After receiving several bids, we chose Richardson Concrete of Shelley, Idaho, to replace our crumbling 57-year-old driveway, main entrance walkway, street gutter, curb and sidewalk.
Richardson Concrete is busy -- a good sign -- so it took months to get the job scheduled and underway. But once it was, they were prompt, reliable, skilled and professional. The workers were friendly, polite, respectful, and responsive to questions and concerns. We have more deteriorating concrete to replace, and we definitely will consider using Richardson again.
Now, for the few bugs that emerged:
-- A worker left boot prints in the wet concrete of a sidewalk square and on the existing concrete, which Richardson promptly replaced;
-- A thin, easy-to-miss crack in an entryway square developed, which Richardson offered to resolve however I wanted it to be. After consulting with their finisher, who arrived ready to fix it however I wished, I decided to live with it and see how it developed;
-- Specks of concrete splatter hit the house siding, perhaps because the crew didn't cover the siding with plastic sheeting, as I think they should have. This hasn't been resolved as of this writing.
-- I found Richardson Concrete to be busy, and for good reason. They are professional, responsive, honest, and pleasant to work with. Just be prepared to wait, perhaps months, to move up in their schedule.
