I went to see Dermatology Group due to ongoing acne, blemishes, and scarring that had made me feel very self conscious and in distress. I had heard about the Dermatology group for ages since my sister was a client of Dr. Henner. He seemed wonderful. But I was treated by ASHLEY R. VRECENAK.
When I met with Ashley, I voiced my concerns asking specifically for her to treat my acne and the scarring that had resulted. I specifically inquired about Differin, which at that time, needed a prescription. When I inquired about the topical medication, seeing the results my sister got, Ashley blankly looked at me and said, "Why would you need that?" I was stunned. Well, because I've been breaking out and it can help with the acne and scarring.
Ashley, as a medical professional, then said I didn't need Differin. She said all I needed to do was drink more water. I was shocked. I didn't expect a medical professional to use water as a treatment for acne. She didn't even recommend a facewash. Did not recommend any topicals or actives. Just drink more water. I was so upset, I didn't know what to say. I thought it was a joke but she was serious. Its like I was just being turned away even when I knew what the effective treatments are and only to be given unprofessional advice from Ashley.
I have never and will never return to that office. She is terrible at her job. She needs re-coaching in order to provide treatment options for clients. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Thankfully, Differin became available over the counter in 2015, and I have been able to treat the acne myself and through some wonderful doctors elsewhere. read more
