After filling out the paperwork, I was asked to take a seat in the lobby. For 45 minutes I listened to the therapist and receptions discuss their kids schools, kindergarten teacher turnover, 1st grade teacher turnover, second grade teacher turnover while I was sitting there in full sight waiting. After 45 minutes of this I went to the front desk to reschedule as I had another commitment. The therapist then got up and promised a quick evaluation so I could not be too late for work. It was a very quick evaluation, very unprofessional and out the door I went.

I was extremely reluctant until nerve pain was explained to me and a plan to help was begun upon my initial visit/evaluation. After 6 weeks, I look back at my twice per week sessions of stretching, using muscles which had been tight with pain, and purposeful movement of lower extremities, I discovered the pain had lessened. I was reminded to concentrate on my core or torso to straighten/strengthen my spine while holding in my breath. Immediate relief! My posture is improving and I am able to rise to a standing position without pushing up with my hands. My time with Ryan and the staff is about at an end. Each team member and office personnel encouraged me and pitched in when necessary. I felt that my well-being was of concern, and I will certainly return if I should decline. I have pages of stretches and suggestions to keep me on track. I was wrong to be reluctant and I surely am glad!

I have been a patient at Select Rehabilitation hospital, multiple times over the past 5 1/2 years…read moredue to surgeries from an injury I sustained working in Afghanistan as a contractor. I have found the staff from the Nurses, Techs, food staff, admin staff, and PT staff to be completely TOP NOTCH. I have had 9 knee replacements, due to a severe Nickel Allergy that almost killed me, 2 major Staph infections that almost killed me and Double knee removal where I only had spacers on 2 occasions for 30 to 65 days. As well I had my rt knee removed for 94 days due to the listed Staph infections. As, I type this I know that if my right knee fails I will lose my leg. I will have to have it amputated above the knee due to bone stock lose. Hopefully years down the road, but with my Luck, who knows. LOL I tell you this because there is NO OTHER Place that will touch my leg during my recovery and needed PT recovery than SELECT REHAB. The IN Patient and OUT Patient PT Staff are Absolutely the Best. They push you hard to get to the needed Goals that it takes for one to heal from surgery. They discovered the signs and symptoms of my RSD and Psoriatic Arthritis even before my doctors did. I am metal from hip to ankle in my right leg and hip to mid shin in my left leg. My doctors did not believe that I would again, much less as well as I do now. The ONLY reason this is, is because of Select Rehab and their PT STAFF. I owe them everything and they have become Family. I have watched people whom have suffered Devastating Strokes come to Select Rehab. Upon arrival they and their families are scared and uncertain of the future. I have personally witness more time than not, that the same STROKE patient walk around the facility during their PT and speaking with staff. The PT staff knowledge of Neurological Issues and impairments is fantastic. TO personally witness a patient who had no Hope, walk and talk and live a life, that they nor their families ever believed possible is incredible. Bottom line is Select Rehab is wonderful. If you or a family member need great Physical Therapy, its the place to go. I have read some negative comments that have been left. So I will address them respectfully. I have had cold water and no pressure in my shower before. I told my nurses and techs and it was fixed within a timely manner. Its a Hospital and things happen. They offer everyday to help shower and dress each patient. If the water in an individual room is not satisfactory, they have a SHOWER ROOM where a patient can go. The other was with bowel movements. I hope the reviewer mother is doing well. Now, that review was posted in 2011. I was a Patient multiple times throughout 2011, and I was asked everyday, multiple times a day, by techs and nurses at shift change, if I had, had a bowel movement. So not understanding why that patient would have NOT been asked. Bottom line is if YOU have an issue, PLEASE address it with the staff, I did and was always taken care accordingly. I know this review is long, but after what Select Rehab has done for me, I felt it necessary. I wish I could name all of the staff by Name that have helped me, but I do not want to leave anyone out. Bottom line is they are ALL FANTASTIC!!!

My doc sent referral but then they said they need one from my primary doctor. They text me an appt reminder and when I try to reply with the text says auto no reply. They send me an email to fill out my paperwork before my appt. When I try to reply to email, it say auto email only unable to reply. 3 days later I finally get in touch with scheduler, tell her about how I could not reply to email or text, she tells me not her problem she did not design the process. Great attitude. After several days of no contact, I found another place. Don't waste your time, if they are this uncaring and unprofessional about just scheduling, their treatment is probably just as bad or worse. Good reddens, to bad I wasted all this time for nothing.

The therapy was completely ineffective! They did no manual manipulation at all. Someone referred me to Kathy, at D&D Sports Med in Denton. She is fantastic!! I could tell after my first session, that she was doing what I needed! Kathy is vey knowledgeable in her job and knows exactly what to do! She is very kind, and concerned about her patients! My shoulder is almost 100 percent better! The entire staff is excellent! I highly recommend D&D, if you need any kind of physical therapy!

My therapist has been Christina, who I've found to be professional, informative, and friendly to work with. I've had to bring two small children with me to my appointments for therapy--less than ideal! However, all clinicians at Monticello have been so wonderful and helpful with my tiny entourage each time I've had to bring them along. A huge thank you to the staff--I highly recommend this office to anyone needing physical therapy!

She is high energy, attentive, knowledgeable, tiny but loud. She will work you in ways you never thought you could. She will be right there the whole time motivating you to excel unlike other places that just say do this and walk away. While taking your mind off the discomfort of working the target areas you need to improve on, she will talk your ear off but in fun and friendly way. If its a late afternoon visit be prepared to answer "Whats for Dinner?".

I had such bad pain that I didn't think PT would help but to my surprise it did help to the point I'm fully recovered now. It was easy to book an initial appointment, they are popular so can be difficult to find the perfect time unless you are willing to wait. I had a primary PT that I saw most of the time but also saw some others. It started out very easy and simple with stretches and other things and gradually had most of the type of exercises I do. They asked about what/if any strength training I do and they were able to incorporate most of the type of exercises that I do that could have lead to my initial problem. I was very happy with how much progress I made while I was going here and if I have some other physical problem where PT might help, I will come back here again.
