Hector who is an expert for crowns decide to help me reconstruct the work. I did 10 crowns with him from left jaw to right jaw. Cosmetic crowns. He removed the bad old crowns, prep my teeth and gums really well and redesigned everything. The crown craftsmanship is super great Beautiful work with translucent to make it natural. He doesn't rush the procedure and do everything correctly. He will make you wait a bit until your gum heals before installing it. This procedure should never be rush. If a dentist in tijuana tells you that it would be done im 3 days . Those crowns are definitely going to give you a lot of problems and pains. Don't do that to your health. Get fittings. Hector was very through with his procedure. He checked all the occlusion and bites and make sure it would look great. In my own experience.. Never ever let a regular dentist who claimed to be cosmetic dentist do your crowns. Let the specialist. A skillful Prosthodontist do your crown!!!!!! That's the only way to get it right. They are the same price anyway. Dr. Hector price are even lower than the rest of all the dentists in town. I honestly feel very lucky to find honest dentist in tijuana. Especially dr. My regular dentist said I needed a root canal and a cap for my front tooth. They were charging me an arm and a leg. Dr. Pozada was able to save my tooth and did it for way less than I was estimated with my regular dentist. I removed them during summer. He removed four of them, and gave me NO ANTIBIOTICS neither medicine for the pain (which even the nurse there asked him if he was sure) he also never said that being many years on birth control can increase chances of infection. Three days after the procedure my jaw was locked and I couldn't eat. So I made an appointment with him. When I arrived the nurse looked worried, I was already crying with pain, he just gave me antibiotics and meds for the pain. However at that time ( a week after the procedure ( since I couldn't even open my mouth I'm sure he knew I needed to go to the hospital. Which he did not. Not only this was NEGLIGENCE but this guy had the nerve to claim our insurance in the US, even though I paid him for the procedure in Mexico he found a way for our insurance to pay for him too in the United States. Please be careful, I was 15 days at the hospital, had two surgeries and it was horrible and painful, I couldn't move my jaw and the infection moved to my neck, they had to open my cheek and neck and sew tubes to them to clean the infection.

On the other hand, Dr. Ramirez is always willing to sit and explain every problem, procedure and options at length in English which is great for Americans like me that know no Spanish. He is very honest about expected outcomes and follow-ups. It is very clear that he takes his work very seriously and really cares about you as a patient and a person. He goes out of his way to make sure the process is painless and comfortable. His finished product is the best I've had in my life. He also quotes a price and sticks with it which will be at least half and maybe more than what you would pay in the states for the exact same work. I could not be happier in finding Dr Ramirez. There are better option for dental work in Tijuana with dentist that do communicate with patients instead of offering useless excuses. Overall, this place lacks professionalism, organization, and customer value. Don't be fooled, many dental offices in Tijuana, Mexico accept American base dental insurance.
