He was friendly, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable about BMWs. He came fully equipped, got straight to work, and took photos of each repair as he completed them, which I really appreciated. What really stood out was that he went above and beyond. He fixed an additional warped spot on my door that I had not even planned on addressing and buffed out an area where I had previously used touch up paint. The results were outstanding. I would not hesitate to hire him again and already plan to have him work on my wife's X5. Highly recommend.

Since it's an aluminum panel, I wasn't sure if it could be fixed without paint, but he was able to remove the dent completely using Paintless Dent Repair. The whole repair took about an hour, and you can't even tell there was ever any damage. The best part was the convenience. I called him one day, and he was at my office the next morning. He showed up on time, explained everything, and worked right in the parking lot while I was at work. I didn't have to file an insurance claim, there was no repainting, no body filler, and no Carfax history from the repair. If you're looking for a mobile dent repair specialist or hail damage repair in the Austin area, I definitely recommend Max at DentPunch. Great communication, professional service, and excellent results.

Bottom Line Up Front: A professional shop with an owner who prides himself in quality work, and…read moresatisfied customers. In only a few days time, my truck had 60 hail damage dings repaired. The owner is honest, upfront, and reasonable, and there was never a point that I doubted his ability to care for my truck the same as if it were his own. If you have dings and dents, this is the guy. After a hail storm passed through the far west side of San Antonio, I found myself counting the dents in the two-month-old truck in my driveway. The hood, roof, and passenger side all suffered dime-sized dings from the 10-minute hail storm. I counted around 20 and quickly sought out a paintless dent repair expert to fix them. I submitted a request via Yelp and was contacted by a few companies that were body shops outsourcing hail damage repair in their shops. I wasn't impressed with the pictures or their negative reviews, so I continued my search and found Dent Free Image Mobile Paintless Dent Repair. I was impressed by the reviews and the associated photos, so I reached out and was called back to schedule an appointment. I met the owner, Peter, who was honest and likable from the moment I met him. He took his time conducting a quality assessment of my truck and noted all dings, which ended up totaling 60. I had my vehicle back in two business days, and it looked like there was never any hail damage. I don't have photographs from before and after, but I was present for the assessment and saw all the dings. I was amazed at how many there were! I took the same careful eye to assess the repair with Peter, and there wasn't a ding to be found. I am so grateful for Peter's honest and fair assessment; my 2025 truck looks just like when I bought it.

It seemed like a fair price and good value. It was also a quick turnaround. Unfortunately, we had to go back to 5Star again after a collision. We also didn't have to worry about dealing with the insurance because Samantha dealt with all of that for us. On five different occasions I rearranged my schedule to pick up a "repaired" car which turned out to be them mistaking someone else's car for being my own. At one point they gave my car away to an alarm shop to install an alarm that I had not authorized. I was treated poorly by Samantha for informing her of the confusion about giving my car away without my consent. When my car was finally ready I was supposed to bring a check that no one felt the need to tell me about and so left me with no other choice than paying out of pocket for $190 more than my deductible. This last item made me lose my patience. I pulled out my credit card, verified that I needed to pay the whole thing to be done and told them fine, let's get this over with as I just wanted to get out of there and go home to write a review of this fiasco. At that point Sean, the manager came in. He asked what was going on, I gave him a quick rundown of all the things that had happened including the final insult of having to pay an unexpected $190 more despite all my due diligence and that at this point I just wanted to inspect my car, pay, and leave. Sean's response was to get pissed, raise his voice and go off. I was trapped there with Sean yelling at me about how I must be perfect and don't understand mistakes while he also made insinuations about my privilege and the ease with which I must have lived - insulting and false presumptions. Sean's actions of anger and aggression was unwarranted especially considering how patient and understanding I had been throughout the process. The worst part though was that I was all too aware how unsafe of a situation I was in. Sean didn't hear, didn't care, or simply ignored the FOUR times I said that all I wanted to do was pay and leave. Instead, he just kept yelling at me, in front of his staff in the small waiting room. It was terrifying to realize I was trapped. I had a rental car I could no longer keep and my car they had the keys for and he knew where I lived. At a loss, I opened my purse, took out my notebook and pen and asked for his name, which he gave me and then I wrote it down. This seemed to kick him out of his lunacy because he finally agreed to let me pay and leave. I asked to see the work they did on my car but that woman in the office interrupted and said I couldn't inspect it until I've paid. She wanted me to accept and pay for their work, sight unseen. Sean told her no, that he'll show me the car. I inspected the work, found one small part wanting (one of the black runners had a tear in it) he tried to argue that the Geico adjuster, Mike, hadn't put that so they didn't replace that then corrected himself saying he would talk to Mike that Mike probably just made a mistake and all people make mistakes. (A small jab.) Sean then started talking at that point of how he knew about ALL the messed up things that had happened and said they were reviewing their processes to fix these things from happening again. I just smiled and expressed understanding because at that point all I wanted to do was pay, get my car, and leave safely. The next day they called me to come back in as Geico had approved the repair addendum, and they could fix the runner gasket thing. While I sat in the waiting area Sean came by and told me they wanted to return the $190 they had charged my card and to keep the check from Geico for the trouble. I highly recommend you find another shop. This experience was obviously created dur to multiple systemic problems with 5Star that all came to a head in my singular experience and imo no amount of the addressing training and "shop processes" that Sean said they were doing because of my experience, should justify risking a single person being put into a similar situation ever again. Yes, they did great work and gave me $190 back, but it isn't enough to offset the horrible way they chose to treat me and the anxiety they caused.
