I got front upper tooth zirconium crown done for €500. Where few other dentist offered to get the job done for €700-800 and only for metal crown. Zirconium usually is €100 more. I liked the German dentist, who also made one filling. They have pen camera, so you can see live view of your teeth on the monitor. General service is quite lovely. Nurse was doing best job I've ever seen. Jumping around every minute or so and checking on the drain tube. Dentist was also very gentle and king to explain what was necessary to be done and what could wait. They even asked, if I'm flying back home (Lithuania), as it would be much cheaper to get my teeth fixed. Can you believe that? So honest. On a downside, the place (don't be confused with the medical equipment) is a bit crumbling. Waiting lobby is cold and small, nothing comfy. You might end up waiting for half hour or so. Be patient.

I wasn't impressed by the secretaries that I had to deal with, zero customer service and even though I had my treatment and payment plan confirmed by my insurance, they still tried to charge me full price until I proved my right. All negative things aside, my dentist Kamil Noor was amazing, she was very sweet and professional, it really felt like she cared and had a sense of humor! From the moment I walked in the door I felt cared for and in good hands. Helen the receptionist is extremely helpful and overall Just a lovely person. Any appointments arranged were simple and often Helen would call be back to fit me in at a time even more convenient. Dr.Cahill himself was very thorough and explained the whole process in an easy and stress free way. I felt he really took his time to give me the right treatment and felt listened to. The dental nurse (whos name I did not catch) was also very lovely constantly checking I was ok and providing outstanding care. He was rude & condescending towards me, bordering on contemptuous, when I couldn't bite down with my front teeth aligning with the bottom teeth (I have an overbite which made it impossible.) Also I didn't like that he kept touching my belly during the x-ray to get me to stand up straighter as I hadn't given him permission to touch me there and he didn't ask. I left feeling disrespected. I called the office afterwards to give feedback about it, and his receptionist said he was not available to receive it. My advice is, find a nicer dentist.

He has replaced those horrid silver fillings with new white ones and has a nice bedside manner. Clean and clinical as any dentist surgery should be in this day and age, it comes at a price to the customer. €50 for a scrape and polish which used to be free when you paid PRSI is not a nice bill to be given at the end of a visit. Sadly with these prices no wonder Irish people have teeth like Jaws off of James Bond.

No, I wanted to stay where my medical malpractice hammer is most effective. Phoenix Dental is a very clean and friendly establishment. The equipment appears to be quite modern. There's no dried blood on the walls or the ceiling and the staff are quite pleasant. I've visited this establishment four times in the past five weeks. While the procedure I'm embarking upon is mildly painful, it's tolerable to do two procedures per week. My first session was nice. The x-rays and examination was free. We went over a plan on what I wanted done and what was needed to be done. It was affordable and spread out throughout the year, so the economic bite does not hurt as bad. They put glasses on your face so bits of bone, chemical, and blood don't fly into your eyes, which are aimed at the ceiling where there's a flat screen television tuned in to music videos. The price of the procedures is fairly standard for Ireland. Not the cheapest, but definitely not the most dear. More importantly, the quality seems to be sound. A dentist in the west recommended the doctor here, as did a city centre surgeon who would of seen previous work from the doctors at this clinic. You can't get much better a referral than that!
