Fabulous and professional and thorough and caring...that's been the sum total of my experience. After taking fosamax to deter osteoporosis, my jaw bone was devastated. Sadly, my insurance is through Delta Dental and I spent thousands upon thousands of dollars having outrageously expensive restoration, (Delta only covers a small percentage of restoration.) bridges were literally falling out of my jaw. NO MORE THROWING GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD. So I decided I was DONE and wanted all of my teeth removed and replaced with implants. After seeing those practitioners on my insurance list at an estimated price of $65,000, I began my research. First, I became aware of Dr. Espinosa through an article in the Atlantic Monthly Review touting the fabulous medical and dental care available in other countries. Then I discovered that a good friend who had moved to Tucson had been seeing none other than my rocking Dr. Jose. So I called, was given an estimate, made my flight arrangements and off I went. Yes, there were lots of skeptics questioning my decision. But I never hesitated because I had literally been guided to this dentist who has extended education in implantology. I was quoted $17,000 for my procedure which included removal of 23 teeth, placement of 13 implants and temporary and semi-permanent devices AND PERMANENT DEVICES. I had to have numerous bone grafts to repair the damage done by fosamax. A perfectionist in his work, I was blessed to find this dentist. And then enter Dr. Maria Camargo who makes the temporaries and permanent teeth and does implant work as well. Another perfectionist...she is explicit in explaining the process, makes recommendations and exhausts herself on behalf of the patient and I can only say thank you. The process is long for a reason...I am slow to heal and Dr. Espinosa does not cut corners to speed up the process. These professionals are top-notch and I would recommend them without any hesitation. My experience has been fabulous. I only wish I had found them before throwing away thousands of dollars on my "covered" dentists who were only after the buck and never stood behind their work. Dr. Jose's beautiful and bilingual (as are he and all the staff) bride, Jessica, was the first person to greet me. His assistants are highly competent and delightful. I have dreaded going to the dentist in America and I actually enjoy going to Nogales. I stay at the Hotel Fray Marcos, recommended by Jessica, which is very clean with a restaurant and room service, and the staff is most helpful and very welcoming. The team, their wonderful personalities (especially Dr. Espinosa Senior who allows me to call him Dr. Grandpa), their professional approach to perfectionism have all exceeded my expectations. I cannot express my gratitude to these care-givers who have given me back my smile. It is without hesitation that I urge anyone needing dental care to make the call that will result in a wonderful and permanent resolution to dental problems. I am married to a physician and have worked in health care. Trustworthy...of course...with no comparison to my dental providers in the states. read more
