I don't even know where to start. We were so distraught leaving our dentist behind when we moved to the area from Texas, but we got SO lucky we found Dentistry for Children! Our kiddo is on the spectrum and has major anxiety, which is heightened at the dentist. The team at Children's Dentistry is absolutely UNBELIEVABLE at making Stephen feel comfortable. Debbie is a beautiful human being who makes Stephen laugh the entire time. As a parent, this means THE WORLD! If you aren't going to this dental office, you should be. They are amazing people! This place has go waaaaaay downhill. I kept going and giving them a chance to get back to how they "used" to operate. My children have been patients there for almost 15 years and each time we have gone back for a visit it gets worse and worse. Overpriced, unnecessary procedures, extremely rude desk staff, especially the office manager. When I asked a friend for a referral to a different dentist, the reply was "what took you so long to come to your senses about that place" Needless to say we will no longer be going to Dentistry for Children in Weymouth. If your looking for "fluff", fish, toys after your visit and your kids mug shot on a TV screen from their visit, then this IS the place for you. read more

I cannot express how grateful I am to this practice, and in particular Dr Fakuda, for the care that my son has received for a recent "emergent" situation. My 8 yr old sustained a serious injury to his left adult front tooth at approx 8:30 at night. We called the on call service in which Dr Fakuda answered immediately. He met us at the office by 9:15p in which he gave him a thorough exam with X-rays and began initial treatment for repairing the tooth. Given the rapid treatment he may have saved my son's tooth from needing a root canal. We are now just waiting to see how the nerve root responds, but will be monitoring closely. The work he did was amazing, and you can't really even tell that half of his front is not his own. I cannot thank Dr Fakuda enough for his compassion, kindness and wonderful work, not to mention, all in the middle of the night! In addition, my children have received other procedures and cleanings at this office in which we have been more than pleased. The staff are great and really put there kids at ease. Dr Fakuda has also done a palate expander, and tooth extractions , all with great care and gentle approach. You will not be disappointed in choosing this practice for your children. Whether it's for routine care or emergent situations, they are the best. read more

I brought my 3 1/2 year old for a regular check up, and was very pleased by our experience. The front desk woman was very welcoming and nice, chatted with my daughter which I think helped set the tone for her that it would be a fun experience. The front office is beautiful. They put a lot of work making it feel comfortable and kid friendly. The hygienist was a very nice, patient and engaging woman who my daughter loved. They took her photo and put it up on the television in the room while they cleaned her teeth which she was very excited about. She loved choosing her toothpaste, a rung as a prize, and brushing the teeth of a stuffed dinosaur in the room. They took their time, and it is clear they are professionals. My daughter had a moment of hesitation at the switch when the dentist came (previously we had gone to another dentist that was not ideal for her) in but he had a wonderful bedside manner and she was put at ease immediately. The woman who scheduled our next appointment came across slightly flat/annoyed but she could have been having a bad day. We've all been there. That aside I would recommend to anyone who asks, I was very happy with everything overall. read more

Don't take your kids here. This is by far the most crooked dental office I've seen. I know dentists usually try to rack up the bill, but these people are shameless. I brought my two sons here twice for cleanings. They are both little (1 and 2). The last time we went they entered in a weird code which made my insurance not covEr the Clenaing and I was hit with a $350 bill with interest. When I called to contest the bill they told me they had no idea why my insurance wouldn"t cover the Clenaing and that I needed to sort it out with my insurance company, their hands were tied. When I called my insurance company the next day, they said miraculously the dentist office had resubmitted the claim yesturday ( they day I called and they played dumb) to a code which could be cOvered by insurance. How dishonest! Clearly they were trying to get away with overcharging for the service, and instead of admitting their "mistake", they had me go on a wild goose hunt with insurance while they snuck around back and and tried to undo their lie.When I called them out on this, they said that some of the staff is new and doesn't know what they are doing. Never going back to this place again. Oh and they will hit you with a huge fee if you miss an appointment. How desperate and sleezy. read more

My son 6years old had an broken molar tooth which was infected.Jeffrey was great he gave my son an antibiotic and asked us to come after two days for extraction.i was very nervous I didn't want my son to have a traumatic experience .after two days we went and in 30 minutes my son was out .he was absolutely fine no crying ,no fear and just calm.i am so happy.Dr Fukudu extracted my son s infected tooth he was great.....I recommended all parents to take their kids here if u or your child r anxious. read more

Love this place! Both my boys go here. My youngest is 4 and Debbie the hygienist was amazing with him, and she had him sit by himself and was quick and he came out with a smile holding his goodie bag! My stepson is autistic and has sensory issues, and they have also been wonderful working with him! Can't say enough about this place! All of the staff, hygienist's and dentists are amazing! I recommend this place to all of my "mommy friends". read more

My 4 year old is very shy and often has difficulty with new experiences. The office & staff are very inviting for kids and she loved it there. The first visit I stayed in the room, and after I just walked her back and she was OK with me leaving. We saw Dr. Fukuda for fillings and he was great - super friendly, kept us informed. We were advised of filling type and payment options. Fun extras like a play area, toy "chest", sunglasses, flavored pastes. Scheduling appointments was easy. Staff is very responsive. read more

I have been bringing my daughter here for several years (she's 7 now) and we have had only great experiences with all of the providers. We saw Debbie today, who was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The waiting room is clean and extremely kid-friendly, so they can focus on having fun instead of getting nervous waiting to be called. They have a great prize station and also have monthly raffles for patients! read more

This is a great place to bring your kids. I brought my 2.5 year old in for their first visit and couldn't have been more happy. When I checked in the receptionist had all of my information, that I filled out online before I came in. The waiting room is great and filled with toys. We didn't have to wait long before the hygienist came out and introduced herself. My daughter was nervous but the hygienist did a great job explaining everything and my daughter got her teeth cleaned, Dr. Jeff came in and examined her and answered all of my questions and concerns. She loved the prize wall and the receptionist at the end was really great explaining how my insurance works (we are out of network) and we already made out 6 month checkup. This place is fabulous from start to finish and really worth the experience. I highly recommend Dentistry for Children! read more

We have been patients with Dentistry for Children for over 10 years. My kids have all been through cleanings, fillings, extractions, braces and retainers. I had a scheduled cleaning appointment for my junior in high school on a Tuesday. He came home from school today, Monday, to tell me that he has a test tomorrow that he can NOT miss for a cleaning. I was told that since I did not give 48 hour notice (which would have been a Sunday), I would be charged a $65 fee for rescheduling and or cancelling. With all of the thousands and thousands ( and thousands) of dollars that I have spent in that office, they would not accommodate my sons school schedule. We all know that hs teachers give tests on a days notice that can not be missed. So now I have cancelled all future appointments and will switch to a local family practice who understands family situations more that DENTISTRY FOR CHILDREN! read more

We brought our 2 year-old daughter there in an emergency, however they were not part of our insurance. We were just glad to get her somewhere reputable quickly. Understandably, our daughter was very upset. The dentist tried to take an x-ray but our daughter was too upset and we were told it didn't come out. The dentist advised us to come back the following week for another x-ray. Nonetheless, I was surprised to see a bill that while fairly charging us full price for the visit, we were also charged for the x-ray that didn't come out. I called the business office on the phone and explained that I knew we weren't covered for the visit but at least give us a break on the x-ray that wasn't even usable. The person on the phone politely said the x-ray was somewhat viewable. I said that's not what we were told. We scheduled a follow up appt. based around another x-ray being taken. The business office would not relent. I explained to them we were a struggling family and was this x-ray more important than establishing a relationship. They did not change their position. I then worked out a small payment arrangement to handle our balance, the next bill arrived with a finance charge attached to it. I have never been so "nickeled & dimed" from a place that claims to be about family. I encourage you to find another dentist, since their only concern is to be paid. Also, I might add...the service we got was fair at best. read more

This was not the place for me. The greeter was easily confused, could not answer any of my questions, and the iPad system to input your personal information kept breaking, which required me to input the same stuff(several pages) multiple times. The hygienist was slow, and I never even saw the doctor, although my daughter said she saw one. The woman at the check out counter was condescending and rude. Check out itself was mass confusion. Multiple families are all standing in one area, talking over one another, trying to get information about their child. I would imagine that this is some sort of privacy issue, as my kid's information was spoke about in a room filled with other parents, patients, and employees. The cost for services was more expensive than what I am used to. There are other pediatric dental practices on the South Shore, and I would recommend trying those. While the office itself provided an inviting atmosphere for kids, my experience was abysmal, and to top it all off, my daughter was scolded by the hygienist while choosing a prize, something that each kid receives at the end of their visit.
