I came in with a broken filling and they failed to remove all the bad tooth material before replacing the filling which CAUSED ME to need a full root canal and crown after a week of excruciating and unnecessary pain (probably a month after the filling was replaced). And the last thing is how I was treated by the office manager. I have never been treated so terribly by someone in my entire life. When I came in and stood up for myself, refusing to pay anything for them to replace the filling that barely lasted two weeks, this woman practically threatened to not allow them to fix my tooth for free because I was already going to another dentist. AND NOW my new dentist has informed me that the crown placed over my root canal is entirely fitted improperly and needs to be removed and replaced. I am out SO MUCH MONEY and these people did nothing but DAMAGE MY TEETH and TAKE MY MONEY. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Pros include: To start with they do a complete standing scan that encompasses so much more than x-rays ever could (jaw, behind back molars, space above roots, etc.). This is followed by a complete in-office set of digital x-rays. They also look at your medical history and ask questions that are appropriate. They follow safe treatment protocol in requesting the patient wear safety glasses when being treated. Unlike other dentists I've been to since moving to Kentucky they also take precautions during dental work that include isolating a tooth during treatment by inserting it through a rubber sheet. The hygienists primarily use a water pick to clean your teeth. No more having gums sliced by the oops of a metal instrument. You say you can't afford dental work. At this office you can. They take most major dental insurances but additionally they offer their own insurance. Their insurance kicks in immediately upon purchasing it so it covers even a procedure you need immediately. Since this office has a group of dentists they work a patient in if an emergency arises. It may not be the dentist you see on a regular basis but all the dentists are good. The cons: They are busy, so if you schedule your hygiene appointment in six months you better put it on your calendar and keep it or you may have to wait for someone else to cancel.

You enter the first front door,you stop for your temperature check and Covid-19 survey. If you pass the test you then enter the second set of doors and find a chair in the waiting room that have been spaced to account for social distancing. Of course all this time you are required to wear a face mask. Then in my case I was there for a long overdue dental hygiene cleaning. Each hygienists space was designed to be a separate room when this office was built. The hygienist starts by handing you a mouthwash to swish with for 30 seconds to help kill any bacteria or virus that may be lurking in your mouth. At this point the patient is safe to be without their face mask but the hygienist dons a mouth/nose covering and a clear face shield. The traditional cleaning takes place from here on with x-rays, gum measuring, water pick scaling, and finally polishing. Dr. Renshaw made his appearance and consultation after the gum measurements were taken. When you leave after your appointment you exit via the back door which puts you in the same convenient parking lot. Thanks Geri for making my mouth feel so good again.
