I ordered from the 55+ menu, salmon, rice and broccoli. It was my fault ordering fish from a diner famous for their Slams. But after taking the first bite, I instantly regretted it! I read reviews before I stopped at the Madisonville Ky Dennys. I hesitated to stop. Seriously! I don't think some people's post are honest. You can't see where the cook is from the sitting area. Service is fast and the food was fast, hot and good! The place is clean. Yes I will come back. Don't pay attention to the haters on here. A very pleasant dining experience. Host sat us at a very ripped dirty seat. Bathrooms were filthy. Waitress was nice. Cook went outside to smoke in front of his customers were waiting for our food, and he went back in and we could see him in the window he never washed his hands. Still waiting for our food and then we finally left. That Dennys should be closed. The manager never came out to say anything to us. read more

I was in the bathroom at the same time as an employee who did not wash their hands after she left the stall. Absolutely not. I've eaten at Denny's multiple times and the last time I became VIOLENTLY ill. I went to the doctor the next day to discover I had food poisoning from cheeseburger I ordered. Well online ordering is a fail. You place an order but ice cream doesn't show up ok their screen and they fail to make it and you have to wait. No point in that. That's if your lucky and they get your food correct. The best part is going in after working 12 hours to only having 3 customers in the store and waiting 44 minute on pancakes and a cold biscuit and gravy. To put the icing on the cake 75% of the time the service is rude, and then wonder why they don't get tipped after a cold meal. Save your money go to McDonald's or well anywhere else. read more

This Denny's is the best one I've ever eaten at and I've eaten at many Denny's. The service was very fast, the food was hot and tasted spectacular, and the restaurant was very clean! It took us about 15 minutes to get our food, which is really good considering they were packed with everyone coming before going to church. Our waitress was very attentive and had a great attitude. The only bad thing I can say about this Denny's is their bathroom could use some attention. read more

Terrible experience. Arrived at about 2:00 p.m. Most of the tables and booths were either occupied or dirty when we came in. Took over 5 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge we were there. Another 7 to get our drinks. Had to ask for a spoon to stir my 93 years old dad's coffee 3 times. Ordered food at the same time we ordered our drinks. Several tables came in after us. They received their food and we still hadn't received ours. 45 minutes after we sat down and after asking the waitress several times about our meals, my husband went looking for the manager. He explained to the manager that the waitress had told us several times that our food was on its way but we still hadn't received our meals. The manager was very disinterested and made no attempt to find out where our food was and why it was taking so long. My husband told him that we were at the point of just leaving and the manager made excuses including a new cook was training and walked back into his office. The waitress told my husband at that point that the food was on its way out. He came back to the table and we waited another 5 minutes and still no food. We made the decision to leave at that point. Just an FYI, our order consisted of a cheese omelet with hash browns and wheat toast, spaghetti and meatballs, and a specialty skillet; none of which should have taken more than 5 minutes, 10 at the most, to put together. If I ran my business that way, I wouldn't have one for long. Sadly, I don't know that I will ever step foot in another Denny's again after this experience. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would! I work in the restaurant industry and I have never in my life received such terrible service as I did tonight. To begin with it took almost 15 minutes of us standing at the front door before we were even acknowledged, although several team members looked our way we didn't even get a "hello", or "we'll be right with you". Should have left then, but gave them the benefit of the doubt, finally got sat just to wait another 15 minutes before we were greeted or received drinks. All the while hearing a server complaining she can't take our table because she already has one. . We were literally one of six tables in the whole restaurant. Finally the woman who sat us took our drink order since there wasn't a server "available". Then a server finally came to take our food order, when our food finally came out it was just ok, our kids burgers were actually kind of burnt. Our drinks were never refilled and our server never checked on our table. I was so irritated I didn't even want to pay for the food. We will never eat here again. I don't know how they've stayed in business. Biggest waste of money and time. read more

I am so disappointed in this restaurant. recently the service has gone downhill so badly that my husband and I will never go back. 5 minutes ago I called in an order for two classic burgers. I have diverticulosis. I cannot eat seeds so I asked if I could have abun that did not have seeds on it. I was told that they would have to key it into their computer as a build your own burger order. I've been asked if this would cost more and was told yes $1 more. are you kidding me this is crazy. their burgers are good but no burger is worth $10 sorry I will never call again or never go back again. Don't come here on Sundays before church!! Unlike the food which was good, the service absolutely sucked. We came here to get breakfast. We usually go to Huddle House but they were too busy so we went here. This was a BIG mistake. Our server was terrible. I ordered the Grand Slam and my grandson got the same. My other grandson got the chocolate pancakes. The server walked off and disappeared where she never came back until our food arrived. She walked around giving other people refills and checking on them but never checked on us. Our food took forever and it felt like we were waiting 30 minutes for pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage. And it literally took 20 minutes just to get our bill on a piece of paper. And on top of that I was never offered a coffee refill. We usually leave a good tip but we didn't leave her one. When the cashier asked about our experience and we told the truth and she said nothing. Otherwise it was our normal experience but we won't be back anytime soon. read more
