When the weather warmed I wasn't entirely satisfied with the cooling aspect. The smart thermostat is complicated and doesn't come with a manual. When I reached out, they scheduled a service call combined with final inspection. The tech was great, made necessary adjustments to the coolant and fan. Equally important- he took the time to go through the features of the thermostat that I didn't understand before. Between the adjustments and new knowledge, I was cool and comfortable in no time. The tech was great at explaining how the system works, and even said we could call him directly with subsequent questions. I would absolutely recommend Standard.

They offered many financing options to choose from. When we agreed on an install date, Ben showed up in the morning. He explained what he was going to do per quote & got to work. He installed walking mats to protect the carpet & put in a long day. He started with the demo. We both remarked how quiet he was & we were both able to work upstairs. They pulled permits & had a separate gas guy and a couple of electricians to assist. When it was completed, they showed us what was done & how it operates. We ended up with 25 months same as cash financing & an extra year on the factory 10 yr. warranty for a total of 11 years! They left us with 3 extra filters too. The weren't the cheapest quote but we wanted someone who would be around in the future that we could count on if problems arose. I will highly recommend them to anyone that needs work. We got quoted over $2,800 for a water heater or $2,600 if we got the service plan. It seemed high so I called the other company that I have also relied on for appliance and hvac. They were $1,749.51 (including tank, supplies, permit, labor, disposal and tax). I called the technician back from Sedgwick because I wanted to give them first crack at a price match (I frankly would have gone up to $2,000 to match because I like to give the business to good technicians who come right out and are so professional and good). He checked with the company and the company was unwilling to change. So, I went with the other company. For an about $1,000 savings I had to. I like Sedgwick and have had good luck with them in the past (as well as today with the technician - he was fantastic), but with this experience I would ALWAYS get quotes if considering them now.

Kyle was not too happy and fond in the idea that my household is getting quotes from a few other companies for heating and cooling. "Wait wait wait, I'm confused because you're calling me but telling me you have multiple other people coming in and out of the house for quotes. So what is the job that you need done?" Us: "both... we need the mini split looked at and have the remotes reconnected plus we're looking at quotes. That's what you do to get the best prices and knowledge for a job that needs to be done". According to Kyle, AC and cooling companies "don't do that to each other", meaning the business industry is not a competitive market and therefore the person you call first has to be the person you hire. That's the impression you just put out and that was the most inappropriate phone call coming from a business begging for 'votes' on the quality of your work and business. Guess my home will be the first to say that I would NOT recommend a company more concerned on their arrogance and pushing customers to not receive quotes on a multi thousand dollar job... not to mention how inappropriate it was to treat us like we can't afford $80.00 some dollars to replace remotes on our current mini split. The estimator did not pressure me whatsoever and I ended up getting a quote for a furnace and AC unit replacement. The quote was thorough and after researching everything, I determined it was a fair deal. I went ahead with the purchase and they were out a few days later to get the job done. I cannot begin to tell you how incredibly professional and personable everyone was. They did a stellar job replacing everything and I had no idea how big of a difference this upgrade would make. Additionally, the small details didn't go unnoticed. The new vent going outside, the thermostat and even the Rumpca sticker on the ducts were level and neat.
