They offer patio seating as well as several tables in the inside. My group settled on several dishes. Veal with tuna cream (€15 - $17 USD) - Perfect for a hot day, tender slices of veal were served with a tuna cream and provided for a truly memorable experience. Saffron Risotto (€18 - $20 USD) - This is probably their most popular dish and with the saffron flavoring it really elevated the flavor profile. Fusili Pasta - (€12 - $13.50 USD) - This pasta was prepared al dente and tasted great with the pesto and pine nuts. Overall everything tasted great. The dishes were unique and refreshing!

We unfortunately could not snag a reservation in time, but I read that they sometimes have walk-in openings. We came about 30 minutes early to see if we could get a seat, and they did say the bar was open. We were happy to even have a chance to get in on the first round so we said yes. When they opened at 6pm, we checked back in and they actually offered a table, so as long as we finished our meal within 2 hours. That is more than enough time for my husband and I since we eat fairly quick so we got lucky! Service was great throughout our meal! We had a chance to try one of the best balsamic vinegars with our bread, thanks to our server. The fried squash blossoms were amazing but that aioli served alongside it was what stole the show! We enjoyed our Risotto alla Milanese, but the small piece of bone marrow left us wanting more. This was the main thing we came for and it was delicious. We also tried a cold tagliatelle which was very unique in flavor! I forget exactly but it had pine nuts and a citrus that made it very bright. Overall a great spot for a more upscale dining meal, and I see why this restaurant is highly rated.

With such praise and renown on numerous online forums -- along with its Michelin Bib Gourmand…read morestatus -- I was excited for Ratanà, the summer tasting menu (ghe pensi mi) for 85 euros especially appealing. However, despite its farm-to-table concept, sourcing the season's freshest ingredients, it was only just OK. The starters, such as the fig salad with whipped ricotta, and smoked alpine charr, were both very refreshing -- and ignited excitement for what was to follow. The "Vitello Tonnato" (veal w/ tuna sauce), however, as the first larger format item in the tasting menu, was a bit too overpowering in the tuna. The sauce was also pasty, the texture completely off-putting. Further, the "Risotto Alla Vecchia Milano" with saffron, while a regional specialty and presented beautifully, was one-dimensional, the bone marrow and accompanying marrow scraper a laughable inclusion since there was not an iota of marrow in my bone. The dessert, a summer panettone w/ candied apricots and apricot sorbet, was a worthy effort to elevate the otherwise boring fruitcake, but it was still heavily reminiscent of the usually pre-packaged, overly processed sweet cake, in the end. On a positive note, a Hugo Spritz was only 10 euros and many of their cocktails around 14. Coperto was 4 euros per person (on the higher end). We had a reservation booked far in advance and were seated promptly. Inside is pretty tight that even the servers were struggling to navigate through the throng -- and we had different people doing different things too. Overall, the restaurant felt very confused in what it was trying to achieve. If you're really curious and wanting to cash in on all the positive online reception, I'd say go for the tasting menu because 85 euros is a spectacular price-point -- and perhaps you'll have better luck on the season's offerings.
