It was a regular check up as we have 2 visits per year included in our insurance and this office is in-network. We were attracted to the reviews and distance from home. The office decor is just so kid-conscious. It makes visiting the dentist an absolute delight. To add to that, the entire staff is just genuinely nice, happy, and helpful. The woman who initially answered the phone rudely told me she couldn't see my child at that office and they couldn't open a new chart for her and tried to dismiss me; this was specifically after being told by the North Brunswick office that the treatment my daughter needed could only be done in the Greenbrook location. After calls going back and forth between North Brunswick and Greenbrook, Greenbrook finally called and said they would see my daughter, but I had to register her as a new patient, for whatever reason they would not transfer her file. It finally comes time to make her appointment and there are insurance issues. The office was completely unhelpful in trying to resolve them. The issue is finally resolved, and I made an appointment for my daughter two weeks or more ahead of schedule. I called to confirm the appointment, confirm the insurance, and let them know a different family member would be taking her. My family member showed up with my daughter only to be told they wouldn't see her- again because of insurance. When I called to find out what was going on, I asked to speak to the office manager or the person who handled the insurance, which I know to be a woman. Instead, after some whispering the young man who answered the phone came back on claiming to be said person. I was then told that someone tried to contact me and cancel the appointment but my mailbox was full. There were NO MISSED CALLS of any kind, my voicemail box WAS NOT FULL, and even if that were the case there is a secondary number and email to reach me. Smile Express knew full well their contract with HBCBS would be ending September 1, and my appointment was scheduled for September 2. Their attempt to contact me was on August 29th. This office is full of nothing but disrespectful liars and I pray that no one continues to use them.

The insurance didn't cover the type of filling they used or the nitrous oxide at all, they never told me. When speaking with the office manager, she basically accused me of lying and said her office always gives the estimate. I would've never proceeded with the procedure if that was the case. Trust me, go somewhere else!
