They're flexible with scheduling, always accommodating, and genuinely care. In stark contrast, I had one of the worst experiences of my life at Dr. Curington's office at the North Atlanta Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry. I got sick and rescheduled an appointment--something most offices understand. But not here. I then noticed I was being overcharged for a crown procedure and decided to cancel altogether. That's when things got ugly. I was hit with a $4,200 "cancellation fee" for a service I never received. Yes, $4,200. And then they sent that outrageous bill to collections, deliberately damaging my credit. All for being sick and standing up for myself. At first, Dr. Curington comes across as warm and friendly, but that quickly fades if you question a service or refuse a recommendation. Based on what I've read in other reviews since, I'm not the only one who's experienced this kind of treatment. In my opinion, her concern is not your care--it's your money. Her staff reflects this as well, using pressure tactics and intimidation that no patient should ever deal with. After that nightmare, Magnolia Ridge Dental stepped up in a big way. Even though Dr. Curington refused to release my recent X-rays, Magnolia welcomed me, got me in immediately, and provided top-tier care--at a fraction of the cost. I truly cannot thank them enough. To anyone considering Dr. Curington's office: RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK. And to Magnolia Ridge: thank you for restoring my trust in dental care.

But then we moved and I decided to give another "highly reviewed" dentist a try. Yes, the lobby/waiting area was a little fancier with nicer furniture and the dentists (a husband and wife team) had impressive pedigrees, but the appeal stopped the moment I sat down in the chair for an examination. I felt like a stranger and that I was distracting them from more important business. They talked with the hygienist behind my back (literally) as I could not see what they were looking at and I walked away feeling a lack of confidence in their ability to match the service I was used to. Buford Family Dental is transparent and takes time to both show on screen and explain in layman's terms, any dental concerns as well as recommended course of action to remedy the concern. All this is to say that I am back at Buford Family Dental. The confidence I have in both Dr Patel and Dr Kim as well as their staff is worth the drive for the service provided Buford Family Dental. Today I had a root canal on one tooth and a tooth extraction and bone graph (prep for a crown) on another tooth. 4 hours later, with the novocaine worn off, I sit with no pain and satisfied with a procedure done as well as any Endodontists or oral surgeon could have performed. I highly recommend Buford Family Dental for my family and friends.

Buford Family Dental / Dr. Jong Jeoung…read more If I could give 0 stars out of 5 I would. I went to this office at or about December 2024 with persistent pain in an upper left tooth and specifically raised concern that I believed it might be cracked. I was told it was only inflammation from clenching and pressure from a missing tooth. Based on that diagnosis, I was two expensive devices - a custom-made night guard and a flexible partial denture and told this would resolve the problem over time. For months I followed all instructions exactly as given. The pain never fully resolved. The partial was not made correct, there was a large gap between the device and roof of my mouth; it never fit properly and caused food impaction, speech problems, and embarrassment from shifting and drooling. I repeatedly reported these issues and was told it only needed to "break in." When I later requested X-rays to take to a specialist because the pain continued, I was informed my dental membership plan had been canceled without my knowledge or consent. I was then denied access to my imaging and refused pain treatment. At that same visit, to replace the defective partial, I was pressured to switch to a cheaper metal partial even though Dr. Jeoung talked me into buying the more expensive plastic partial because it was, "better". I ultimately went to another dentist who found a severe vertical crack through the root of the tooth. The tooth was not salvageable and had to be extracted. I was told it could have been saved if treated earlier. After this, the Dr. Jeoung acknowledged in writing that "things did not go as planned" and offered to reimburse me, but only if I signed a full legal release. As of this writing, I have not been able to use either expensive device.

They will cancel appointments without notification, threaten to take away your appointment if you do not confirm in the middle of a snowstorm, and suddenly, after 20 years of going there, treat you like you are the problem when they only care about filling time slots. First time I saw the new dentist after 20 years of "watching" some spots, suddenly they had to be filled, even though there was no pain, NO XRAY, and no problems. The only thing that had changed was the dentist, the owners, and their desire to make more money. WATCH OUT. Expect NO real care, NO consideration, NO understanding, and NO patience from the front office manager with your personal needs. If you advocate to be treated fairly and taken seriously, they will call you "rude" to your face. THEY DO NOT CARE! All they care about is filling their schedule and drilling to make money.

Unfortunately, the tooth wasn't salvageable and had to be extracted, but they already have a plan in place for an implant. The crown looks absolutely beautiful. The entire team truly cares about their patients. The dentists were thorough, attentive, and took the time to explain everything. The front desk staff--especially the women up front--were amazing, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. I've seen some negative reviews and honestly don't understand them. Maybe the wait time can be longer at times, but the quality of care makes it completely worth it. They also offered the most affordable pricing by far, without sacrificing quality in any way. I was even able to get a payment plan, and the total cost was well below what other dentists quoted me. Dentists of Buford has earned a patient for life. Thank you all so much!

Let's start by saying that I usually only write reviews when I'm passionate about something or an…read moreexperience has affected me in such a way where I need to schedule some time during the day to express myself. Today was my first time visiting the Mall of Georgia Dentistry office. And I'm almost a little hesitant about writing this review because I selfishly don't want more people to find my new forever dentist's office, haha, but they certainly deserve a positive review for the great experience they provided me today. Let me begin with the staff that worked with me today. Ashley (Dental Assistant), Dr. Whyte (Dentist), and Abby (Dental Hygienist) was the best dental team I've ever had the pleasure of being a patient of in my 30+ years of being alive on this planet. The only thing that can surpass their dental care is their wonderful, kind, and fun personalities. From the moment I got into their office, I felt that I was a priority for them. Ashley guided me to my chair, asked me about my dental history, laughed about different things, etc. Then Dr. Whyte came to review my teeth and raved about my fabulously maintained teeth and gums (I'll explain why this is important in a bit), and she provided knowledge about dental care that I wasn't aware of already. Then to complete the service, Abby cleaned my teeth ever so gently while providing great conversation. Both Dr. Whyte and Abby recommended that I don't change anything about my dental routine at home because my dental health was one the best they've seen. They scheduled my next appointment and gave me a goodies bag to take home. Now let me tell you about why this experience was something I had to write about. I just recently moved to the Mall of Georgia area. I was coming from another dentistry practice that I could've continued to use because they have another office nearby my new home. However, the experience I had there the last few times I visited was SO unpleasant that I had to find a new dentist. First, I mentioned that my teeth were confirmed to be healthy and I knew this was the case because I religiously take care of them. But at the previous dentist, they told me that my teeth were in such poor health that I needed to visit the dentist four times a year versus just the two. I knew something was off about this and later found out from other reviews left online that this practice told others the same thing to make more money. Second, the last time I visited this other dental office, the hygenist was SO bad at her job that my gums were bleeding and my entire mouth ached. She replaced a previous hygenist, who was the only positive thing about that practice. She left the organization probably because of their shady practices. Anyway, this isn't about the previous dental office, but I felt I had to mention them to portray the 180-degree difference in care that the Mall of Georgia Dentistry provided me today. So in conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Mall of Georgia Dentistry. I almost wish I needed to visit them four times a year versus just the two because I had such a good time.
