Dr. Stehenson is my dr. at the Hazel dell office. He has treated me for actinic keratosis with that awful freezer canister, but I tell myself i can handle it for 10-15 seconds. I like that he gets it done so quickly. He's very patient and professional. He's very comprehensive in his skin cancer examination. And my skin is not easy, i have freckles, and age spots plus all kinds of spots. He didn't miss a thing. He has also surgically removed some cancer places, I didn't feel a thing. I also like the front office lady wHo checks you in,shes always very nice and love the nurses too. If you want a thorough examination, he's the your guy! read more

I called Dr. Steven's my regular Dr. at the Hazeldell location and they couldn't get me in. I've gone to him for yes as he is very thorough during my annual. I had a suspicious red spot on my leg and didn't want to wait several months. Called the Carmel location and they were able to get me in the next day due to a cancellation. Met with Dr. Huff. He was very nice, as well as the staff and explained what it could be and possible treatments. They also put a rush on my results as I was leaving town in a few days. Our family has used Dr. Huff for over 10 years now, seeing him at both locations (Carmel and Avon). He is a knowledgable and gifted dematologist and has resolved large and small issues using the minimal amount of treatment. He is personable and on time, we never have a long wait in his office. He does a good job of explaining care options. Although my daughter lives in Hawaii, she still retains Dr. Huff to treat her, scheduling visits on return visits to Indy. I visited Dr. Huff at the Avon location years ago after a recommendation from a family friend. He seemed knowledgeable and was thorough with explanations of issues and procedures. Fast forward to present, I've switched locations because Avon was no longer convenient for me. I scheduled an appointment with him, but he referred me to his physician's assistant, Lauren Fahey, for the laser procedure I wanted. Cost was discussed upfront since it was cosmetic elective procedure insurance wouldn't be covering it. She set up an appointment (no cost) to first test my skin, and then about month later the procedure took place. Four weeks later, I'm very happy with the results and would recommend both Dr. Huff and Lauren. The new facility is nice and larger than the old location. The front desk staff could be more friendly and for that I took off a star. read more

After leaving her several voice messages as per instructed on her very long voicemail instructions, she does not care about contacting the client. I had a great experience here with Dr. Alison Launhardt and her staff. I came in for some minor skin issues that had been bothering me. Dr. Launhardt was respectful, comforting and extremely helpful. Huge waits too get in to see a doctor as an adult who needed aa mole check. So instead I saw P.A. Lauren Fahey who ordered medically unnecessary blood work (which I did not know at the time) that was ultimately not covered by insurance. In an attempt to get a costly lab bill straightened out, I ended up speaking to a patronizing nurse who repeatedly said the same line to me and would not listen to my concerns. I felt neither she nor the Derm Inc. billing department cared to help since the money was not due to them. Lessons learned: 1. I need a new dermatology doctor. 2. Always question doctors because they may not have my best interest in mind. read more

Many of the reception staff are rude. In general, appointments with many providers feel like you're in an assembly line. Very little attention paid to each patient. Just cranking through typical acne patients in 15 minute time slots....No urgency in helping patients with serious acne problems. I would highly recommend looking for a different dermatology group. read more

The clinical staff is great. The billing department and their billing ethics are seriously lacking. I would not recommend unless you want to recieve a bill from them 1 1/2 yrs after the fact. They submitted the claim to insurance once and that portion of the bill was paid. They then waited 14 months to "resubmitt the claim". Oh but it was not their fault they waited 14 months to resubmitt the claim......hahaha.....Office manager continued to argue that they were not at fault in any way. I now have to pay out of pocket for a bill from Jan 2021. Had I been billed in 2021, I could have paid the bill and gotten reimbursed. My HSA funds from last year have now been transferred to my 2022 HSA account. Funds can not be used to reimburse me. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Trivedi for tag removal. I mentioned to the doctor that I have some tags around the armpit. she never asked me to take my shirt off or change into a gown but she left my shirt up and said she can see them. When I went home, I found a big tag that is absolutely visible the doctor didn't remove. I called them back and the nurse, Ashley I believe was not nice to me at all. She wants me to come back to get this only one tag left removed for the price of a whole session, which was more than 10 tags removed. She said it's not our fault we didn't see it because you didn't take your shirt off. I mentioned that no one asked me to take it off and I don't know how they run their sessions. She said that she doesn't want to continue the conversation and the only way to get it removed is to take a new appointment and pay the price for the whole session Which I refused to do. I am very disappointed with them and with their excuses that I didn't take my shirt off. NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more

I made an appt. with Dr. Christopher Bohyer on April 24, 2018 to have a mole looked at. I told the mr. Boyher the mole was large and I was worried that it could some day be malignant. He said no problem, he would cut it out just to be sure. I asked him about the cost and he asked me if I had given my insurance information to the front desk, which I had. He checked with the receptionist, came back, and told me that there would be no charge and that it was all covered under my insurance policy. I then mentioned that I had two other spots on my skin and asked his opinion whether those should be removed as well. He said, "since there's no cost, I don't see any reason not to have them removed". He then said, "I will need to send all the samples to the lab to have them tested by a pathologist to make sure they are not malignant. That way we can classify the procedure as a necessary procedure rather than just a cosmetic procedure to make sure it's all covered." I agreed with him and the entire process took less than 30 min. And then 6 MONTHS later I get an invoice for $1,060!! I ignored the first invoice because I had been told there would be "no out of pocket expenses". A month after that my account was sent to a collection company. After calling the dermatologist office multiple times, they're only solution was that they could give me a cash discount. Of course the doctor would not speak to me, and when I asked the billing department why the doctor had lied to me, their response was "insurance didn't cover it." Does it make logical sense that I would order multiple procedures without having any idea of the cost? Does it make sense that I would add additional procedures on top of the initial visit without know that there would be a cost or what that cost would be? Of course not, a logical person doesn't request a bunch of non-life threatening medical procedures without first knowing the cost. Mr. Bohyer handled the situation unprofessionally. Mr. Bohyer does not have integrity. I'm going to go ahead and pay my fees and move on with my life. But my fear is, how many other people has Mr. Boyher done this too? Is this the un-written office policy, to lie about what the patient will be charged and then bill them 6 months later? I wonder how many other people Mr. Boyher has taken advantage of. The general public typically holds the medical profession in high regard, but you have tainted that image. Shame on you sir, shame on you. read more

First I would like to address the negative reviews here. It seems in both cases the people were either the type that run late or miss appointments, well when you are late or miss appointments their are consequences. While we all like to think the world revolves around us it does not. Be on time or cancel your appointments within the required period. I do not give out five stars lightly as you can see but this place has earned them from me! Now I've been coming to this place for over two years once a month. I have NEVER had a bad experience. Are Doctors offices busy, yes, do you have to wait sometimes, yes. Normally it's not he staffs fault it's patients showing up late that throw the entire day off as the office tries to accommodate everyone. I always show up when I'm supposed to and am seen when I expect to be seen. The entire staff is professional and willing to work with whatever needs you have. Dr. Faye, who I see, and her support staff are absolutely the best ever! The only thing I dislike is once a week or a month they have a special kids day where they have the waiting room tvs playing kids shows which tend to be loud and drives me crazy but that's probably just do to me being old now hahah you know the saying if the musics too loud your too old :( They have a great system to call and remind you and confirm appointments as well! I would recommend Dermatology Inc to anyone in need of these type of services. read more

After waiting 45 minutes after my appointment time to even be called back .. I find out the lady waiting in front of me is seeing the same doctor as me and she still hasn't been called back ! Im sorry but I left and won't return ! Dr. Hanover is going to have a hard time building a client base if she can't follow a schedule ! I work for a Dr. So i understand running behind ..... Bit we give a courtesy call to patients if we are running that far behind !!!! Apparently her time is all that matters ! I fell while out for a jog. I got two very small (raisin-sized) scrapes on my chin and upper lip. I was concerned about scarring so saw Dr. Launhardt - for the first and only time. Even though it had only been 9 days since the scrapes and the scabs had already fallen off and all that remained was two reddened spots, she refused to believe that healing - I'm in my sixties - takes time. She was sure this was skin cancer and wanted an immediate skin biopsy - which involves cutting into the face. A few days later I went to a board certified dermatologist who has over 600 5 star reviews. - Understandably she has a long wait time, but I got in when someone cancelled. This expert pronounced Launhardt's thought process and diagnosis to be unfounded. Completely medically unfounded. I strongly advise you not go to Dr. Launhardt. Had I not trusted my own assessment and sought a second opinion I would have had my face cut open for nothing. read more

I had to leave my appointment today after waiting 40 minutes. I showed up early, but the appointment before me did not, so I guess I had to wait for them!?! I really like Dr. Fahey, but Dermatology Inc. is poorly run. I had to get up and ask the receptionist what was going on twice and after 40 minutes she told me they hadn't even gotten my file. No one said I'm sorry, or she will be right with you. They have lost me as a patient. Can these doctors schedule perhaps one less patient a day instead of maximizing their profits and making everyone wait? While I'm surely not as important as a physician, my time is important to me. read more

It was very difficult for me to find a dermatologist that seemed to be able to work with the demands of my schedule. Dr. Christopher Bohyer is a very good doctor. He is very attentive to his patients needs. It is unfortunate that he is associated with Dermatology Inc. I made everyone very aware of the nature of my job and that I may need to reschedule due to my continuously fluctuating schedule regarding my work. I had to cancel 2 follow up appointments due to airport cancellations and adjustments that were out of my control. I recently received a notice from Dermatology Inc that they will no longer be providing service to me as a patient and that I need to find a new doctor. I have made several attempts to contact Dermatology Inc leaving several messages to correct this issue. I have received no correspondence as of this date regarding my issues. There is no way for me to contact Dr. Bohyer's office directly. All calls go through the Dermatology Inc mainline. It would be helpful to be able to reach the doctor's directly. I would discourage anyone from using Dermatology Inc, not because their doctors are ineffective, but rather their service is ineffective. It would behoove the doctors associated with this organization to find a way for their patients to communicate directly with their staff to prevent problems like this in the future, to ensure that their patients have the best service available and continue to come back to them in the future. It is discouraging to think that using a service such as this could actually drive away good patients from a doctor's practice. read more
