Highly recommend this Dentist! We were traveling across country when the worst thing happened. My fathers filling fell out and we needed to have his tooth removed. To make things worse it was Friday evening. We called several places advertising 24/7 However, all seem to be call centers and can only help you schedule an appointment for Monday with a provider. We're out of network and outta luck! Until we found this place. From the moment Lily answered the phone I knew we'd be okay. They got us in 3pm on a Saturday. Ashton is Awesome and made my father and myself feel at home (even tho we're more than 2,500 miles away) Dr, Shalabi was Amazing!!! Extremely empathetic to the pain my father was experiencing and more than gentle. He removed the tooth with such ease and a relaxed manner. And we were back on the road in no time. Not ever going back. Showed up the day before my apt to fill out paperwork and give them my insurance information because I have a baby and wanted to be in and out. Showed up 10 minutes before my appointment time and waited for 40 minutes and said something to the receptionist. She then asked the other clerk to get my paper work finished. To my surprise I was called back 10 minutes later. Then the dental hygienist informs me that she doesn't have enough time to clean my teeth, only take x-rays. At this point I ask for a comment card or to speak to the manager. She tells me I can wait a little longer and talk to her, the manager was with another patient. I am commenting on the front office etiquette and not on the doctors efficiency Front office does not do its due diligence. Makes patient drive in for the appointment and then talks about insurance issues. Why can't they be proactive and discuss these situations without wasting patients' workday ? Doesn't it make better sense to save time for all? Even though I'm a standing customer of 15 years, they would not oblige. Will not recommend this place to anyone Yes I do need to investigate further with my employer and insurance about their disconnect, but this office did nothing to handle the situation. Dr Tepedino and his staff are fantastic. I went to his office last October after going to another local dentist who did nothing to alleviate my pain. I then researched and found Dental Arts. It turned out I had a horrible infection under one bridge and another under another bridge. Needless to say I was shocked because I had been told only of one infection. That day I left feeling much better and knowing what had to be done. Note: I was never pressured as before, and felt very confident. It is now late August and I just left the office having had the implants placed. I will return in five months for the crowns to be completed. If anyone out there reads this, need the best possible dentistry in Jacksonville you must go and visit Dental Arts and Dr Tepedino and his staff. "scheduled" for 12:15, wife not taken till after 1:00 pm. I had them quote me price for a "quad irrigation" over the phone prior to going (though they said the "quad" cleaning was for 3 teeth - odd, shouldn't that be tri?) the price was reasonable. We go into the appointment and I drop off my wife. They then examined her, took her into a conference call and told her that she had periodontal disease, and essentially, if she did not treat it she could die! They then want $240 for a one tooth irrigation instead of the quad (err, I mean "tri"). Ridiculous. Being that my wife recently moved to the US, perhaps they were trying to scare, I don't know, I wasn't there but by the sounds of it, intolerable! Oh, then they said she needs "all of her gums irrigated and the cost will be $1,020. ridiculous! I cannot "not" recommend enough! yes, a double negative, but they deserve it! read more

Doctor Tepedino, is currently working on my dental implant and with all honesty and because I am coming from a medical background family I can easily tell when I am in good hands this doctor is "AMAZING" very professional, extremely knowledgeable, & has a lot of integrity which is difficult to find in these days, I personally shopped around went to several dental practices here in JACKSONVILLE and Doctor Tepedino was the only doctor so far that took the time to study my case real good and proposed the best dental treatment for my case and circumstances, with all integrity. I trully feel that Doctor Tepedino, will never propose a treatment that a patient doesnt require, and that was the reason for me choosing this practice , the way they treated me and the time they took to analyse my dental profile and needs plus after visiting so many dental practices in town that was just about choosing the fast treatment that would make them the most money without reviewing the best medical alternatives. For example In one instance one of those places offered me to extract all my good teeths to perform a G4. knowing that I was not really an extreme CANDIDATE. for a G4 ? that is how greedy and unprofessional many dental practices are. But thank goodness I found Doctor Tepedino at DENTAL ARTS OF FLORIDA here in JACKSONVILLE. trust me He is trully all about his patients.He is Highly professional and so is everyone in his office I trully Waiting forward to continue all my dental works at DENTAL ARTS. I have been going to Dental Arts of Florida for a while now and I have nothing but nice things to say! From the moment you walk through the door you're instantly welcomed by the friendly faces at the front desk one of which is Adrianna! Today I had a cleaning by the hygienist named Michelle, who did such a wonderful thorough job! I admired the fact that she did not rush and really educated me on all the questions that I had. It was nice to know that I mattered. After my cleaning the assistant Sabrina then took some moldings of my mouth for trays to do the at home bleach kit. Her funny spirt kept me calm and still and the time flew by. Everyone was extremely professional, friendly and did an outstanding job. I could not be happier with my experience. My crown broke and i needed an emergency crown done due to excruciating pain. I called Dental Art of Florida and the clerk lied about doing a crown on a Sat. just to get us in the office. They had stated yes it will be done yet when we arrived they had me wait 20-30 min to get 2 X-rays cost $168 then wait another 30 min and a dentist came in and examined for only 3 minutes then said I needed a root canal and and crown lengthen, crown buildup, and new crown. Total estimate $3400 forget them!!! read more

I don't think there are enough positive things I could say about this dental office. From the sweet young lady at the front desk when you walk in to the hygienists and staff behind the scenes, they were all so wonderful. One of my boys saw Jessica (Assistant) and Vinny (the Hygienist) both were so nice and fun. They made my son feel comfortable and engaged him which is great. My other son saw Sabrina (hygienist) who was wonderful! It says a lot for an office and its staff when your 10 year old boys said I can't wait to go back to the dentist. One will be going back soon because he has some cavities that need to be filled and Leah was very nice and gave us all the information we needed for the next visit. Dr. Tepedino was very kind and informative about telling the boys they need to make sure they are keeping their teeth clean and explaining the importance of healthy teeth. They have been working really hard at cleaning their teeth since our visit on Saturday, I hope they keep it up!! I'm very happy knowing that everyone my boys engaged at this office, each person was kind and willing to talk to them. Any dental office (medical office) that can give my kids a feeling of comfort and relaxation is an office worth us sticking with. Open 7 days a week but not sure all staff are trained properly. My very chill 17 year old went in for two fillings. We waited for 40 minutes for our 1:00 appointment then, 2.5 hours later she was finished and she was very aggravated. Felt like the tech had no idea what she was doing, never explained what was happening, sprayed her in the face with the rinse nozzle, had to acquire assistance with many of her tools, declared she was taking a break right in the middle of working on her and did not return for at least 30 min. At the 2 hour mark, my daughter texted me to say, "this is awful". I then inquired of the front desk as to how she was doing. She replied that she was doing good and just about finished. When she walked out, she was very disturbed by the experience, stating several times that she felt like more was done to her than just two fillings. So, I inquired again of the front desk to confirm just two fillings had been done. One of the assistant techs replied very perfunctorily and without concern or apology that two upper right were filled but, were kind of big. They are also very intrusive with appointment and treatment reminders via text, email, phone and push you to complete their dental care plan. After my daughters 2.5 hour ordeal, they told her to schedule her wisdom teeth appointment, that are not bothering her in the least right now. So disappointed, and sorry that my 17 year old had this type of experience with a simple procedure. We have an upcoming cleaning appointment but, are seriously re-considering. read more

It's high stress sales office NOT a dental office. They were forcing me to pay thousands of dollars for treatments I didn't need. I went to another dentist and he laughed at them and told me that's what you get for getting fooled by their 5 start reviews. Had a crown come off Sunday am - called and they said they could see me in 45 mins. Prices mentioned were $125 and ~$20 for xrays. Went in and price jumped to about $220 due to dental benefits maxed - ok with that... Waited almost an hour, quick exam by dentist, then price jumps to $340 - complain and get a little reduction, and then it was not the dentist but an assistance who completed the re-cement. Took almost 2.5 hours from arrival to departure - and only about 20-30 mins of that is what I would consider to be actual "working chair time". Understand I came in as an emergency, but it could have waited had I known the surcharge for weekend emergency and the time that was going to be needed. read more

This dentist is horrible and crooked. You would think being in the nice neighborhood they are in they would not need to make up stuff wrong with your teeth to squeeze you for money. I went here and I have very good insurance yet I came out with an estimated treatment plan for $1400. That is completely insane. So of course I wanted to go to a different dentist. I asked for my xrays and they said they would give them to me for $45. uh no! So I told my new dentist who called over and requested them and they still said no we want money and lowered it to $25. This is unethical and petty I will not use any dentist who tries to rake the customer so they can stay in the fancy neighborhood they are in. Funny my new dentist didn't find that I needed a root canal. My daughter had this same problem with a dentist once...sad very sad. read more

Overall good experience. All of my procedures have been successful. I do realize things get backed up. However on each visit there has been delays. On my last visit I waited 30 minutes to be called back. Then I waited another 15 minutes to pay my bill. From my point of view there is not enough help in this office. There needs to be a receptionist dedicated to checking patients in and out in an orderly fashion. The current situation is juggling check-ins and handling insurance claims at the same time. Recommendation...move your insurance claim personnel off of the front desk to another area. Patients do not want to hear insurance claim conversations from the lobby. Again overall good experience...just some constructive criticism of what I have experienced in other professional offices. read more
