I came into the studio (virtually, lol) nervous and super self-conscious about my voice, and she immediately helped me feel at home and more at ease with producing sound. Her technical explanations and the visual imagery she provides during warm-ups have been revelatory as well. She's helped me expand my range, improve my vocal tone, and strengthen my confidence as a singer. I recommend her highly. I'd honestly give her double the stars if I could :)

I have been taking vocal lessons from Morgan for two months and have seen an immediate improvement in my vocal abilities upon starting. As someone who coaches for a living, I immediately recognized Morgan's ability to communicate with me in a clear and direct way. She has the uncanny knack of adapting her style to fit the best way that I learn. Anyone who has taught before knows how hard that is, but Morgan is a natural in this department. If you are looking for a vocal coach who will work on your specific strengths/weaknesses with the utmost mindfulness, and generate results quickly, you have come to the right place.

Playing guitar is in my zone, but I am not a trained singer; hence, I started searching for singing coaches on the Internet. I found HEATHERVOX. She had a lot of positive reviews; hence, I scheduled a session with her; and, I am so happy I did. - She has a beautiful singing voice; and, she immediately assessed my singing competency baseline. - She immediately started me on vocal techniques that quickly controlled the movement of my neck, mouth, and vocal cords. Most importantly, she taught me the importance of relaxing the vocal cords throughout the octaves. - After 40 minutes of teaching proper singing techniques and using the techniques she taught me going up and down scales, it was time to apply the techniques to a song. - I sang, Here Comes The Sun, by the Beatles; and, I was amazed -- I immediately noticed the improvement in my singing -- now, don't get me wrong, it wasn't just "add boiling water and instant noodles" kind-of- thing, but it was a drastic and noticeable improvement in my singing voice. I still have a lot of work and practice to do. Now, I have more controlled volume, my voice is more robust, colorful, and dimensional, AND I am able to hit higher notes easier without strain. I was also amazed with the added tone quality Heather gave me through her singing techniques. Heather recorded my session; hence, I have a starting baseline of my singing voice. I can track my progress. I also have recordings of the techniques she taught me; so, I can replicate them while doing my homework. I have 6 months from today, 23-January-2025, to get my singing skills on-point; hence, I am 100% certain, working with Heather, will get me to my goal. I scheduled additional appointments with her, and she gave me homework and exercises to work on before my next session. I really enjoy the straw exercise -- extremely helpful. Finally, I like that Heather has good business ethics. She assessed my progress and gave me a class schedule that matched her forecast of my progress within the 6 months -- she didn't try to sell me more lessons than I needed. I'm very happy working with Heather to get me to my singing goals for this feature film. Check 6! /s/ Alfonso Faustino

We always knew she had vocal talent, but she had no formal training and under Kate's direction she has flourished. Kate is extremely positive and nurturing which has really helped my daughter come out of her shell and take risks to audition, perform solos, etc. Kate is also a dream to deal with from a parent perspective - lessons are at your own home and she's very forgiving with our constantly changing schedule. I would highly recommend Kate for children and adults, regardless of your vocal aspirations.

I used to sing when in high school and college and my husband is also very musical, but we were struggling with working with our daughter on her vocals, as she just was not as open to feedback from us (I'm sure other parents can relate!), so we figured a teacher would be better. Our daughter immediately clicked with Kate and just LOVED working with her from the start. Kate has helped her make incredible strides in her vocal ability over the last year, bringing her true voice out! In fact, she just finished her performance as one of the leads in the school musical Once on This Island (see photo posted by Kate), and I'm certain that her work with Kate made a big difference! Kate has also acted as a life coach (my daughter's description, not mine!) as she's helped her work through times when she was lacking confidence or second guessing herself in her song selections. Not only is Kate a fantastic vocals teacher, but she's also a wonderful person that we have all come to adore and consider a friend! I can't recommend her enough.

Pierce is an incredible teacher and a great person!…read more I took lessons with Pierce for about 6 months. Going into lessons, I could not have imagined that the progress we made was even possible. For example, I have gained about 4-5 new notes in my "mix" voice, which were far too high for me to sing beforehand. Pierce helped me reach my potential with very tailored exercises that helped me understand some of the more nuanced and abstract concepts in singing, such as resonance in the "mask" and engagement of the vocal folds. Pierce makes it easy for his students to practice at home by recording exercises and sending them to you after your lesson. This helped me to make my practice sessions structured, consistent and efficient. Most importantly, Pierce is a kind person and supportive teacher. I perform regularly in the area, and Pierce went out of his way to attend my shows, and even invited his friends to come along with him. I can't recommend Pierce highly enough!

He started me out slowly, teaching me warm-ups and the general physical elements (e.g., hard palate, soft palate, diaphragm, etc.) of the voice. Over the last year, I've made great strides with my vocal development and recently performed in a production of Pirates of Penzance with confidence from his tutelage. Pierce bases much of his instruction on his own experience. As a performer himself, he can expand beyond typical voice instruction and offer tips for performance as well. His studio is also a nicely private setup that makes for a safe environment to "make mistakes" or to make discoveries. I've greatly enjoyed working with Pierce and highly recommend working with him.

In fact, I'm writing this review while he is practicing "Scarborough Fair." He's come a long way since playing early pieces without chords. :) The owner hires excellent instructors. That's one of the advantages of going to a studio instead of trying to find someone on your own. He's had the same main teacher for his whole time here, but every substitute teacher that he's had has been very good with kids. That's another advantage of a studio: weekly lessons whether or not your main instructor can make it. If you want to make progress at an instrument, you need to make a weekly commitment. The system of instruction seems to be well-thought out. I like the main set of piano books that they use, and they also add other types of pieces--jazz, some pop tunes--so that he is learning more than just the classical style. The teachers have also been willing to work with my son's interests. When he expressed an interest in playing Master of Puppets (not my idea ...) and Pinball Wizard, they found suitable music for his level so that he could give the pieces a shot. Everything is really well organized. The shift to online instruction with COVID was handled very well. It's been easy to get online with the music teachers. We also get emails after the lesson detailing what he needs to cover in the following week. I think the class makeup policy is completely fair. It is simply unreasonable to allow students to reschedule classes. For one, there is no space for it in a teacher's schedule, and it is unfair to ask teachers to reserve a couple hours a week for makeup slots that might be filled or might not be filled, effectively denying them compensation for those hours in their week. A teacher should not be robbed of income just because a family can't make a regularly scheduled time slot. And the makeup lessons they do offer are fine--they kept my son on track with his musical development, which is what I really want to see. By the way, this is not just a studio for kids who love to practice and do so without being asked. My son is not always enthusiastic about practicing, but the teachers have done a great job of keeping him motivated and working with him on those days when he hasn't done enough or is feeling a little unmotivated. Also, the studio does a great job of using a rewards system to motivate kids to keep practicing regularly. Getting music lessons can be a tremendous benefit for your child's mind and spirit. If you are thinking about music lessons for your child, but hesitant about the investment, take a look at the research that shows how music benefits cognition, memory, and mood. For a few hundred dollars a month you can potentially help your child get more out of school, as well as open up new worlds of possibility for career and social life. Amabile is a great place to make that happen. Our family is very, very happy with how we have seen our son progress.
