The interior is really cool. I like the decoration and the upstairs is nice too. It was what I would expect a German pub/restaurant would look like. Overall, the prices were higher than I expected, but I think it's because it's right in the middle of the city and they give you A LOT of food. Here's what we ordered:
Sudhausteller (15.30 euros)- This was some cut of pork with some vegetables in a cream sauce, and cooked potatoes in a skillet. It was pretty tasty. The meat was cooked nicely and the sides were delicious.
Schnitzel (15.30 euros)- I was a little peeved. I didn't want the mushroom sauce on it, but they said it was impossible to serve it without the sauce. Weird. I got it anyway, and it was a little soft (because of all the sauce), and bland. The fries were alright.
Kotelett (17. 30 euros)- This was a shoulder cut of beef (I think). It was massive and delicious looking, and it certainly caught the grown mens attention at the table next to us. They wouldn't stop looking over and explaining "boh! Look at that thing! Are you hungry!?" It must have been good too, because our friend ate the whole thing.
blueberry crepe (7.80 euros)- They weren't able to serve it without the whipped cream. Why? I'm confused. I guess they must have pre-made them. But they had like 4 little dollops of whipped cream around the outside. It was just weird that they couldn't serve it without it. It looked good, and I tried some of the vanilla sauce. It was tasty.
All in all it was a really great time. We got SO much food for a reasonable price, and the waitress was able to get us everything we wanted. I think she was waiting on everyone in the bottom floor, which came out to be 5 or 6 tables. She was really great. read more
