I recently visited Border Dental in Nogales, Sonora for an unexpected emergency after cracking a molar. I hadn't been in for a couple of years and arrived without an appointment, yet the moment I walked through the door I was met with the kind of professionalism and genuine care that every patient hopes for. Ivan greeted me immediately and handled the situation with impressive calm and efficiency. Within minutes he had taken an X-ray, contacted Drs. Saturno and Ruiz, and assured me they would fit me in despite a busy schedule. His attentiveness set the tone for the entire visit. Before seeing his scheduled patients, Dr. Saturno--whom I know personally--took the time to examine my tooth and review the X-ray with me. He explained the situation clearly and compassionately, ultimately recommending an extraction. His transparency and thoroughness were deeply reassuring. I was then escorted across the street to their original office (their new clinic is truly magnificent, by the way), where I met Dr. Alejandra--Dr. Ruiz's sister. Dentistry clearly runs in the family. What followed was, quite honestly, one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. A molar extraction certainly doesn't make anyone's "Top 10 Favorite Experiences" list, but Dr. Alejandra changed that for me. She was extraordinary--professional, meticulous, gentle, and remarkably skilled for such a young dentist. I felt absolutely nothing. The entire procedure was so smooth and comfortable that it was over before I even realized we had begun. From start to finish, the care, compassion, and competence of the entire Border Dental team were exceptional. I left genuinely grateful--not only for the immediate relief, but for the level of humanity and expertise they consistently bring to their work. I cannot recommend Border Dental highly enough. If you are looking for dental care that blends skill, attentiveness, and true patient-centered service, this is the place. My experience was wonder. Service was prompt, dentist and staff knowledgeable and attentive.

Excellent dental services. 1 star for their backoffice dental claims processing and reliability. I was promised forms to be mailed "tomorrow". It took 3 weeks and multiple calls. When it arrived, more errors resulting g in claim being g denied. More calls had to be made for their person to finally get it right. There are other higher rating dentists available. I'll give them a try before going back to BDC. read more

Just got back to Colorado from visiting Border Dental in Nogales, Sonora. Put off the dental visit way to long due to covid. No judgement. No issues. No problem. Dra. Maria is great as is her assistant. Had issues with a tooth was the reason for the visit. Dra. Maria assured me it was good. Maybe the tooth had moved around a bit and food was getting trapped in-between. A crown would fix that. Asked her if I could just clean better. Sure. Not a problem. Bottom line...were not trying to sell something that wasn't really needed. I did get other teeth worked on due to old fillings and a previously done crown at another dentist in Acuna. All work was done professionally, painlessly, and promptly. Nogales is a friendly, safe spot. Can't recommend them enough. read more

I've been going here for about twenty years on a referral from my former mother in law. She went here all the time for her normal dentistry. I had a very complex situation where my teeth had to be rebuilt they would not do it in the US I was 23 not ready for dentures the work they did they told me wouldn't last maybe ten years of I was lucky this year it fell apart 22 years later. Thank you border dental for buying me 20+ years of smiles and happiness I wouldn't have had without you. Also they will send an office employee to the border gate to pick you up if your scared or don't know where your going and they will walk you safely back to the gate not leaving till you reach the US side. I was referred to border dental by friends. As most I was a little apprehensive. Unnecessarily, They just made me feel comfortable. From Dr. Saturno across the board, everyone. The office was easy to get there and there was plenty of parking on the US side. I had 4 implants, they were performed quickly and professionally. We visited Border Dental today for the first time. We had 2 cleanings for $60. They speak English and everyone is very friendly. It was easy to schedule our appointment, and easy to get there on foot. The Office and exam rooms are clean and modern and comfortable furnished. The dentist took a lot of time explaining everything to me, including x-rays and photos so I could see everything they talking about. Crowns are $400, fillings are $70 depending on what's needed. I felt very comfortable and scheduled an appointment to return. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because I wasn't sure I needed all the services suggested, but there was nothing wrong with my visit at all. read more

I had quite a lot of dental work done here inn the last 6 months. I was apprehensive about crossing the border to get my teeth worked on. My first initial visit was odd but nothing different then what I had done in the US. The cost is 1/4 of what I pay our Porsche driving dentists. My dentist is Dr. Juan Rojas. He is a great guy speaks ok english, enough to carry a good conversation. He redid the front of my mouth and filled quite a few cavities. The office is really clean and the staff is nice. The only throw back is they don't have the high tech stuff my old dentist had, and a Porsche! If you are open give them a chance, no one messes with you when you cross the border and it's a short walk to the office. You need a passport. read more

One of Dozens of letters to DentalBliss - Dr. Marco Peralta Dr. Peralta, I am being told that I need a crown on tooth #15. There is decay under the fillings. This is MY ORIGINAL Tooth. It has never had a crown! As you can see on the treatment plan YOUR OFFICE filled out for my insurance, your office stated that you put a crown/veneer on tooth #15. Therefore, my insurance will not assist with paying for this. I am now having to pay an additional $1,200.00 to get a crown on this tooth! You lied to Dr. Vazquez and told him that you have tried to settle this case. You have NEVER contacted me. You even refused to see me for a post visit after you claimed to have finished all the work in my mouth and took $14,000.00 from me for work you DID NOT EVEN COMPLETE! I have since spent an additional $15,000.00 repairing what you did to me and what you said you completed and did not do! I still have to pay out another $10,000 for my dentist to remove the lower veneers that you did and put on new ones! I also just finished paying for a new crown on tooth #31 - which you said you fixed but x-rays here show it hadn't been touched since 2008! Apparently there is nothing more I can do to settle this. The only thing I can do is continue to write reviews on the Internet and WARN Americans as to what can happen if they go to Mexico and get bad care. YOU are ruining the reputation for other dentists in Mexico! read more

Dr. Santos put a crown on an abscessed tooth. No lead vest used for x ray. Another dentist examined, pulled the same tooth and said from the condition and puss pocket the tooth had been infected for years. I don't think Dr. Santos had good x-ray equipment and did not see the infection. read more

bad experience in 2011. Went to Saturno for cosmetic dentistry. Showed him photos. He said...no problem. When the veneers were placed, his wife spent about 2 hours grinding down the misshapen veneers from the lab. My mouth was so numb and I was so exhausted I did not inspect carefully. Got home to find big gaps between the edge of the cap and the gums. Go back and ask for refund. Says he has had other similar complaints. Will re-do and if I am not completely satisfied will refund all money. I agree. Go through same process with the bad veneers coming from lab and 2 hours with his wife grinding away on my teeth. Was not satisfied with appearance, they were uneven, different lengths and looked nothing like the photo he said was "No problem". We looked together at the original "No Problem" photos so she could see the difference. She said, "We can't do that". She said give it some time.Saturno was not there so I had no choice but to leave. I was traveling the next day. As Saturno had told me he would refund my money if I was not satisfied, I was not too concerned and I was exhausted. When I return I call to tell him I am not satisfied and want my $4000 back.. He blew up, started yelling, blaming me, said he would have to talk to his wife. That was the last communication I had from him. Would not return phone calls or respond to emails. I even went to his office. The receptionist was very cold and said he would not see me, and he was not going to give me my money back. Since then, the veneers have changed color, fallen off, etc. I have spent so much money repairing teeth that I don't like to begin with. Would replace them, only Saturno has all my money! read more
