I appreciated how clear the dentist was about what was urgent vs. what was aesthetic or could happen later. I found the front desk to be super helpful and comprehensive in giving me information on the costs and what my new insurance would cover before I scheduled. Dental insurance is always confusing, so having them confirm and explain in advance was really nice. The office is nice, clean, and you can watch Netflix during longer appointments (a nice distraction). There is some construction in the reception area right now, but it didn't impact my visit. In both visits, Dr. Kim was excellent. She is very empathetic and took time to explain to me what was going to happen / how long things would take / etc.

Showing up to Grand Street Dental, the decor set the vibe: it was a very relaxing atmosphere with very relaxing music, laid out in a very nice way. After finding out I had a cavity that needed drilling, I became immediately nervous - as is tradition. I began shaking. Somehow, Dr. Plotnick convinced me to give it all a try anyway. And lo and behold: I didn't feel a thing. Not one. Not even the shots (which don't bother me anyway). Absolutely brilliant. 10/10. 5 stars. Perfection. It turned a lifetime of fear into an easy and quick experience I'll never forget. Shoutout to her and all the staff at Grand Street Dental! Miracle workers!

Upon walking into this place - the waiting area in NOT esthetically pleasing to the eye. Waiting area - seats look dingy and dirty. Front desk had an issue with finding my insurance information for some reason. Not friendly at all. The woman who took me to the back for x-rays seemed to have a language barrier and barely said hello. After x-rays were done - walked to me waaaaay to the back where i'm sure i would be forgotten about and not a word was said in the process. I sat back here for what seemed like FOREVER - but once Darren the hygienist came things started looking up - what a positive individual and he made my experience much better than how it began. What a pleasure to have met him. Wish all hygienists had the energy he had. I was told i was going to get fluoride put on my teeth - not done. Dentist wasn't thorough with his exam - nice guy but I wasn't satisfied with the service provided. Overall - i came here expecting something totally different- the place itself needs an upgrade it's pretty much falling apart and not in good shape. I highly doubt that I would return.

My…read morecomplaint is because the dentist recommended a deep clean so I asked them to submit a request to my insurance. Before I left I asked a couple questions and the person at the desk looked up my record and told me I had NOT put in a pervious request for this service. They said they would call me once they got an answer. No one did. I called two separate times and on the 2nd call they informed me the service was declined. The male I spoke to was very short and snippy and really made me feel like he did not take this seriously, so I asked to speak to someone else. The 2nd person was even ruder. First off, there was ZERO patience or kindness from either of your staff. They said there is NO WAY I can communicate with my dentist- not via phone, or email or even through a medical portal. I would have to pay for a $150 visit to come in and ask questions. They said the doctor was "too busy" to communicate any other way. Second, your staff is directly sabotaging my access to health care because they are unwilling to help me properly submit a 2nd request for service. You guys took my money then left me high and dry when I actually really needed you. I will be losing my healthcare in 60 days and I don't have time to play games with snippy staff who simply refused to answer questions or take my case seriously. If your front desk staff can't be polite and compassionate, they should find a job where they don't have to deal with the public. They are acting like gate keepers to patient's health care and in a world where it is already hard enough to get medical care this is your biggest failure. I'll find another dentist. Do better.
