Two years ago we bought a couch for our living room from here. About a year and a half of owning it the springs came loose and started to puncture through the cushions. We took it out to Johnny's and they assured us they could order new cushions since they were under warranty and they would not charge us. The gentlemen working there also told us they would also be able to put them in for us. He told us it would take up to two-three weeks to get them in (which I thought seemed a bit long). So we called in two and a half weeks later to see if the cushions were there and they weren't because they "forgot to order them". They got shipped over night to the store and my wife and I went in the next day. The owner was not there and I told them we were here to have our cushions replaced. A lady brought them out and said there was no one there to do it at that time, even though they were to have someone there that day to replace them for us. So we left them there..over the weekend, with no couch to sit on. We actually know the lady who does their repairs, so we called her. She wasn't even aware of the situation and had no clue that she was to repair cushions for us. Johnny's did not inform her of this. But she went in to pick it up to fix them since Johnny's was clueless. Thank god we knew her directly. Who knows how long it would have taken otherwise. We called Johnny's to inform them of this situation and that we were very displeased. We ended up talking to the owner's wife and she informed us that we would have to pay a $30 fee to have the cushions put in even though our couch was under warranty and we were told directly that we would not be charged. We told her we would not pay so she put us on hold to ask Johnny. She said the owner, Johnny, refused to pay the $30 to have the cushions put in. We had already spent the weekend without a couch and we don't have anything else to sit on so we decided to take matters into our own hands and pay the lady who does repairs for Johnny directly, without going through the company. More than half of the things this store told us they would do didn't happen or the people working had no clue what we were talking about after multiple trips in the store. So we had to pay for Johnny's mistake and stupidity. Stay away from Johnny's. Unprofessional and overall terrible service. I will make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from this place. Go somewhere where the owner actually cares about his customers and the quality of his product.

There was a new guy wworking. We picked out a mattress, we got approved for their lone. We had it delievered the it delivered the next week. When it was delivered it didn't come with the contract so we had no idea what we was paying. I called the guy later on telling him we got no contract, he told me he would have it to me the next couple days. A couple days later I checked the mail, we got a paper saying we DIDN'T get approved, for the bed lone. I tried to call the store. I have left messages and I got no response back. On November 19 I had a voice call from johnny mattress super store from Bob saying if I didn't contact him buy the next day, he was gonna call the cops. I was very upset with this message. I gave him a call back. He wasn't sure on what was going on. So I told him the whole story. He went on to say that the canton johnny mattress store is no longer in businesses, and that he has been trying to send me paper work, but it just gets returned back to him. Which he had my address right. I didn't understand that part. On November 27 I had another voice mail from Bob at johnny mattress super store. Saying that he sent that paper work over two weeks ago and hasn't received it. That it was getting ridiculous and if I didn't give him a call back he was going to contact the cops. After I listened to that messages. I was so upset, on how I was getting treated. It was only a little over a week, when he last contact me. I received the papers with no problem Monday. So I called Bob back. Yes I did have a attitude with him, because I feel like he's trying to put the blame on me. When they know they are in the wrong. I told him how its has not been over a two weeks. How my boyfriend is on a rig, and I didn't think it was my place to fill out the paper work when its in his name. I also told him to quit threatening me with the cops. when really its not my fault. Then I got into asking him. How I didn't understand when he tried to send out the paper work a couple times how I didn't receive it, but I had no problem receiving it this time... I'm sorry but this whole situation upsets me. I have a feeling they know they are in the wrong, but trying to make it look like its my boyfriend and I fault. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They have such poor customer service.

But the saleswoman pushed this policy to us and we buckled. I will NEVER buy another piece of furniture from this company as long as I live.

Over the years, I have spent a lot of money at the Ashley Home Store in Mansfield/Ontario - dining…read moreroom chairs, a sectional, a TV stand, side tables and more. This past Saturday (Nov 1) I bought a pair of lamps. When I got home, the lampshades were of noticeable differences in color. This was made more obvious by the addition of the light bulb, of course. The lamps were also too large for the tables I have, so I wanted to just return them. I was unaware that they were non-returnable (per my receipt which was still in the envelope). I understand having a policy like that to avoid people "sampling" items to see if they match or not. However, I experienced what is perhaps the worst mistreatment I have ever encountered at a store. The man who said he was the manager, Sam, was abusive, rude, dismissive and condescending. At first, he was going to charge a restocking fee of 20%, but when I returned from my car with the second lamp, he decided he was sticking to the policy of not returning them since it was clearly stated on my receipt. When I explained the situation about the difference in colors, his comment was "the lamps are the same color as they were yesterday when you bought them". At this point, I just felt dismissed and my voice was not being heard. I put the lampshades on the table and asked him to take a look. (At this point, he hadn't even looked at them). By now I was angry, not because I couldn't return the lamps, but because I was being treated so poorly. He said I slammed them so hard that I needed to "get out of his store". I asked if I could at least get the matching shade and he said no, that I needed to leave his store. I am still upset today because of how I was treated. I've been a good customer at that store, but after this awful treatment, I won't ever be going back.
