Here is the rub. on the agreement it says IF a deep cleaning is needed you will be charged $144.00. I have been getting my teeth cleaned here FOR 10 YEARS. I should know by now what is routine or otherwise. My appointment was at 10:10 AM and I received a text at 10:45 in my car saying they forgot to charge $144.00 for a deep cleaning. I paid the charge and told them to cancel my next appointment and i would find another dentist, the basically didn't care and said good bye. These are new owners, Doctor Van Gordon sold the practice. If he was there this type thing wouldn't happen. He cared about and valued his patients.

I had the best experience here…read more The moment I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist who walked me through all of the "pre-procedure" paperwork and documentation. They have a kiosk that you use to enter your basic information which is very convenient. My procedure itself took about 1.5 hours. Dr. Park and her associates did a fantastic job, explaining each step of the process, and making sure I was as comfortable as possible. Dr. Park used 3D imaging technology which was completely new to me and went the extra mile to make everything fit like a glove! Thanks, Yelp, for helping us find an excellent dentist, Dr. Boone. Tammy, the receptionist, is always so pleasant to chat with and schedule appointments. Our dental hygienist (I forgot her name, but will update when I see her again) is very friendly and thorough with the cleaning. Fill out paper work and then you'll be given a quick tour of the facility. They do everything in-house, so no long waits. Lots of rooms. Nice, clean facility. Everyone greets you. Then, it's down to the cleaning. Flossing, gum measurements, high powered water cleaning, x-rays. After the session, I met with Dr. Boone who was friendly and also checked my teeth. I never felt rushed with my appointments. They take their time, and you can definitely tell they love what they do. The staff loves working with Dr. Boone and their job. I went home with a bag full of goodies-- pack of trident gum, water bottle, toothbrush, and various types of flosses. I have never had stronger, smoother, more natural looking fillings--ever. And I have quite a few buckles. True artistry. And everyone was so kind, absolutely instrumental in my overcoming this phobia, that I didn't even bother asking for nitrous. And I was titrating off of an anti-anxiety medication--so that's saying something. Another thing that is very important to me is that the dentist treats his staff with respect and care, which Dr Lorio definitely does. If you want to touch up your makeup they have some brilliant samples in the lav (the lipstick I tried was so good I think I'll be contacting whomever the rep is!). She wanted to stay and play with everything. The office is incredible. First, it's decorated impeccably. I find that most businesses that cater to children are saturated in an over the top cheese factor. Nope, not here. You will not find one plastic scary clown face or creepy animatronic character. The waiting room is filled with great toys for kids to play with, comfortable seating for adults, and Macs! Yup, lots of iMacs to complete the check in process, and also for the little ones to play on. It's impressive. Then, we were promptly called into the appointment. The staff is SO nice. Amazing with children. They escort them back and allow them to pick out a new toothbrush and other dental accessories, and then put it in a popcorn box to take home. So cute. The check-up is actually fun for the kids. Each room is themed, (today we had the barn theme), but again, not cheesy at all. Very well put together. They give choices of movies to watch during the check-up, kid friendly flavors of fluoride, and they explain every part of the process in detail. It's amazing to watch. Before you know it they are all done! They finish with a picture (so cute) that is printed and given as you leave. The kids also take a trip to the toy closet where they can choose 2 new toys to take home. The entire experience is amazing. We live 30 minutes away and we will always make the drive to Wilsonville to see Dr. James.

My youngest…read moreis on the autism spectrum and so anything that is new or invasive is very challenging for him. On top of that, he has general texture issues. Given his challenges related to his autism, a dentist visit is usually him grinning and bearing it with strangers in his mouth. Which it is for most kids, but exacerbated by his disability. The dentist is well aware of his disability. Today we took him in for a routine cleaning and exam and learned that he'll need a few fillings. The dental hygienist was completely insensitive to his needs and generally seemed frustrated she had to deal with our son. He wasn't throwing a fit. He was tearing up because he was uncomfortable and the X-ray mouthpiece hurt and that when she was flossing him, she was being rough. Then, when the dentist delivered the results that he needed fillings, he did so in a way where he made it clear he did not want to maintain us as customers. Instead of saying "we don't feel like we can provide the level of care we believe your son needs, were referring you to the children's hospital...", he said he was not willing to provide the service so here's a referral. Understand, we're the first people to admit when our kids are being turds, because we don't want them to be a burden on anyone else. With that said, our son was a trooper today given how his autism can manifest in similar situations. The dentist and his staff acted in an insensitive manner and quite frankly not you expect from professionals dealing with a child with a disability. TL:DR- The dentist and his staff were rude and insensitive to our disabled child.
