I avoided going to our local Denny's for quite some time, because I viewed it as blasphemous that they actually CLOSE, especially before midnight? I mean, what kind of Denny's isn't there for drunken folk in the middle of the night when nothing else is? Isn't that the purpose of Denny's? Why else would they exist? Do people seriously go there during normal hours of operation when you could go other places? Well, I was feeling like some pancakes, copious amounts of pancakes, so we decided one day to just give it a try. Most of us ordered the Build Your Own Slam. It's $11/for 4 menu items, then $2 for each additional item (up to two) that you want to order. I doubled up on pancakes, thinking I could eat FOUR pancakes, then I also got sourdough toast, fruit, and added on hash browns. I could not finish all of this, but dang, it was delicious. I still don't fully trust this limited hours Denny's, but I would return. I also like that they carry the Beyond burger for the Build Your Own Burger. Props to our server Andrea, she was super patient, super nice, and had her shit together. It amazes me when people have been working in the industry for so long and they aren't burnt out, they just understand how to deal with people. The patience of a saint, that one. The food was so bad we left and will never return. My pancakes literally had chunks of flour and something unrecognizable in them. Service was very slow, but it looks like they have staffing issues. One waitress seemed like she was juggling a lot that's not her fault. I anticipate this Dennys will not be around much longer. On top of all of that it wasn't a clean restaurant. We hadn't been there for years, we liked it at one point but unless something is done to improve everything no one is going to return. Sorry Dennys you need a lot of improvement! read more

I am beyond Still in SHOCK at what happened to me At Dennys...I arrived there late Thursday night after working my Delivery job All day...I've been a regular customer there for quite some time...The Server on night Shift. ." Alex" is Awsome...makes sure to check on Me every few minutes ...even brings me my own little pot of coffee...well ii.pauf paid my bill and gave Alex a nice decent cash tip...but I had a bunch of paperwork I needed to get done...so I sat there doing it...As Alex shift ended and a different server took over his area....OMG... Such horrible service...I asked her one time if I could please have some extra napkins.... She Rolled her eyes at me and brought some back... A little while later I asked her if I could have a fresh pot of Hot coffee being the coffee was cold... I happen to mention my half empty cup waa cold...well again I got a eye roll...she brought back the pot of coffee and walked away....ummmm....so where was I suppose to put the cold coffee in my cup...well rather then deal with her again I was just gonna. Take the cup into the rest room and pour it into the sink...but a guy came over to take my disdishes away and I asked if I could get a different cup...Well Anyway....Obviously get thinking must of been...why even bothering checking on me ...because I had already ate and paid...well she shouldn't of just aassumed that I wouldn't of Tipped her as well for one thing...but as I was getting ready to leave... I went with my friends from high school to this Denny's location and it was terrible. There were literal cockroaches hanging out everywhere and it reminded me of my teenaged son's bedroom. Today my daughter & I went out for skme breakfast at Denny's. I was surprised to see all the ways they made sure things were clean and safe for us. All of the staff wore masks & gloves. They removed many chairs and tables to allow for social distancing. All of the condiments were individually packed. Our menus were paper menus and i saw a spot where they were discarding used menus (hopefully for recycling). Plus our food was delicious. My daughter had confetti pancakes and i had a grand slam. Couldn't tell you how the food was, waitress made eye contact with us while we waited at the host stand with no greeting or acknowledgment, waited for ten minutes and decided to leave. A simple "we'll be right with you" would suffice. read more

First visit: Greeted at the door with a huge smile and seated right away. Drink order was taken and delivered super fast. Fish and chips was excellent. Pot roast was also very good. Manager visited every table to see how things were going. Second visit: Seated quickly and drink order taken. They were out of Coca-Cola (busy weekend) and no longer server Hi-C fruit punch as stated on the menu (no biggie for me). Waitress was very apologetic. I came here for the first time with a party of 10 (myself included) considering the amount of people I was with wait time was understandable (40ish minutes) when the food arrived it was delicious I ate it all. My issue was with the fact we did find a hair in our food, and bathrooms mirrors were pretty dirty. They do offer military discount which is awesome! read more

My wife and I attempted to eat at Denny's this morning about 10a (Saturday - NOV 7). We each ordered a breakfast. I ordered coffee as well. When the waitress brought out the coffee, the cup was dirty (it had dried coffee stains on the outside of the cup). I asked for another. The replacement cup was even dirtier (dried coffee on the outside and food specs on the inside). Plus, the waitress was holding the cup by the rim of the glass (not the handle). After she set the cup down, she coughed into her hand. And that was enough for me. We left. The problem with the old Denny's was it was always dirty. While our visit started out innocent enough. Our waitress came to our table not once to ask what we wanted to drink and introduce herself, not twice, but three times. She did the same thing to the other two tables I could see. Once she took our order it came out quick enough. Don't eat the chicken noodle soup. Gross. Fast forward fifteen minutes and behind me I get to hear some kick talking about the wall trump is going to build and if any of "them people" come over they should all just shoot the little bastards. Now, our waitress heard this and immediately apologized to us. I turned around to see who would say such vile things, and it was this nasty ass demented sob and his subservient wife. I looked him dead in the eyes and then he looked at my daughter who is 1/2 Mexican. I tried so hard to hold in what I wanted to say and I did a bit, but I did let the management know and how angry I was at what had occurred and not one person from Denny's said anything to them. I was asked if my meal was ok; really? No, it wasn't ok. Two of the items I ordered were never delivered and we were charged for them and didn't realize it until after we left because I was so mad. Not once did they offer to seat us somewhere else or ask this person to keep his opinions to himself. Very disappointing experience. I am a Veteran and eaten at this location several times. Now when come for breakfast, I tell the waitress to wait as have to see if their wi-fi is working. Two times it has failed and excused myself even though I get a veterans discount. I go downtown to the Citrus Cafe these days. My second note, I do prefer a warmer atmosphere with no echo sounds and dishes banging and will pay more. ihop as an example, if wi-fi is unimportant, to get veteran discount. We've had the same waitress (Amber) both nights we've been here. She's accommodating and friendly. Her personality is one of the reasons we continue to come back. She's hilarious in just who she is as a person. It makes it worth wild. The food has also been good both times but it seems every time we're here the kitchen misses something and amber has to call for it. All in all. Good food, great service. read more

Not the best Denny's. Brought my father here after his Dr appointment and they managed to screw up three orders. Waitress was great and I made sure she was tipped well. The cook started throwing things around the back and yelling audibly when we sent a meal back. Finished our coffee and left. Told management they needed to wrangle that in. We went there for dinner tonight and the worst customer service possible. The waitress was nice enough however she did not get my daughter's order when she got everyone's order and came back and apologized. We had to ask for silverware for 3 at the table twice and she spilled some of a drink on one of the kids and did not apologize or give napkins to clean it up. However that was not the worst of it. One of the ladies helped bring the food out asked who ordered this and we said we did not know because we did not order what was on the plate, so she puts the plate down and says "they don't even know what they ordered" and walked away. My son enjoys Dennys so I take him about once a month. I really love the steak cod salad, it's huge and has fresh veggies and the ranch is thick and tasty. And I enjoy their Cherry Coke, they add a syrup to make it. My son always gets a massive breakfast (served all day) and actually fills him up, which is hard to do. He's an athletic 16 year old that can eat anyone out of a house and home. The only problem is, the staff! This establishment looses 2 full stars due to this issue. They are always dirty looking, and trashy. They use improper English and are rude. I've heard them trash talking management, other staff and even guests on several occasions. And I've overheard very colorful cuss words as well. It's become a recurring joke to my son. Makes me wonder if dirty nails, greasy hair, and neck/wrist tattoos are a part of the uniform. I would be ok to never step foot in there again, and even my son is getting closer. Management should be stricter on hygiene. No one wants to smell the staff, over the food. Best of luck to the franchise owners and management. They work hard and I'd hate to see them continue to loose business over something so fixable. read more
