I had a terrible experience here. On my first visit, I had a cleaning with Dr. K. I told her that I wanted bonding to fix a gap in my teeth, and she told me I could do bonding or veneers, and I told her that I wanted to do bonding. She told me to make an appointment with Dr. Butensky who does cosmetic procedures. The office manager booked me for an appointment for bonding with Dr. Butensky. The day before that appointment, I got an odd call from the office stating that Dr. Butensky wanted to "discuss my options" and that "there may not be time" to do the bonding. I told the receptionist I had already discussed veneers with Dr. K, and I didn't want to do it. On the morning of my appointment, I waited for over 40 minutes to see Dr. Butensky. He said I could do bonding or veneers. I reiterated that I wanted the bonding. He left the room and sent in an assistant who told me that because I chose bonding, Dr. Butensky could not do it and the dentist who would do it was out on maternity leave. I said that I had specifically made the appointment for bonding, and Dr. K and the office manager advised that Dr. Butensky was the one to do it. She sent in the office manager. The office manager said that Dr. Butensky decides the treatment plan, and he doesn't agree with doing bonding. This is something he did not express to me. She went back and forth and talked to Dr. Butensky presumably (he never reappeared), and eventually stated for the first time that Dr. Butensky did not think bonding would look good and that it would chip. I pointed out that if it is the dentist's discretion to do bonding or not, how does she know the dentist on maternity leave would do it? She told me she could have Dr. K do the bonding and that Dr. Butensky would never agree to bonding front teeth. So I received the following conflicting messages: Dr. Butensky will do the bonding, Dr. Butensky would never agree to do bonding on front teeth, it's my choice of whether to do bonding, there might not be time to do the bonding, the doctor on maternity leave could do the bonding, Dr. K doesn't do the bonding, Dr. K could do the bonding. What no one is talking about is the fact that bonding costs a few hundred dollars and veneers a few thousand dollars. Obviously this practice was just pushing the most expensive option, and when I didn't agree to the more expensive procedure I got a total run around. I've never experienced such a lack of professionalism. Avoid this place at all costs!! read more

Beware do not go to this practice. I had what was supposed to be a common crown procedure. It turned out to be a disaster. First Dr Butenski didnt allow the novacaine to take effect before he started filing down my tooth. I could feel pain in the nerve of my tooth. Then the water in his high speed drill failed to work. He kept on drilling. Because of that the heat of the drill against my tooth injured the root. I ended up having a root canal procedure done on a perfectly healthy tooth. He treats patients as a dollar sign and not as a human being. The worst dentist and dental experience I've ever had. I didn't allow him to finish installation of crown and went to another dentist. He didn't have the courtesy to give me any kind of a refund. Due to his negligence, I ended up spending twice the amount of money he charged for simple crown procedure. read more

State of the art facility with a truly caring staff. Technicians - receptionists - post visit staff excellent. Dr follows up - even when he is a new DAD! General dentistry to complicated extractions and everything in between! I would highly recommend the DENTAL STUDIO!! read more

I visited this practice for my husbands dental work and hoped all would go well. Their location would work well and they're listed as part of our dental plan. The bill wound up being twice what we were originally quoted and we were required to pay up front before the dental plan covered their portion of the bill. The bone graft that was done wasn't necessary since my husband wasn't going to get implants. The dentist wasn't interested in knowing about my husband's meds which included blood thinners. We had to return days later for help stopping the bleeding and take him off blood thinners for several days. (The receptionist even tried to charge for this visit!) The only dentist there who showed real care and concern for the patient was an older dentist, Dr. Bremmer. There were also lots of issues getting their office staff to provide assistance with my husband's new dental plan. They said repeatedly that he wasn't in the plan. I discovered they were inputting the wrong state in his home address! My overall opinion is that this practice is focused solely on getting the patient's money asap and not making sure you get the best service for your particular situation. read more

I went in for a routine cleaning. Afterwards, something didn't feel right. I looked in the mirror when I got home and noticed a chipped tooth. It was not chipped before the cleaning. Nor was the tooth unhealthy. This definitely occurred during the cleaning. I called and texted multiple times to speak with the office and to get an appointment so I can have the chipped tooth repaired. I did this the very next morning. No call back. No text back. The office is open and was indicated as such on line. This is extremely poor patient care and follow up. I need the tooth repaired. No one should walk in with healthy teeth for a routine cleaning and then have a tooth damaged and also not have caring follow up when a patient calls and texts repeatedly for an appointment to repair the damage created by them. read more

My family and I have been going to Dr. Procopio for 40 years and he is always honest and friendly. We joke about his Yankees and my Mets, but when it comes time for serious dental procedures he is always professional and does high quality work. As you can see I don't review often but I had such a poor experience with this office I feel like I should share. After telling me Delta Dental would be no problem since that was my insurance the front desk person came into the room mid-cleaning and began talking about how if I couldn't come up with a group number I would have to pay entirely out of pocket. It was so frank and out of left field that I didn't even think she was talking to me. Also, I had that suction thing in my mouth and couldn't answer right away if I wanted to. She repeated herself, and I continued to think it was rude that no one was answering her. Then she got loud and aggressive about it and when I realized she was talking to me I reminded her ( because I had already told her this up front) that my SS# was my group number. She said that didn't work. I told her that's how every dentist I've ever used has done it and showed her where it says that on the insurance card. I asked if we should stop the cleaning until we figured it out because I was not interested in paying out of pocket and she, with attitude, said she would figure it out and walked away. (She did, eventually.) Meanwhile, the hygienist who was cleaning my teeth spent the entire time having a conversation about how hard it is for women her age to date, recounting multiple online disasters, to the patient in the chair IN THE NEXT ROOM OVER. This was a conversation not only did I have no part of, but didn't want any part of. I shouldn't have to sit through personal soap operas, it's a dentist office not a barber shop/ hair salon. I was put off by the entire experience and how unprofessional it was that I left intending to make a complaint but as with so many things I just decided to let it go, knowing I wouldn't be going back there. However... When I found a new dentist that was not only much closer to home but also very well reviewed online I called this office and asked to have my x-rays transferred over they charged me $75 for my families x-rays. My insurance and I had already paid for these x-rays... this was just to transfer them to a new office. The woman on the phone told me it was an admin fee for having to make duplicates. I asked if I could just come to the office and pick up the originals and she said that would still incur the fee. So I had her send them to the new dentist via email. A task she completed in less than 10 minutes, and I paid the $75 hostage fee. Make no mistake, this was a money grab against patients who leave. Nothing more. read more

My family has been going to Dental Arts Studio for just a few years. The wait time is always under 5 minutes and the staff is friendly and professional. Dr B has a nice way about him that puts my two boys at ease, and they love talking hockey with him! Glad we found a young family dentist in the area that we can count on for many years to come. read more

I continue to have an amazing experience at the Dental studio. The staff goes above and beyond to provide the most positive experience you could possible have. I always feel they are upfront about what is covered under my insurance and they try the best they can to maximize my dental benefits. My entire family has now switched over to the Dental studio and my son come from Washington DC to have his cleanings and dental work.
