For 45 minutes I listened to the therapist and receptions discuss their kids schools, kindergarten teacher turnover, 1st grade teacher turnover, second grade teacher turnover while I was sitting there in full sight waiting. After 45 minutes of this I went to the front desk to reschedule as I had another commitment. The therapist then got up and promised a quick evaluation so I could not be too late for work. It was a very quick evaluation, very unprofessional and out the door I went.

I'm laying on a table 3 feet apart from a table on either side, each with an unmasked client huffing, puffing. I'm in the middle freaking out. Then I looked around and though all therapists were masked, almost no clients we. And this is supposed to be a healthcare facility. Some of the are elderly and a few are in really bad shape. This is not a healthy env for healing. I won't be back.

I was extremely reluctant until nerve pain was explained to me and a plan to help was begun upon my initial visit/evaluation. After 6 weeks, I look back at my twice per week sessions of stretching, using muscles which had been tight with pain, and purposeful movement of lower extremities, I discovered the pain had lessened. I was reminded to concentrate on my core or torso to straighten/strengthen my spine while holding in my breath. Immediate relief! My posture is improving and I am able to rise to a standing position without pushing up with my hands. My time with Ryan and the staff is about at an end. Each team member and office personnel encouraged me and pitched in when necessary. I felt that my well-being was of concern, and I will certainly return if I should decline. I have pages of stretches and suggestions to keep me on track. I was wrong to be reluctant and I surely am glad!

I want everyone to know the truth about this place. The truth behind the smiles. It happened over a…read moreyear ago, but every day I get angrier and angrier because of the misery that my beautiful husband had to experience there. It all started at Select Rehab Hospital. This place is incompetent and lousy. Their respiratory therapists and wound care nurses show up 2-3 times a week and miss half the problems. Select Rehab chooses not to employ them full time so they fail to catch new diseases. I just never thought it would happen to my family. They left my husband's neck and tracheostomy's tie unchecked for 10 days after his was moved to their facility. And when they finally bothered, they found red disgusting erosion that quickly made a hole in his neck. My poor husband got infected so badly that they had to use a pic line and heavy antibiotics to catch up. His collarbone and face were swollen, he was getting pneumonias, his state was sickening. He got so much sicker at the Select Rehab than he was at the actual hospital after surgery. He was transferred to them without a hole in his neck, without fevers, without pneumonias, without severe swelling or bleeding. I was calling his brothers with updates telling them how disgusted I was with Dr. Anastase and his cocky attitude. The wound according to his notes was supposed to heal fast and easy, but shocker, it never did. He didn't take my husband's wound seriously when he first saw it and by the time he realized the mess he was in, it was too late. The infection destroyed my husband's carotid artery and instead of going home from the Rehab, he was sent back to the ER in Denton, straight for another surgery. And that was another disaster, more bleeding. In his notes he colorfully describes how bad I sounded on the phone, but he conveniently skips the part why I was so upset. I got enraged because they missed the wound on my husband's neck which caused a mudslide of problems for us. That's why I wanted a different doctor, not Dr. A, and everyone we know told me I was right. He is unethical and disrespectful. When I read Dr. A's notes and let his brothers read them, everyone was livid. Badmouthing my husband saying "...the patient was intense, extremely involved and at times overbearing with care, tried to dictate care...?" What did he think my husband was going to do? Sit back and watch, wait for them to destroy him even more? What kind of doctor badmouths his patient and their spouse? Dr. A accused me of not liking his choice of physicians and wanting to take my husband to our doctors. It's not a crime and it's our right. He stated "Based on my prior knowledge of her behavior... the wife is quiet a barrier to any care and made it difficult to provide care..."? Is he out of his mind to say something like that about his patient's loved one? To accuse me of almost wishing harm to my husband? Those notes didn't just crush me and his brothers, they crushed my husband when I read to him what Dr. A said about us. Select Rehab dropped the ball and we paid for it dearly. I keep thinking if we had chosen a different Rehab hospital, like Medical City Dallas or UTSW, the doctors would've done their jobs properly caring daily for his neck, no hole, no infections. I hear every day that Select Rehab should be punished and held responsible for the neglect. People should think twice before they decide to go there. We made a grave mistake, bad decision by choosing the wrong Rehab and it changed our lives forever.

My doc sent referral but then they said they need one from my primary doctor. They text me an appt reminder and when I try to reply with the text says auto no reply. They send me an email to fill out my paperwork before my appt. When I try to reply to email, it say auto email only unable to reply. 3 days later I finally get in touch with scheduler, tell her about how I could not reply to email or text, she tells me not her problem she did not design the process. Great attitude. After several days of no contact, I found another place. Don't waste your time, if they are this uncaring and unprofessional about just scheduling, their treatment is probably just as bad or worse. Good reddens, to bad I wasted all this time for nothing.

I've had to bring two small children with me to my appointments for therapy--less than ideal! She is high energy, attentive, knowledgeable, tiny but loud. She will work you in ways you never thought you could. She will be right there the whole time motivating you to excel unlike other places that just say do this and walk away. While taking your mind off the discomfort of working the target areas you need to improve on, she will talk your ear off but in fun and friendly way. If its a late afternoon visit be prepared to answer "Whats for Dinner?".

I had such bad pain that I didn't think PT would help but to my surprise it did help to the point I'm fully recovered now. It was easy to book an initial appointment, they are popular so can be difficult to find the perfect time unless you are willing to wait. I had a primary PT that I saw most of the time but also saw some others. It started out very easy and simple with stretches and other things and gradually had most of the type of exercises I do. They asked about what/if any strength training I do and they were able to incorporate most of the type of exercises that I do that could have lead to my initial problem. I was very happy with how much progress I made while I was going here and if I have some other physical problem where PT might help, I will come back here again.

I was going to traditional physical therapy after my ankle surgery per my doctor's orders but felt…read moreI needed something more aggressive. Since I was a recent patient before with Airrosti I decided to give it a try. I was about 3 months post op when I first went to Dr. Yazmin Ruvalcaba. I had some relief, but I bruised and was really sore afterwards which is very expected since I was still recovering from my surgery. Dr. Ruvalcaba listened to all my concerns and focused on the areas I needed help with recovering. Alliston helped with my stretching and gave me exercises that helped with my strength and flexibility. Overall I went to 4-5 treatments. My ultimate goal was to get back to running and I'm happy to say I've completed two 5ks and a 5 miler since I "graduated" from treatment. I'm so excited and I don't think my progress would be where it is if it wasn't for Dr. Ruvalcaba and the Airrosti team! I hope she sees this to let her know she played a huge role in my recovery!
