DID ADDITIONAL DAMAGE TO MY WHEEL! Through their service plan, Dent Wizard's subcontracted technician created additional damage to my wheel. Granted, they fixed the cosmetic damage I caused, but they created more by doing so. The machine used caused swirl marks, nicks/dings, and metal burrs on the face of my wheel. Which was acknowledged to Dent Wizard by the technician. The technician said he can not take a layer off the wheel, to repair it, because it will affect the structural integrity of the wheel. The issue was escalated to a supervisor, who informed me, "The repair was done complete." I was told management felt the repair was satisfactory. They would acknowledge the technician caused additional damage, but stuck with the repair was completed. BEWARE: Dent Wizard's subcontractors can damage your wheel and not be held accountable. If they damage it and can't fix it, the logical thing is to replace it, no? They won't, because the contract is for repair, not replacement, and apparently they get to determine what is an acceptable repair, not the customer. I've had one wheel previously refinished, do to a spike going through my wheel in 2003, not completed by Dent Wizard. The wheel came back perfect. read more

Made an appointment to have 2 dents repaired. Since there are no locations near me I drove 1 hour to meet their tech. The window time was 9 to 12. I arrived at 8:45. At 10;30 I called to see when the tech was going to arrive. I was told he was busy and it would be 2:00 before he could arrive. I decided not to wait 3 more hours and cancelled. They should have called me to let me know he was going to be late. read more

So...the big question is where do I start? For a bit of background, my buddy was driving a loaner car around while his got repaired after some crazy accident involving 4 cars. I was reversing my car out of the garage, wasn't expecting his car near the garage as he parks on the street, and wouldn't you know it? The loaner was in the driveway. Made a pretty significant dent and streak marks on the car (First picture). Called up some guy that does mobile dent repair and ended up paying $460 for Pic 1 to Pic 2. Long story short, I'm giving the original guy one hell of a negative review. Be careful people. Do your research. The original guy sent me a picture that was further back and looked much better. Pic 2 is my discovery after coming home. I was referred to Josh by Jim at JS Interiors and Josh was super helpful and flexible. He talked me through the whole situation and empathized with what the industry calls "hackers" or, what I've heard elsewhere, as "gypsies". Again, do your goddam research. He touched up the car to make it pretty much 90% like new and we were able to turn the car in with no problems for a fraction of the price (Pic 2 to Pic 3). Needless to say, the integrity and straight up best experience I've had has earned all my future business. Seriously. Call Josh at (510) 760-4887. I was referred to Greg by my friend at the Audi dealership in Burlingame. Apparently Greg fixes ALL the Audis on the Peninsula. There was a hater in the parking lot that dented my car on the drivers side door. It would irritate me to look at it every time I opened my door. This is my first Yelp review - I have used Yelp in the past to help make educated decisions so I felt this was important enough to share... Long-story-short: I have a 2010 VW GTI which was backed into recently causing a variety of dents, dings and abrasions to the drivers door. I have a 3 year contract with Dent Defense (through Steven's Creek VW) - so naturally I took the car there when this occurred. The tech that performed the work on the car admitted it was not perfect. I thought the work he did was an improvement, but I felt - especially after a few days of looking at it - that the over-all quality could have been much better. I had a good friend of mine who works for Dent Wizard looked at the car and he agreed the tech could have taken more time to improve the results... I looked on Yelp for reviews of Dent Wizard and saw several positive (even gleaming) reviews of Greg Sanders of Dent Wizard. I contacted Dent Wizard, told them the situation and they had me contact Greg. I did so and the same day Greg was able to look at the car and assess the issues. I made an appointment for a few days later for Greg to come to my house in the City and perform the repair (to the repair)... I say this in complete honesty - Greg Sanders is a Jedi Knight of paintless dent removal. It took him 2 hours to repair not only what the previous tech from Dent Defense could not repair, but to correct the damage the previous tech did trying to fix it the first time. The result was nothing short of amazing. It was worth every penny. I would recommend Greg to anyone with a dent issue - or poor quality work from other paintless dent companies. I wanted my rims powdered black, so I did a Google search on a Saturday morning. Dent Wizard was one of the search results, so I gave them a call. They were closed at that time, but I left a voice mail. The following Monday, I received a phone call from Steve and he quoted me a price and told me to drop my car off a for a few days when I was ready for the service. Someone put a big ding in my door scratching the paint. Greg was able to pull the dent out in no time but informed me he does not do the paint work. I told him that was fine-I would have someone else do the paint. When he was done he did use a little touch up paint and I can barely see the scratch. He was great and affordable. As an outside sales rep, I spend a considerable amount of time in my car. Hence, why I keep road hazard coverage and have used Dent Wizard/Ding Shield repeatedly. This company does what they say the will, the claims process is easy and recent customer service was OUTSTANDING. So outstanding I had to post this review and single out one exemplary person in particular, Raquel Strubhart. I have a negative experience with a vendor and called Dent Wizard to alert them and get some sort of resolutions. Not only did Raquel troubleshoot to understand the situation but, she got the vendor on the call (which I couldn't because it was after hours), stayed on the call then was actively listening so much she came up with a solution that neither myself nor the vendor had thought of! But, it didn't stop there... Raquel then executes the solution, emails me confirmation with her direct contact information and followed up the next day to make sure everything ran smoothly. The survey didn't have space for me to share that experience so I am sharing here. Please reward, promote, heck give this woman whatever she wants! Looks like Greg has saved another person's sanity by "disappearing" a crease in the driver's side door of my "new" 2007 Mini Cooper. As others have noted here, I, too, noticed the crease every time I opened the door. Door is pristine now and Greg was able to remove what I thought was a chip in the paint on my car. This company is a USAA contractor. After a severe hail storm in Northern Virginia they sent estimators/adjustors to assist with estimates for body repairs on vehicles damaged by the hail. I had an appointment for two cars, the first was a Ford Expedition. On arrival the adjustor was belligerent, disrespectful and complained about the size of the vehicle. He prepared the adjustment and I arranged for repair at my local shop. The estimate had so many errors that a 3-day repair took 9-days, with 2-3 more to go, and required multiple supplements. Pre-ordered parts had to be sent back and the correct parts ordered. After 9 days, I needed the car and took it with 2-3 more days of work yet to be done. The second car was an older Mercury. He walked up to it, ignored all the restoration work and declared the car totaled. The second repair estimate had even more errors than the first. Because of his inaccurate estimate USAA has declared the car a total loss and I cannot get them to reconsider. I am fixing the car at my own expense at 1/3 the cost of the estimate. This company's errors has cost this Disabled Veteran 7 weeks of pain and trouble in addition to all the time and expenses. read more

Last fall, I had the occasion to revisit one of my favorite San Francisco institutions, California Detailing on Fell Street. I had to take my mother's car to have it detailed as well as find a shop to repair three dents, all from hit-and-run circumstances. One dent was a three foot long crease from a motorcycle. The other two were from careless drivers who opened their doors denting the rear passenger door severely. The proprietor of the detail shop suggested The Dent Wizard for the repairs which I curiously agreed to try considering the referral, which was "second to none," California Detailing! Anyway, they had the car for 24 hours and Greg was present moments after I delivered the car. The following morning I picked up the car. The car looked so good, I thought it was a different car just like my mother's. All I can say is the service, professionalism, attention to detail and customer service was extraordinary. The insurance company questioned the bill, which included the charges for the Dent Wizard. The bill came to $1125.00 for the three dents and the detail. I sent pictures to the adjuster before and after the repairs. He was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the work. I told him my access to The Dent Wizard was through California Detailing and considering my choice saved the insurance company at least $5,000.00, (the cost of repairing both sides of a 2008 Cadillac DTS at a body shop), my submitted invoice should be paid without question. He agreed and sent a reimbursement check for the total cost of the repair and the detailing! A win, win situation for all parties, which is my favorite situation, business or pleasure. I refer both businesses every opportunity I get.
