Zero stars, I'm another customer who bought yet another faulty Frigidaire stove and had their house fill up with gas. Just like another review, the gas company came and said the stove was unsafe. They even diagnosed it and wrote it down so repairing it would be a no-brainer. Look at the photos of conversations with this company. I also have a recording of a technician named Omar calling me and screaming because I asked if my part had been ordered. It wasn't. They never ordered it and Omar told Electrolux he came to my house and fixed it when he never came to my house. I have proof. It was never fixed and we reported it as fraud. Don't waste your time with these people, they are complete scammers. I placed an order direct with Electrolux for a prepaid service on 11/7 for an appt on 11/13. Get a text that morning to confirm, then the tech calls when he's on his way. So far so good. I tell him what's wrong, he says he needs to order a part, it will take 10 days. OK, no issue. A couple of weeks later, I get the call, schedule the follow up for 12/3. Same deal: text in the morning to confirm, I do, he calls before he comes. He shows up. Wrong part. Not a good start but mistakes happen, I'm not overly concerned. I get another call to reschedule the appt. Scheduled for 12/11. Get a text in the morning, I confirm. Tech completely no shows. No call or anything after the text confirm. I call the office, and I'm told the tech saw that he didn't have the part yet so he didn't come. Didn't bother telling me anything. Great. Fast forward several more weeks, I get a call on 12/18 to reschedule the appt. I ask first to confirm that the part is in, lady on the phone assures me it is. First appointment is 12/29. I ask if there's anything earlier, I've been waiting over a month already. No, appointments are being prioritized for ovens and essential appliances. Great, I guess my month+ wait is meaningless. Fine, I wait. TODAY is 12/29. Again I get the text confirm in the morning, I confirm. Complete no show. I call at the end of the window, she has no idea what's going on. She calls the tech, no answer. Says she'll call back in 10 mins. I give her 15. Finally get her on the phone again, and she comes back with the same BS that they don't have the part. I've wasted 7 weeks and 4 days off to deal with these people. I can order the part direct from Electrolux and have it in 2 days, but this professional repair company can't figure it out in 7 weeks. Now I have to figure out how to get my money back from Electrolux, because they took my money up front 7 weeks ago and gave the service call to the worst company I've ever dealt with. Absolutely garbage! Came to my house and diagnosed problems for repair and needed parts - - - two weeks passed and never called back to finish work. So I called and a nasty and rude lady literally lied to me about my work order saying that they were waiting for parts but when I asked if she had my contact information and order number she could confirm to me. So I called Frigidaire and found out that nothing was ever ordered or confirm to them about my work order. So they made waste three weeks without refrigerator in a house with two kids! Absolute and utter garbage service and lack of professionalism from the technician and representative on the phone. I would leave zero stars if that was an option. After purchasing a Frigidaire oven 2 months ago, when I was preheating the oven the other day, the entire house smelled like gas. The police, fire department, and PSEG came. They determined it wasn't a gas leak, and that it was due to a faulty oven part (oven igniter). PSEG left me a warning slip saying the oven igniter is faulty and needs to be repaired. Electrolux sent a third party (Dependable Appliance) to check out the issue this week. The tech who was there said he agreed with PSEG, it's a faulty oven igniter, that they would order me the part and then schedule an appointment with me to install the new part. He said if I don't hear back from them in 2 days to schedule an appointment for the installation of the new part that I should call them and follow up. I didn't hear anything so 2 days later I followed his advice and called back Dependable Appliance. The lady on the phone said that the tech put in his notes essentially that there was nothing wrong with the appliance and to get a second opinion. I said that was BS and in person the tech told me something different. In person He told me he agreed w PSEG and that they'd order a new igniter for me etc (see above). So either he lied in his report, or the lady on the phone lied. The lady put me on hold for 15 minutes as she looked into it further, then she returned to the call, and told me there was nothing Dependable Appliance could do for me. I continued to plead my case and highlight how what the tech supposively put in his notes was different than what he told me in person. She said "we've been on the phone for 20 minutes (after she put me on hold for 15 of those 20) I have to go" and hung up on me. Do not use them. If Electrolux schedules a service call on your behalf, ensure you tell them "do not send someone from Dependable Appliance." They know exactly what they did and the other reviews on here show this is not an isolated incident but a consistent pattern with them. Garbage. 0/10. As for the owner who seemingly likes to respond to fair reviews with "you look like the type who would run to the internet and leave a review there's something wrong with you!" , I'd like to note that this is only the 4th review I've ever left in my life despite being a yelp member many years. I am leaving it to try to help other potential customers from getting taken advantage of. Also, if the majority of reviews on here are negative (which they are), how does Dependable Appliance explain that? Do they really think they're just the unluckiest people in the world and they're victims? Is there some conspiracy against them? Dependable is certainly not living up to their name. Frigidaire contacted Dependable Appliance to repair my refrigerator under warranty. The technician arrived (with no tools) and diagnosed that it needed a part as items in the refrigerator were freezing. He said it was a known defect with the model. He increased the refrigerator temperature to 40 and said he would order the part. I kept calling to find out the status of the part and a few weeks later they confirmed the part was in but the technician needed to pick it up at the office, which may or may not have happened. So we're now 5 weeks past the original diagnosis and still no date is set for the repair. I finally get a date for service and I call on the date they are supposed to arrive for the repair, and they tell me that they'll have to reschedule. I call Frigidaire, who tells me that Dependable told them that they installed the part (they did not), so we start the process again with a different repair company, and guess what, they cancel the appointment at 4:20 on the afternoon when the window they gave me was between 1:00 and 5:00. So now almost 2 months from my original call and I'm still in the same position as day one. Dependable should change their name to UNdependable and Frigidaire should vet their subcontractors much better. read more

To anyone be looking to use this service! As Matt's brother, I need to set the record straight on a few things. I was there that day, listening from the other room, and your technician, Omar, did not perform any actual repair work on the washing machine. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes. My brother, in good faith and out of courtesy, gave him a $20 tip because he thought the machine had been fixed, even though Omar didn't stick around to run a full cycle to confirm the repair. The claim that the machine was unbalanced is completely false. Our Midea washing machine has an auto-balance mechanism with sensors; it balances itself. That's a ridiculous assertion to make. After Omar left, thinking the machine was repaired, my brother and I immediately tried to run a full load, and the machine malfunctioned in the exact same way it did before the service call. The issue was not resolved. If Omar truly "fixed" the machine, it wouldn't have immediately repeated its malfunction. This review from my brother was written in earnest. It seems you're more interested in defending your technician's version of events rather than acknowledging the reality of what transpired. I personally do not recommend your company for appliance repairs. You failed to live up to your word and provided a disservice. The most frustrating part was Omar explicitly stating he couldn't wait for a full cycle to run because he had other calls, especially since the malfunction typically occurs during the last phase of the spin cycle. You mention my brother texting someone on their cell phone on a Sunday. He was trying to provide you with a video of the machine malfunctioning, as that was the only way to clearly demonstrate the problem. As for Omar not seeing the refrigerator, I can assure you he did comment on it, making an unsolicited and inappropriate remark about it being a Samsung. STOP STOP STOP!!! these people. I requested to have my Midea washing machine fixed. The machine would twist and throw the clothes to one side before the spin cycle. they dispatched an incompetent repair person who was looking to get out after being there for 5 min. He told me that he couldn't hang around because he had other calls too . Only one way you can is to let it get through a cycle and then diagnose what the problem is. right away he wanted to throw not knowing what the problem was once in a while the machine would start to kick in and work 99% at a time it would throw all the clothes to the side and start banging and off balance. He said he was going to order and let me know what the prices were. They never called me back and never let me were. I sent them a video of what the was doing, and the lady called me back and yelled at me for sending her text messages with all that on there, but that was the only way that I can it was was doing. I am getting someone different to come tomorrow please please please do not call Dependable Appliance because they are not very dependable. Had to hire another technician. The tech from Dependable Appliance did not install the pump correctly and left something unplugged on the bottom of the unit. When the wire was plugged back in the error cleared, and the unit began to cycle and then water poured out of the unit due to the pump not being installed right. Relieved in a sense to see that I'm not the only one experiencing problems with "UNDEPENDABLE". Had a problem with my Midea washing machine. Called the manufacturer and they told me to call "UNDEPENDABLE". They came out pretty quickly. Technician said I had a defective machine to no fault of mine and needed a new motor. Said he would indicate that in his report and I should have it on Monday. I waited til Tuesday and gave them a call. The girl said she would text it over. Never got it. Called every single day and got different girls. One who was extremely nasty and hung up on me. Steve finally called me himself and seemed to want to help. He sent over the invoice which I needed to get to midea bc they were going to pay for the repair. That was 4 weeks ago. I have since yet been able to get one person on the phone. They don't answer. I have left messages, sent emails, text messages, my husband called. Nothing. Even Midea called and nothing. This place needs to be out of business. Maybe the better business bureau needs to be alerted. Disgusting. Above and beyond?? You sent me an invoice. Wow!! 4 weeks not one call back to me nor my husband. Called 2x a day. Left messages begging you to please return a call. Sent emails pleading with you to give me 5 min. I waited 4 weeks to write this to give you the benefit of the doubt. I have every call and email documented. It's amazing how quick you respond to negative feedback. had a problem with a Frigidaire ice maker that was purchased in june of 2024. Frigidaire contracted with this company. They came out 3-4 times to assess, replace a part that never fixed the issue and they came out again to assess, stated a new motor was needed and they would look for one and let us know. They also stated that if they could not locate one, we may need to replace the refrigerator. We never heard from them again, no returned calls. PATHETIC is an understatement! Submitted Samsung claim on 3/11/24. Technician came out on 3/12, nice enough guy, said the icemaker was shot (2 yr old fridge, mind you). Said he needed to order it and would let us know when it came in. 2 wks go by NOTHING! Called Samsung, called Dependable (lol), still nothing. Additional week goes by finally guy comes out and replaces icemaker. Next day I check, NO ICE, problem not fixed. 4/5 call Samsung since problem wasn't fixed, same technician comes out on 4/8, says some valve is bad, will order part and let me know, fine. However, why should i expect repair on a $3000+ microwave oven combo unit that went dead (ie. control board dead) after only 10 days of use? Had a broken dryer still under warranty with a scheduled appointment for repairs with Dependable. Tech was sick so we were told the day of the appointment we had to reschedule. Spoke to Debbie. We already had been days without a working appliance so we called the retailer (Lowe's) to see if we could get sooner options. Lowe's told us Dependable was the only servicer in our area. We called back Dependable and spoke to Debbie who gave us a new date with no time range and also told us we would get a call the day before (after 5pm) to get a time range for the service repair. Similar to everyone else on these reviews - I was forced to use them as part of my PC Richards warranty on my dryer. They scheduled a 4 hour service window which I called 3 times to confirm as well as replying "C" to confirm their text message. I missed their service techs phone call because I was in the elevator at work - I called the number back 3 times 5 minutes later with no answer. They never showed up and tried to blame me for missing their one random phone call for which there was no voicemail or anything as the reason they canceled my appointment. When they finally showed up the next day I was at work and told me the reason my dryer wasn't working was because the vent tube was clogged with lint. I thought that was odd as the dryer and vent tube were less than a year old. When I got home and checked the tube there was barely any lint and the airflow was strong. Therefor I am still stuck with a broken dryer with 4 little kids. I don't know what their deal is but they are definitely more interested in scamming companies with warranties than actually providing service to customers. Scheduled an AC repair (it's 95F in NYC). Was told I would get a call in the morning. Never got the call. After repeated calls to their 718 number was finally given a 10 AM. After no one showed up and after repeated wait on the call line was give a window of noon to 5 PM. This time I called and requested to know where the tech was or what my place in the queue was. I cannot believe a reputable company like Elextrolux has any sort of association with this horrible repair company. THEY ARE ANYTHING WHAT THIER NAME CONVAYS. If I could give them a lower rating it's till too high. The first time out the technician came out opened the freezer and said he couldn't fix it and it had to be replaced completely without even moving it. Called Electrolux to have them replace it and they said they never got a call from the technician and they needed to call in the technician center for diagnostics - why didn't this technician do so to begin with - who knows maybe it's the natural laziness of the technician. Electrolux calls and has dependable send out another technician, he comes pulls the freezer out, scratches up our floors in the process, not able to fix it, calls the technician center and we get the diagnostic. I'm waiting a week now for next steps. I call Electrolux who said that they didn't hear anything from "dependable" (why because of course they aren't dependable) and so I call them they said something like the technician didn't send in the report or something like that - they finally send it in. Called Electrolux to get the part ordered and it arrives. I called "un"Dependable" to schedule the repair and that I have the part. The receptionist or person whoever she is, well I know what she is but we are in mixed company, said that they don't have the part and attacked me with - "who said we have the part? who called you saying that?" In which I explained, I have the part not you - electrolux sent it to me. Which I know why because of how undependable Dependable is that they probably would have lost it. I digress - So now she tells me that the earliest to come out would be a week later. I finally agree. Week passes and hooray, we are all excited we will have a working freezer by end of the day because (un)Dependable is coming out today to fix it! I call the company around 9am, the same "receptionist' answers and I confirm the appointment. She tells me that the technician will be there between 8-12 Noon. (interesting I am calling at 9am, I don't think the technician will be here anywhere in the 8am hour). I let her know, that I and my wife are home all day and we are ready and no need to call to confirm as I am confirming it now. I have a call with a client around 10am - a call comes in - I can't get off that call because it's my client and when with my clients I give full attention to what they need and our discussion. 15mins pass and I call back the number which is (un)Dependable where the thief of oxygen who answers tells me "we made multiple attempts to contact you and had to reroute our technician and we have to reschedule you for next week." -ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME!!!!!!!! I've been waiting over 6months for this to get fixed and they reroute the tech because they didn't make contact with me - how about the call an hour ago confirming the appointment. I ask to speak to the manager, nothing - not here. Manager - not here. Manager - he cant do anything more than I can. Manager please. - All I can do is reschedule you. I'm so pissed beyond belief! These people are such scum and a perfect example of what is wrong with society today. rerouting the tech after only 15mins - the guy is not out of the area just F-ing lazy and wants to get home sooner to go smoke a bowl and rub one out to the Pamala and Tommy video which he still has on VHS.
