I come to this dental clinic because I followed my long-time dentist, Dr. Bucciarelli, here. He…read moreused to to work on Belmont, then Yonge and Rosedale, now here. It is a modern and nicely decorated clinic. This clinic has 2-3 dentists. My dentist only works here every Tue since he works on Steeles Ave W the rest of the days. They have a knowledgeable receptionist. My dentist charges reasonable prices (some clinics charge extra). He doesn't do unnecessary dental work. He uses a dental assistant during his dental work. Before the pandemic, the waiting room had enough seating for 4 people. They also gave out free lip balm and green apples. Since the pandemic, there are only 2 chairs, the waiting room is almost barren, and there are no free handouts. The receptionist desk has plexiglass all around it, and there is hand sanitizer on the counter. During pandemic times, you are asked a few questions a few days before the appointment, then you have to answer the same questions when you arrive for the appointment and sign a waiver. You must wear a face mask the entire time until you sit in the dental chair. During pandemic times, there is a heavy duty HEPA filter air cleaner in the waiting room, and in each dental room. After each patient, all their masks and gowns are thrown out and the room closed with newly installed plexiglass doors. The room is emptied for a few mins while the HEPA filter air cleaner cleans the entire room of any lingering droplets. The rules are that if you don't have such an air cleaner, you cannot use the room for 3 hours. So it is cheaper to but an industrial quality air cleaner. The dentist wears a N95 mask and a face shield. Unfortunately it means his voice volume is at 50% of his normal volume. There is free WiFi. Each patient room also has a 32" Sony TV installed above you so you can watch it during dental work. The handle dental insurance claims. You still have to pay first but the submit the claim for you (some people may delay submitting the claim).

For minor cavities, she always suggested to monitor instead of doing filling right away (not like a lot other dentists who are money driven). Her reason was every time you did filling you would lose an extra part of your own tooth. She tried hard to help you extend the lifespan of your teeth as much as possible. The front desk lady, Floor, was also nice and warm. The only reason I did not give a five star was because this place put an extra charge of fluoride treatment on your dental cleaning claim form and a lot of insurance companies did not cover it. All the previous dentist's places I've been to just simply included this service in the three units of scaling.

After a…read morethorough examination, and to my surprise, the dentist, Dr. A Valiushka, advised me to not get any dental work since I did not need it. She did, however, took a few X-rays of my teeth to make sure they were healthy. We also took advantage of our visit to get X-rays taken of my daughter's teeth. I was advised to get a night retainer and they proceeded to scan my teeth to get me a new and proper retainer. The other great ladies in the office where as delicate as Dr. A Valiushka, being very aware that most people don't like having any work done in their mouth. I must say, these are the most delicate dental workers I have ever gone to. They will be our "Forever Dentist" from now on. And we don't even live in Canada! Have I mentioned we also had fun?

Healthcare is great for fixing people up EXCEPT for dental emergencies! I had braces previously, and had a great smile! Obviously, I was EXTREMELY worried about my teeth! After my visit to the emergency department, it was nearing 5 pm. After calling every dentist office around nobody was available to help me, until, thankfully, I happened upon D on D dental! Doctor Eva was still at the clinic working on her last patient of the day! They typically would have closed at 5 pm but she agreed to see me! I went straight to the clinic from emerge, fresh bootie cast, still in my bloodied hospital gown, I wasted to time to tend to my dental emergency! I was greeted by the receptionist, Vidhi, who was probably horrified at my current state, smiled and welcomed me, immediately provided me with their wheel chair to help me to the dental chair. Waiting for me was Mani, the dental assistant. He was extremely sweet, gentle and took the utmost care while taking my xrays, as I had a fractured maxilla! Once Doctor Eva was ready to assess the work I needed, I was very well informed of the current state of my condition, the risks that may have incurred during my injuries, and my options for treatment at that time. On a Friday evening, these three generous, caring souls stayed until about 9:30 pm carefully and methodically working on repositioning my 4 front teeth and securing them with a brace. Dr.Eva was so amazing she even had to suture a part of my gums that was lifting. Dr.Eva and Dental Assistant Mani were SUCH a fantastic team! I am so extremely grateful to these guys! I literally cried while thanking them for sacrificing their time and effort to help me. And at the end, I was expecting a HEFTY invoice, TO MY SHOCK, it came to less than $800 for the exam, xrays and all that work! These guys are my heroes and I will be looking forward to continuing my future dental needs with this clinic as MY dentists! Thank you guys SO much for all your help! I know you actually care for your patients!

This place is just as effective as the transit system with dentists and hygienists shuffling back and forth between operatories. Dr. Khanna is wonderfully competent, friendly and talkative. Her first name is Mita and she told me how she was raised in Burlington and completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at McMaster and we cross-referenced people we know until we hit on some mutual acquaintances - small world. There was some dental work that happened too, but it's not a big part of my memory and so overall the whole affair was a good experience.

However, it seemed odd that they said I had six cavities. They very patiently walked me through all the work that would need to be done, around $1,500 with my insurance. I'd never had a cavity before, it had only been a year since my last appointment, and nothing about my life had changed. I put off scheduling fillings and scheduled an appointment with a different dentist to get a second opinion. This was a year and a half ago and I've since seen two different dentists, neither of which said I had any cavities. When I mentioned this to one of them, she said that while there are two spots she's keeping an eye on, they don't need to be drilled. Because they haven't gone more than halfway through the enamel, they may resolve on their own. Dentistry is a subjective art. People have different thresholds for when they want to have fillings put in. I prefer to not drill holes in my teeth if it's not strictly necessary. You may feel differently. Just know that they set the threshold for drilling very high.
