My daughter still talks about her "trip" to the Dentist and how she can't wait to go back. She constantly wants to brush her teeth, and things are just right with the world! We went as a family this past Thursday. They took many safety precautions due to COVID19 and I felt very comfortable going into their office. We called when we arrived and they had us wait outside until it was our turn (which was not a long wait at all). We went in and towards the back where there was a room that had two chairs. My husband held my son on his lap and I held my daughter on mine. Dr. Hollywood came to say hi before the kids got their teeth cleaned. The dental hygienist was very patient and talked my daughter through her first cleaning. She counted her teeth, and cleaned them with a chocolate flavored toothpaste (my son had the orange). After the cleaning we had to wait just a little bit to see Dr. Hollywood again. She gave us some tips on brushing and flossing, and told us we can begin to use a very small amount of fluoride toothpaste. The appointment ended with a fluoride cleaning. It was quick and painless. My kids were then giving little "goodie" bags and even received a coin to get a small prize from the front of the office. It was such a pleasant experience and I'm so happy to have found Nutley Pediatric Dentistry. Thank you so much Dr. Hollywood and staff for making my kids first dental appointment so easy. I gave a full explanation of my dilemma and am seeking repair. having in mind keeping this as my primary dentist. x-rays were taken. it showed bridge is damaged. Dr recommended implants. Gave me a name of dentist in Nutley for a consultation. I was then dismissed. Complaining that I was there for repair the dentists comment was why waste a few hundred dollars on a quick fix? I was shocked! I insisted he do something. Frustrated he asked me which break bothers me the most? One break was repaired. If that wasn't bad enough I left the office with cavities in bottom teeth, also broken front teeth, and a back tooth that was ready to break. Which it did. My teeth are a mess on the bottom. Yet the dentist mentioned nothing of it! He was gone in a flash on to another patient. His only concern which he made clear to me several times throughout the visit was the implants! I wrote a review on how appalled I am . I've never been so confused... and put aside. I received a call back. After explains to office manager she then spoke with the dentist. Upon call back she passed on the dentists explanation upon which was a total lie. He thought I was there for a consultation! A complete lie! Now they want a copay Which should've been paid that day. I went to many Dentists for estimates. One Dentist actually threw me out of his office because they wanted to charge me $400 for the xrays and consultation and i nicely asked why, and that the nurse over the phone told me it was free. I can't tell you how degrading it is to have bad teeth and not be able to afford a nice smile. Dr Schild is a very compassionate and sweet man. I told him my situation and he didn't hesitate and said we will figure it out one way or another. And along with his amazing staff we started the process.It took a few months but now I have a perfect smile! A full set of permanent implants! The movie star teeth I always wanted. I had gotten estimates for $60K-$70K from other Dentists for permanent implants but he did it for a lot less. And he didn't have to. He's a very kind person.
