I have been coming to Dr. Paul Chen for the last few years since my previous chiropractor retired…read more Dr. Chen is absolutely amazing! He really understands your body and does epic cracks! He is so caring, sincere, and listens to what issues you have going on then adjusts to get you back to your best self again with his skills and expertise. His front staff and team are also fantastic especially when you are in pain and trying to get an appointment. Shout outs to Jenny, Susan, Coreen, and Theo! Finally, a shout out to the new addition to his office, chiropractor Dr Tyler Miyamoto. He also has excellent experience and skills, especially in muscle and tendon work to prepare me for my adjustment with Dr Chen. And a friendly and kind yet professional demeanor. Thank you, everyone! What a great team.

Dr. Chen and Dr. Miyamoto are great!!! Dr. Chen does all…read morethe chiropractic therapy and Dr. Miyamoto handles massages, at home therapy, stretching, and patient health history collection. At my first visit, they took my body weight measurement and vitals. Dr. Miyamoto came in and asked about my health history, any issues that I had, and reason for visiting the chiropractor. After, they used electrode therapy and the heated roller bed to relax tense muscles. I went back to the waiting room to see Dr. Chen. He was very knowledgeable, skillful, and experienced. He pointed out all the areas I was misaligned as well as from injuries in the past. After 4 visits, my workouts and daily life felt much more comfortable and I felt more flexible and capable. Mind you, I'm only 24 live a very active lifestyle and workout a lot. It's the little things that I took for granted. Dr. Chen showed me how my body was supposed to feel. I will continue to come back! Especially if I have any injuries. Recommend for anyone who is very active as your muscles tend to stiffen up and your body may become misaligned over time leading to issues later on down the line. Waiting room and office was very clean and all the doctors and assistants were super friendly. Thanks Dr. Chen and Dr. Miyamoto!

I don't want to write negative review for Joint Chiropractor, but I think I should warn others…read more I usually had great experience at the Joint near my area at West Covina, so I thought why not get one adjustment done before the end of the month, so I stopped by this location after a spa. The front desk girl was friendly and helped squeeze me in for the last mn before they close on Wednesday. To my shocking surprise, Dr Roger didn't ask me where I wasn't feel well or even asked how I was doing. He went straight to check my main spine, which seemed good, he didn't event adjust it but told me to roll to the side for lower back adjustments. Then adjusted my necks, which left me shocking traumatized. My neck wasn't relaxed yet and he already cracked me, both side. I was in such much pain that I couldn't move when he's done. He told me that we're done, and I said just a moment while closing my eyes and holding me neck in pain. He didn't ask to make sure if I was ok, he just left into his room. I was so surprised, but I tried to get up and leave. Someone on Yelp said this location isn't owned by the same owner fell West Covina one, maybe that's why my Dr at West Covina left me better impression. I'd never come back to this location again. I hope other patients would take initiation to speak up and protect your body.

This review is a little long, but I hope you'll take the time to read it…read more Last May, I welcomed my first child. Since it was my first time being a father, I didn't really know the proper way to hold a baby, and over time I ended up straining my left wrist. For a while, it was quite painful. It wasn't a sharp or severe pain, but more of a constant dull ache. My wrist would also make clicking or popping sounds whenever I rotated it. I asked several friends who have children, and they all told me that it was probably caused by the way I was holding my baby. They also told me that this type of injury could be difficult to reverse and that I might eventually need a steroid injection. Since I heard pretty much the same thing from several different people, I started to believe that I would just have to live with it. I was even more skeptical because I already had a similar problem with my right wrist. I injured it years ago while playing basketball, and even today, I still occasionally experience a dull ache. I've seen many doctors about it over the years, and I was always told that there wasn't really a way to completely fix it. Because of that experience, I had basically accepted that I would probably need to wear a wrist brace and simply try to prevent my left wrist from getting worse. One day, I mentioned the problem to my wife. She suggested that I try shockwave therapy and EMTT, and she made an appointment for me with Daphne. I went into the treatment somewhat skeptical. After all, I had been dealing with my right wrist problem for years, so I wasn't expecting too much. Daphne turned out to be a wonderful therapist. Before starting, she took the time to explain how the treatment worked and the principles behind it. I won't go into all the technical details here, but after her explanation, I decided to give it a try. The treatment lasted about a month. To be honest, immediately after that month of treatment, I didn't notice a dramatic difference. There was some improvement, but it definitely didn't feel like the problem had been completely resolved. At the time, I was a little disappointed, and I brought up my concerns with Daphne. She was very patient and explained that the results wouldn't necessarily be immediate. She told me that it could take around six weeks after completing the treatment before I would really start noticing a significant change. And she was right. Over the following month and a half, the pain in my wrist gradually disappeared. Today, I still carry my son every single day. He now weighs about 26 pounds, and after adjusting the way I hold him, my wrist no longer hurts. The pain has not returned either. I've been pretty busy lately, so I'm planning to wait until things settle down a little before going back to have my right wrist treated as well. Thank you, Daphne, for your patience, professionalism, and help. I was skeptical when I started, but I'm genuinely grateful that I gave the treatment a chance.

I…read moredon't think I'm alone in saying that the majority of doctor/medicinal experiences, no matter how great the doctor themselves are, are ruined by terrible and rude office and receptionists, long wait times, etc. But not here. China is so nice, efficient, and will always do her best to get you scheduled. She's even managed to get me in on the same day for times where I'm in just too much pain and need to get help asap. Both Dr Swart and Dr Clarizo are fantastic - you can't go wrong with treatment. Depending on your needs, they have electrostimulation, waterbed massage, massage therapy, and adjustments. They are very detailed in evaluating your medical history and I have always felt like I'm in trusted hands when I'm here.

I purchased a Groupon and called to schedule an appointment shortly before it expired. The…read morereceptionist offered me either Wednesday or Friday, and Friday was the only day that worked for me. When I arrived, limping and in considerable pain, I was told that my Groupon had expired and that I would need to pay an additional $55. I was then told that the Groupon could have been redeemed over the phone when I made the appointment. Had that been mentioned during the scheduling call, I would have redeemed it immediately. Instead, I made the trip only to be turned away with an unexpected charge. My disappointment isn't with the policy itself--it's with the lack of communication. Groupon is meant to introduce new customers to a business. This could have been the start of a long-term relationship and a repeat customer. Instead, I never even got the chance to try the treatment. A simple heads-up when I booked the appointment would have prevented this entire experience.
