Anna Smith ONLY cares about getting your money. I saw her finance people 2x more than her. After the dental hygienist did her thing, Smith would stroll in, talk about my horrible life threatening infections I had, she would bring in the finance lady who asked for $10k!! Spoiler alert- I had 2 cavities that my new dentist filled in 1 visit. When I asked about the "deadly infections" he LAUGHED! Dr. Anna Smith has been the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. My daughter was supposed to get her braces off on August 2 and then we would be going back the next day to pick up her retainer. I signed the release and filled out all the paperwork other than a survey. I was told that she would not take off her braces unless it was filled out. I told them that they didn't want me to fill it out because I would have to be honest and they would not like what I had to say. Was told I had to. I wrote that Dr. Smith was very rude and unprofessional. Mind you, the problem stems from the issues that My son now has as a result of going there. His jaw is messed up and had to put him back in braces with another orthodontist on 1/25/21. My daughter was already more than halfway through the process and had her braces paid for when we found out what caused his problem. So we felt stuck to keep my daughter there and finish the process. I, of course, wanted to talk to Dr. Smith about our concerns back in January when we found out what cause my son's issues and how to prevent an issue with my daughter. Dr. Smith was very rude and quite manipulative. She wants to twist anything that I said. She didn't want to address concerns. August 2 we had an appointment to get her braces off. She refused to take off my daughter's braces after I was told they were ready to come off. All because she didn't like how I filled out the survey. She tried to say it was because she wanted to take my complaint "seriously" even though it has nothing to do with my daughter and my complaint was all about my son. In January when I tried to speak with her she didn't want to address it. After I posted a negative review on her Facebook and with the BBB she did take my daughter's braces off on August 24, 2021. Today October 7, 2021, I took my daughter to a consult with another orthodontist. He was shocked when he found out that she just got her braces off a month ago. He will now be putting my daughter back in braces for a year. He said that he has had multiple horror stories come to him from Anna Smith's office. So not only have we now had to put my son in braces again after going to Anne Smith but now we have to put my daughter in braces again. There were so many red flags. I felt multiple times that she was pushing unnecessary treatments and not being ethical. Cavities needing filling that I don't think actually existed, etc. I am angry with myself for not listening to my gut when I first suspected problems. People should be aware that her license was put on probation for 5 years back in August of 2020 and her unethical practice. read more

If you have severe dentist anxiety (like I used to) this place is the solution. I have broken dental chair arms because of poor anesthetic and awful dentists and have lots of teeth issues from dentist avoidance as a result. I wish I had always had Doctor Megan and her excellent, competent staff from day one as I would have never dreaded the dentist and would have saved myself a lot of money and torment. Brought my son here for an emergency. We had been putting off getting anything done due to Covid and honestly just my neglect. He had complained of tooth pain the day before so I set an appointment to go to dentistry with TCL the day off. They were very nice on the phone and set an appointment same day. He is 9 and had to go to the back for exam and X-rays by himself. I'm assuming because of Covid but a woman went back with her husband right after him. After exam and X-rays the dental assistant(I'm assuming) said I could come back. My son is sitting in the chair crying his eyes out because of his tooth pain. This assistant is casually talking to me about how he needs a root canal and there's nothing they can do about it. Then she processeds to tell me he probably has a bad infection and that's why it hurts. The doctor decided against giving him anything for the infection and the assistant told me to just give him Motrin every 4-6 hours for pain. And they would give me some referrals for another dentist. I never even met the doctor. Who turns away a crying child in pain like that. With nothing! And the referrals they gave me said they don't do root canals. They do young children only. I will not go back. I wish I would have read these reviews first. My baby was in pain and all I wanted was him to get help. I thought they did it all. I was wrong. read more

I don't know how Dr. Anna Smith sleeps at night!! Just the reviews I have read alone- should be enough to stop people from frequenting her "practice" but I feel I need to share my-well my elderly mothers- experience as well. Their high pressure and fear mongering tactics left her shaking and in tears after her appointment. She was high pressured for nearly FOUR hours at this practice and was trying to be coerced into spending over $7000 THAT DAY. AT HER FIRST VISIT. I feel that the staff knows that once a patient leaves, they will think better of it and never return. While they repeatedly told my mother, she had infection in her mouth and that was the source of her pain and she needed four root canals and a supposed "deep cleaning treatment" to help reattach her gums to her teeth- they told her it could all be done, THAT DAY -even WITH her being infected!! As a nurse, I am alarmed and ashamed for them!! I have had minor dental procedures and have been pre-treated with antibiotics even before those with NO infection but this practice was willing to put my mother's health at risk so they could trap her into ridiculously overpriced procedures done the same day! My mother did have one tooth pulled while she was there and it was extremely painful for her, and when she questioned about why it was still hurting during the procedure (that she was supposed to be numb for) she was told it was because of all of the infection in her mouth!! Back to the reviews I mentioned- any of the "positive" things I read were on their personal Facebook and were extremely vague- I suspect they are paid or fake- It's obvious this establishment is failing and is spending its last dollars on a final ditch effort in advertising on local tv shows and online. You will get far more detail from the negative reviews which all align with the experience my 70-year-old mother had- TRAP, SCARE, and CHARGE the patient the SAME DAY! I also read of previous staff from this office leaving because they could no longer handle the way the practice was run. Dr. Smith was RUDE and condescending to my mother. When she explained that she couldn't afford all of the treatments being pushed on her, she was told that her teeth would fall out if left in their current state and that dentures would cost her more than what they were trying to sell her! Who does that?! "Fix your teeth today for $7000 or they will all fall out and you'll need dentures!!" You can tell a lot about a person by, how they treat the elderly! SHAME ON YOU! This place is horrible. They take people's money. Have no consideration for privacy. How can they start a procedure, halfway through, call their finance team in to discuss more money because more money needs to be spent? That's very unprofessional and illegal. We usually have no problems at TLC, the staff are generally friendly, professional, and courteous. At our visit today, a new face in the office, a tall bearded individual, walked through the office more than a half dozen times without a mask on, talking to staff. I asked the receptionist why he wasn't, she said she would inquire. After I asked, he put his mask on, but not before giving me the evil eye. I'm sorry but not wearing. Irregular services provided when getting cleanings or cavities done, and outrageous prices! The billing department does not give you accurate quotes. In the past 2 years I've had 2 times where they told me my insurance would cover most of the procedures. The first time, they had miss calculated how much benefits I had left. The second, they had marked one of my periodontal follow up as a cleaning and I had to pay for a 3rd cleaning in the billing period. Overall, we ended up having to pay about $500 more than what they had quoted us. They are thoroughly unwilling to work with their customers... when I explained the first error, they "gave" me a partial credit that would expire in a year with the contingency that I get more work done... Meaning, they just wanted more of my money. On top of that, during the Periodontal scaling, they chipped a filling on one of my tooth and they denied any responsibility. To conclude, they are very shady when it comes to billing... they never tell you what will be charged to the insurance or what the different steps of the procedures will imply... I suggest everybody I know to stay away from them. read more

After waiting hours for my child's braces to be placed, she finally emerges from the back only to have some of the brackets to fall off before we even leave the office and I am told that they do not have time to reattech the brackets and I will just have to come back - 3 weeks is as soon as they will be able to see us. Within 48 hours the rest of the brackets fall off while we were watching tv. When I call I am told that they can see us within 2 weeks. I chose to end our relationship and took my child to a second dentist who stated that the work was done incorrectly and that I should seek a refund. Dentistry with TLC refused to speak with me and the dentist Dr. Smith was always too busy. They repeatedly promised to have her contact me but she never did. Within two weeks I began receiving itemized bills totaling well over $3000 for work that was never completed icluding two sets of retainers we nerver recieved. I love this dentist! All the people here are so friendly and welcoming. Everytime I come in the front door I am welcomed with a smile and that continues with each person I meet. Dr. Smith is just the way she appears on TV. She's kind and takes the time to talk to me. Last year my son wanted to get his teeth whitened and she told him that she thought it would be a waste of money because she didn't think his teeth would get much whiter.
