My adult son was in need of a new mattress, so my friend and I traveled down from Taos to go shopping with him. The first place we stopped was Denver Mattress. It was clean and pleasant inside and we were immediately greeted by Amanda Kelly. What a wealth of knowledge that woman has! We felt that we were in good hands from the moment we stepped into the store. She asked all the right questions and guided us to the section of the store that was within my son's budget with mattresses that provided the support and medium firmness to fit his needs. Once he made his selection she patiently explained the purchase and delivery process and answered every question that the 3 of us threw at her. She is a gem and you're lucky to have her as an employee. If you're looking for a mattress, I recommend that you ask for Amanda! read more

Denver Mattress has quality mattresses at reasonable prices and more expensive brands like Purple for those interested. Great warranty as well. They sell amazing pillows (I never rave about pillows, but this may be an exception) and wonderful cotton sheets - Pima, percale, organic percale, or long staple. If you're shopping for a bed platform, they sell regular bed or motorized, which is an adjusting platform to raise the head of the bed (for people with acid reflux, GERD, hiatal hernias). Amanda is stellar! She is warm and well-informed. Highly recommend! read more

Amanda was knowledgeable about every mattress I 'tried out', giving information about each, addressing the issues I had with my back and sleeping positions. She took her time, was professional and personable. read more

We had a positive experience at Denver Mattress. It was made possible by Andrew on the original order and Amanda on the follow-up. Andrew was knowledgeable, experienced and helpful. The delivery company was also extremely helpful and waited while I called the store for an order clarification. Amanda was amazing and also knowledgeable. She was also able to access our order information and assist us in figuring out which mattress went where. Delivery time happened just as Andrew anticipated. read more

Amanda rocks! She was knowledgeable, kind and patient. We felt we had the information we needed to make a good decision. The delivery and set-up was great. So far, so good, the mattress is very comfortable! This is the second time we have purchased a mattress at Denver Mattress in Santa Fe. The first time was in 2017 for a different room and both experiences have been wonderful. read more

Amanda was amazing, informative, helpful, kind, and honest. I needed a bed immediately. She checked the inventory, listened to my needs (I broke my back), and was so helpful and patient helping me find the right mattress. I got it the next day. Unlike other stores in town, they have a trial period and warranty that is clearly explained in writing. I'd highly recommend. It was a great shopping experience, and so far I love my new mattress. read more

We needed to replace a mattress in our condo but needed to do it on short notice. The Best Buy rating by Consumer Reports steered us to Denver mattress and we were delighted that Matt, the store manager, said he could make an early morning delivery to get us a mattress before we departed. He was totally helpful in a non-pushy way. I perceived, after only 15 or 20 minutes, that he was an exceptional human being. Sure enough, the delivery van showed up within two minutes of the promised 6:45 AM. To my great surprise, it was Matt himself and another person who made the delivery. His other guy had an exam and couldn't make it, so Matt filled in. What an amazing example of exceptional service! Reading some of the reviews, I was amazed to find unhappy customers. I am certain this is explained by the fact that Matt had a serious medical problem about a year ago and probably was not the one they were referring to. I cannot recommend strongly enough that you buy your mattress from this location. read more

We recently stopped by Denver Mattress knowing we were buying a mattress that day. Mathew helped us understand the different materials and answered all our questions without trying to up sell us (we did that on our own). We chose a mattress that needed to be special ordered and it arrived in no time at all. Thanks Mathew and Denver Mattress. read more

I'm really happy with my experience here. They turned mattress buying from a nightmare into a breeze. I went in asking for something firm. My previous mattress (an overpriced Tempur Pedic, unfortunately) was so unsupportive and way too soft that I was getting bad back pain. The sales associate took me around the store to try out all the firmer mattresses. He never pushed me to buy any specific brand, which was great, and he left me alone to let me try the mattresses. I tried pretty much everything: more Tempur Pedics (but was feeling too bitter about it), Purple, Casper, Stearns, Denver, etc. I ended up liking the Telluride ultra firm the most, and got it. I was willing to pay whatever it took to get a good mattress and the Telluride was actually pretty inexpensive compared to the other mattresses at well under $2k for everything (mattress, foundation, frame, pillows, protector, delivery), which was less than my Tempur Pedic mattress by itself! They have some mattresses available in store that you can get in just 1-2 days, which is really nice if you're desperate for one, and they do deliver to surrounding communities like Espanola and Los Alamos. The Telluride had to be ordered so I decided to be patient and wait (while racking up back pain every day). It only took 4 days until they got it down here from Denver and then they were able to deliver it on a Sunday morning, which was super convenient for me so I didn't have to take off work. They arrived exactly on time and set everything up quickly. It was pouring rain but everything stayed dry. The quality of the products (all Denver Mattress brand) is great. The frame is much more supportive than my old one that creaked, although the wheels are a bit annoying to move. The foundation has a solid flat top which will be good for support. The mattress itself is really comfy so far. After a week of sleeping on it my morning back pain went from 9/10 to 2/10, and it's almost gone. Overall I'm really happy with this experience. Mattress buying can be terrible with pushy sales associates, delayed shipping, missed delivery times, defective products, etc. But everything went smoothly with this store and my old mattress nightmare is in the past. I also feel pretty confident with their policy (4/8/12 month) that if I hated my mattress I could go back there and exchange it for something else with ease. This makes me feel less stressed about my purchase. read more

My wife and I needed to replace our king sized bed. We didn't want to spend a lot of money, but after looking around at the other mattress stores in town we had grown accustomed to the idea that we were going to have to spend 4 or 5k to get a good bed. Denver mattress blew us out of the water. Where most other stores offered beds for 4 or 5k, we were able to buy a mattress, sheets, pillows, mattress protector, duvet, comforter, and an adjustable platform. All of it for less than what most other people were offering just the mattress for. I will never go anywhere else to buy my beds again. Our salesman was friendly and very knowledgeable. He listened to us carefully, asked some questions, did a cool muscle test with us, and pointed us to a couple of beds that addressed our concerns perfectly. We bought the 'Richmond'. We have had it for a few months now and we are sleeping better than we ever have. read more

We were greeted by Matt within a few seconds of walking in. We told him what we needed and he had us try out a few different mattresses by a few different brands. He listened to our feedback and directed us to mattresses that worked for us - not just the fanciest one they have in the store. Zero pressure at all -- when we told him the price-point we wanted to stay in, he directed us to a Drs. Choice mattress that met our budget and is very comfortable. We were in and out in 30 minutes or less, and the transaction could not have been easier. This was the opposite of every terrible mattress shopping experience I have had in the past! Highly recommend this store if you're looking for a new mattress. read more

If you are in a situation where you are buying a mattress and do not have thousands to drop, this mattress and this company will seem like a great value. The mattress itself is not all that bad, there are better. The INCREDIBLY absorbent mattress cover stains if you show it a picture of sweat. Basically anything and everything will get this thing dirty. Dirty voids your 10 year warranty. So what ever you do buy the mattress protector that does not breath and sweat your ass to death, because there is not replacing it, and yep you guessed it there is no way to clean it. read more

I waited until after we slept on our new mattress for 2 weeks before writing this review because I wanted to be sure about my feelings and experience concerning this purchase. October 17, 2016 I purchased a Natasha Plush Pillow Top "Black" California King http://denvermattress.furniturerow.com/dmc/Beautyrest-Black/2016-Beautyrest-Black-Group/Natasha-Plush-Pillow-Top/prod2110169//#.WBZ-XEnnbb0 I have suffered back and body pain for several years and wanted a bed that would help me sleep better and not add to my pains and my husband had just had a surgery to the abdomen. I own my own company and often work in bed during early hours so I need a bed that is large and wide enough for laptops, briefcases and my husband. I also often hang my legs over the sides of the bed working at my table and need absolute comfort to my legs. Both me and my husband are very tall and big in size. Matt the Manager/Customer Service person followed us around the store giving valuable information about mattresses and entertaining us with life's stories but more importantly he was listening intensely to our needs and quietly storing the information. He was honest and forthcoming when asked questions. We neared the end of our tour and trial of mattresses when he calmly suggested the Natasha Black. We tried it and was stunned at is feel and comfort. The California King was extremely wide and long It satisfied both the needs of me and my husband. The bed doesn't bounce or shake so he can sleep while I work. Matt was actually listening to us the entire time we took the tour!!! Next Step: We made the purchase and arranged the delivery. The Delivery guys were on time and attentive. Next Step: Sleep on the mattress :) which we did for 2 glorious weeks there is a rhythm to sleeping on a memory foam mattress and once you learn it you are in heaven!! We are grateful to Matt and his staff for helping our family meet its needs for comfort and rest. Santa Fe Denver Mattress Company Rocks!! read more

Needed to replace our 10 year old mattress and was overwhelmed by all of the online options. I just needed to feel my different choices. We popped in one afternoon just out of curiosity and were greeted with excellent customer service. Matt really listened to our needs and led us to the perfect product. We went away thinking we could find a comparable mattress online. That just led to more frustration. We finally went back and worked with the same sales associate who gave us his full attention. We walked away with the bed of our dreams. I'm so glad I bought local. All in all a wonderful experience. read more

This IS why I purchased my mattress at the store in Albuquerque - the sales rep in Santa Fe was horrifying and arrogant. We went to the store back in August and were turned off by the sales rep. Decided to go with Sleep Number and turned out not to be so great. Went to the Denver Mattress in ABQ, I'll give them 5 stars but NOT the Santa Fe store. The sales rep wasn't much of help and he didn't want to do any extra work but for me to contact ABQ store. Recommendation - Go to Denver Mattress in Albuquerque and you'll find a pleasant sales rep instead of snobbish sales rep in Santa Fe. read more

Out of all the mattress stores in Santa Fe, this is by far the best!! We bought a bed for our master, guest, and children's room. The sales team is so helpful and they know exactly how to suit our needs. I highly recommended buying your mattress here. Their mattress are so comfortable and long lasting. Denver Mattress will forever be my preferred mattress store. I was happy with the prices as well. I was able to get a package deal that included two pillows, bed protector, and pillow protectors. I'm so happy with my purchases. read more

So initially I went to mattress firm at devargas mall, what a terrible experience! We left after the lady was condensing and rude in mentioning that we wouldn't find what were looking for elsewhere. We came to Denver mattress off Cerrillos. The salesman Matt was knowledgeable, courteous, outgoing and super helpful! Night and day experiences! We bought a king size Drs choice euro top mattress and a whole bed frame for an amazing deal. Zero pressure from Matt, he was there to help us and we felt that way! We just moved into a new home and were needing to upgrade our mattress and had done a lot of research online, but wanted to be able to actually experience different mattresses as well as purchase locally, we are so grateful we spoke with Matt at Denver Mattress. These days it seems rare to find salesperson who is willing to be truly present with a customer in a way that is caring, informative and humorous. Matt listened closely and quickly offered us several choices all of which met our needs. We ended up picking a model that has given us better sleep than we have had in years. We couldn't be happier thanks to Matt's help. It happened to be a sale and included in the purchase were two latex pillows. Thanks for you help and expertise, I have already referred two people! read more

We bought a bed for my mom without her being there (she has mobility problems) and when she has slept on it for a few nights, she told me she didn't like it because it was too hard. I don't like complaining, but I went back to the store and told them what was going on and they were more than willing to help us out. They showed us some softer models and were very nice the whole time. My mom got the Doctors Choice plush model and she loves it. Denver Mattress definitely makes a good bed and goes above and beyond in great customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Went into DM today and found a great mattress - I asked the salesman how long would take to get a Cal King in this bed and he told me I didn't want a Cal King, did I know the measurements, nobody likes Cal King it's too long and not wide enough, and I'd be happier with a regular king, come look over here at the kings... as we were walking over to the king beds he droned on trying to convince me I didn't want a Cal King. Rather than follow him to look at the kings, I simply walked out the door. You DOLT, ask a simple question - such as 'are you replacing a Cal King?' or 'what size is your frame.' Yes, my $3000 custom made Restoration Hardware bed is a Cal King because I'm tall... taller than you... bet you didn't need my commission anyway, shorty. We asked Matt to show us the Green Choice line after reading about good customer service and delivery on Yelp. We settled on the Green Choice Carefree and were jazzed at the reasonable price to go green ! We told Matt about the storage problems in our tiny condo and he suggested the Space Base frame instead of traditional box springs. My wife is delighted! More room without having to buy a bigger condo that would cost more in taxes and heating and cooling! So we both are happy. It had to be ordered, and we told him that was fine but that we were in a time crunch because we were going to Africa for a while. On delivery day the driver was unavailable and the truck was in the shop, but Matt went HIMSELF and got the truck out and delivered our Green Choice Carefee and Frame. Also took away our old Salvation Army used mattress that had served us well for the past 6 years. Great job, Matt ! Great product, Green Choice, Space Frame, and Denver Mattress!. Five stars. read more

Customer Service is not synonymous with the Santa Fe store. They had the nerve treating my wife as the enemy. They belittled her and she didn't take it. She was so livid about the way she was treated. They told her that 'maybe you should've have bought it earlier'. We bought it on sale and she was told "well it's been on sale all summer". You NEVER say those things to a customer. When I went to pick up the mattress there was a customer in the store and he had asked the price of a mattress and the customer was shocked and said "forget it", "I have gotten a better price elsewhere". The sales person said "well you must have gotten a better deal". Instead of saying, "maybe we could match it", "Do you have their ad or a price quote". The sales person just ignored the customer and walked away. The sales person approached me and I gave him my receipt. He said, "Oh I tried calling you yesterday but your line was busy". I told him my phone was working fine. I told him my wife had talked to your staff yesterday and all they did was argue with my wife as I described earlier. Once the same sales person loaded the mattress in my truck the same sales person said "you're set". No, 'thanks for your business or sorry for the inconvenience'. In fact, he just walked away and back into the warehouse to just avoid any more conversation with me. DON'T USE THE DENVER MATTRESS IN SANTA FE ON CERRILLOS ROAD. Unless you like abuse. read more

Denver Mattress in Santa Fe was a great decision for me and my wife. We both suffer from back pain (I have even had 1 back surgery) and have trouble getting good sleep. We had shopped around a few places in town and decided that the product was high quality and the service was fantastic. We ended up getting the Doctor's Choice elite model. We most liked how knowledgeable the salesperson was. I could tell he knew a lot about the product. My only hangup was they had to order the bed and that took a week. But it was worth the wait. Everyone at the store and the delivery crew as well was very professional and both my wife and I are sleeping much better than on our old bed. read more

My fiancé and I went in prepared to purchase a mattress. When we entered, the sales associate informed us that that his lunch was coming in five minutes so he had that long to help us. The associate's complete lack of customer service skills ended up losing this store a guaranteed sale. read more

Came in with the intention of buying a new foam mattress and boxspring. The way the salesman was acting was very inattentive and appeared to be selling us what they couldn't sell. We went to see some foam mattresses and he tried to sway us away from what we came in looking for. He became disinterested in selling us anything after we made it clear that we weren't looking for what he was trying to sell us. So we left, and simply will not return. read more

Matt and Eddie at Denver Mattress in Santa Fe get great marks for customer service. Both were clear, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the mattress and covers we selected after much thought just would not work for my wife. She is chemically sensitive and even their certified pure materials ultimately were more than she could handle and we had to return it. We were all disappointed, but Matt and Eddie responded well and within 20 minutes the paperwork had all been accomplished in a good way and mattress is scheduled to be picked up tomorrow. We must now find an organic alternative... But we do recommend Denver Mattress as a company and the Santa Fe store specifically. They have good products that are cost competitive and they are committed to customer service. A good combination. read more

My wife and I bought a Sealy Posturepedic Queen Optimum Destiny mattress, a boxspring, and a bedframe for about $1,000. Our shopping experience with the salesperson, Matt, was very positive. We had done our research and identified several mattresses to try out, including the Optimum series. We had just arrived in Santa Fe and were moving into our new home in a few days. We tried out a number of beds, including the 3 Optimums (they have different levels of memory foam). We liked the middle Optimum the best (not to soft, not too hard). It turned out that Matt needed to make room on the floor and could sell us the floor model at a discount and deliver it a few days later, a Sunday. On Sunday, at the appointed time, Matt and the truck driver delivered and set up the bed. We plan to return to find a guest bedroom bed and would recommend Denver Mattress to a friend. read more

I wanted to wait awhile before I wrote this review. I purchased a tempurpedic mattress a few months ago and I have never been happier. What I truly appreciated about my experience at Denver mattress was the willingness of the sales person to go above and beyond to ensure I was selecting the right product. I felt that my business was both appreciated and that the experience was personal. It was such a change from going into the other mattress stores where I felt like I was just another sale. What blew me away, was I received a call a few weeks later from Denver Mattress to ask how I was doing and how the product was working for me. I have since returned to Denver Mattress and purchased a new set of pillows (I highly recommend trying them out!). I could never be happier with both my experience and my purchase and I recommend a visit to Denver Mattress if you are in the market for a new mattress. read more
