I don't want to write negative review for Joint Chiropractor, but I think I should warn others. I usually had great experience at the Joint near my area at West Covina, so I thought why not get one adjustment done before the end of the month, so I stopped by this location after a spa. The front desk girl was friendly and helped squeeze me in for the last mn before they close on Wednesday. To my shocking surprise, Dr Roger didn't ask me where I wasn't feel well or even asked how I was doing. He went straight to check my main spine, which seemed good, he didn't event adjust it but told me to roll to the side for lower back adjustments. Then adjusted my necks, which left me shocking traumatized. My neck wasn't relaxed yet and he already cracked me, both side. I was in such much pain that I couldn't move when he's done. He told me that we're done, and I said just a moment while closing my eyes and holding me neck in pain. He didn't ask to make sure if I was ok, he just left into his room. I was so surprised, but I tried to get up and leave. Someone on Yelp said this location isn't owned by the same owner fell West Covina one, maybe that's why my Dr at West Covina left me better impression. I'd never come back to this location again. I hope other patients would take initiation to speak up and protect your body. read more

My daughter has been a patient with the joint for the past 6 years. What people don't realize is "The Joint" is like a fast food for adjustments. For me and my daughter this is what we wanted, what she wanted, come with no appointment, get adjusted and leave. Yes it's less than 10 mins & sometimes only 5, but we are okay with that. Unless you're a new patient, they aren't going over anything in depth with you. The Rosemead and Monrovia are our go to and owned by the same gentleman. After several years of coming to the joint- yes there is good and bad doctors. I feel all the good ones have left. Came in on 3/8 and saw Dr. Ryan. - here's the quick back story. I saw Dr. Ryan when I first started coming - he was great patient and caring and his adjustments were great and took his time. After a while he disappeared so eventually I found a new Dr. who was great. Fast forward after 4 great Drs leaving, I eventually relocated to Ventura and found a great Dr. Coming back today being in town I saw Dr. Ryan was here to my surprise. Great! I remember it being amazing. It was anything but that. It was THE WORST. 2 minutes of adjustments and 5 straight minutes of ridicule, judgment, and making you feel bad and guilty for not having the time to go to the joint consistently. The adjustment was mediocre (not how I remember his adjustments being before). I didn't even feel any relief afterwards - I kind of actually feel worse. Had me lie on back did quick 3 cracks, no directions, if I wasn't facing the right way he'd be like "come on Man! Seriously?!" Laid me upright did quick 3 cracks. Other doctors I've had would sit me down each visit, ask what's not feeling right and adjust accordingly, (arms, wrist, ankles, back) and offer excercise tips or suggestions in general to improve overall health. Nope none of that. Just lay down - and listen to the ridicule and judgment - no trying to get to understand and learn what needs to be adjusted from the patient. No wonder I was stiff the whole time. Just listening to his ridicule made me want to get up and leave but I couldn't. read more

Started coming here due to neck pains and got what I expected. Got my eval, got my adjustment was out quickly. Today I came back for my continued treatments. Dr Ivan treated me. Iwas done pretty quickly which is nice because my day isn't wasted waiting around. I presented dr Ivan with a problem I've had for 3 weeks now in my left palm; some soreness that i thought was a bruised ligament. He examined it and after like 5 mins he diagnosed me with tennis elbow. He treated it on the spot with acupressure, gave me a very brief education on how I shouldn't put pressure on the muscle insertion site itself rather than the length of the muscle, and relieved it almost immediately. Very much appreciate the add on treatment that wasn't part of the schedule even if it took a tad bit longer than my assigned time. Their office is nice and clean. The front desk reception, so nice. The initial visit was a schedule appt then it's walk ins after. So really the only thing I wish they had was somewhere to check current wait times so I can plan my visits with as little wait as possible. I've been here a couple of times and I haven't had trouble with the wait. Coming when they open at 10 am yields no wait time :). I guess I can always call....buuutttt I don't want to. read more

It's never a routine adjustment, but rather custom tailored care! This is important because other locations literally do the same thing every. single. time. Dr. Ahmed is great too! Walks you through everything he's doing, with guided insight on how to improve your spine health outside regular chiro visits! He has a plethora of stretches he references and recommends to help improve your overall health. Parking is widely available, but the plaza does get busy during the evening rush hour. Went to the joint today for help with back pain after an injury yesterday and had the worst experience of my life. I literally left in tears due to the frustration and humiliation I felt. Dr. Ryan had the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have ever met. Once we arrived in the back I took off my back brace to get ready for the examination and treatment. I was in pain just standing there. Instead of just simply telling me my symptoms were too serious to be seen for chiropractic treatment now and to seek care at the urgent care or ED Dr.Ryan starts going off on a long lecture saying how I am looking for a quick cure instead of treating my condition. Effectively humiliating me instead of offering kindness and direction when I am seeking help. I continually tried to ask him what I should do instead or where I could go because I was in such pain but he keeps going on off on his tangent speaking down to me like I don't understand what he's saying. I never once pushed for him to treat me or continue with the chiropractic care. I would have accepted his judgement and direction if he simply just told me where to go and what to do. But he just did not have the situational awareness to see I was in pain just standing and listening to him and did not need a lecture but just direction and kindness. After apparently immediately identifying what my condition could be shouldn't he have known how much pain I was in? Especially since he told me he'd experienced it himself?When we go to any medical professionals we are seeking help and kindness. We defer to the professionals because they do know better. However, having more knowledge does not mean you should belittle your patients seeking help. Patients come to you at their worst and look to you for help, as a medical professional you should have had more kindness and empathy. I also want to note prior to being called I also heard him giving a long lecture to an elderly lady who was seeking treatment as well. Perhaps, I should have known I was going to be in for a bad ride then but I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. How wrong I was. read more

I came to the Joint because of migraines. I didn't know what else to do and heard that a chiropractor could help. Lovely place and my go to doctor is Dr. Ryan! He is polite and takes his time to check with me. I don't feel rushed when I am seen by him. I actually feel like he cares about me and my health! Lol. I've been coming for over a month for weekly adjustments and my migraines haven't returned and an existing shoulder pain has decreased. We are working on improving my posture, my daily exercise, water intake and lowering my stress levels. Dr. Ryan oh my god this review is for you!!! First of all THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being the first medical professional to finally listen to me & not dismiss my pain. You actually listened to my concerns & even went over my new patient medical history carefully. I have suffered from lower back for YEARS. Specifically since 2018. I don't know where it came from or why it started. I thought it was my weight so I dropped weight. Still didn't go away. Then I thought it was generic because my dad suffers from chronic back pain too but I was told it wasn't? I honestly don't know. Anyways, since 2018-2021 it was an on & off pain where it would came & go randomly. 2022-2023 I got no pain because I was pregnant (go figure. I don't know how I didn't get pain during that time). Earlier this year in March (7 months postpartum), I got the pain back & it has been consistent ever since. I've been suffering every single day with the pain getting worse. I've gone to my PCP & was dismissed the first time. Was told to just stretch it out. Second time I was sent to get x rays. Came back that I had arthritis (which sucks). Was sent to receive physical therapy (PT) but I feel as if my therapists aren't really listening to my concerns & just have me do core workouts. I also feel as if it's been getting worse since starting PT. Recently my pain began to radiate done my legs & now has been painful to even SLEEP. Because of this I truly believe it's a nerve or even disc injury. I cannot sit, lay down, stand, walk, or even toss & turn at night. Everything just hurts me. Ended up at the ER but all they did was give me muscle relaxers. No MRI has been suggested even though I've complained from pain since March. ANYWAYS, coming back to Dr. Ryan. I finally had enough of my pain & believed that seeing a chiropractor to get adjusted would help me, at least enough to be able to get through the day with the pain. When I came in to the office I was on day 2 of being unable to stand straight. I was slanted to my left side. I've been feeling so much weight/compression on my lower back/hips & I told Dr Ryan allllll of these concerns. He literally took minimum 30+ min with me just talking and explaining what I could possibly be going through. Modeled a spine to show me what can be happening in my back. Overall I truly felt like he cared for what I've been going through. Although he did not adjust me fully, (because he was afraid to do more damage than good if his suspicions of what I could possibly have be true) I still felt soooooooo much better 3 days later. He did warn me that I would be sore the following day, which I really was. Oh my god I was really sore & really thought he had done more damage at first. On the second day after my adjustment by him I actually felt a little more relief on my lower back. That night was actually so much more comfortable than the past week. Today, day 3, I was able to finally sit through my whole breakfast & dinner. I was able to finally drive without so much pain. All in all, the decompression he did on me has relieved soooo much pain & discomfort. Although I did not purchase the wellness package (only because I wanted to see if the adjustment would help a little) I'm still definitely going to go back in a few days to continue & see if this will help me at least with managing my pain for now until I figure out what's going on with me. Shoot maybe my body just needs to be adjusted once a week or so just to keep my body healthy. So again THANK YOU Dr. Ryan! Will definitely be seeing you soon!! read more

I had my initial consultation & alignment as a 35 week old pregnant woman with Dr. Ryan & he was the best. He was very attentive to the pregnancy pains in my hips & lower back. I was fortunate enough to walk in during Dr. Dan's schedule on a Saturday. He is kind of a Chiropractic guru. I have a difficult time sticking with one chiropractor because of my sporadic schedule but I'm sure I'll have to drive to Rosemead every Saturday to see Dr. Dan. BE WARNED!!! Their cancelation policy is extremely unreasonable and inconvenient! On Nov 11th. I visited TJC for lower back problems and signed up for their 4 visit per month plan for $89/mo. When I tried cancelling my membership on Dec 12th, Ariel told me there is nothing she can do over the phone, and I had to go there in-person to sign something. As such, I reluctantly went there and Ariel handed me a form to sign. After I signed the form, Ariel says Steve B (manager) will be contacting me regarding next steps. I thought that was strange, being that I just wanted to cancel my membership. I told Ariel email is my best method of contact and left TJC. It is now Dec 30th, and Steve B is still are calling, texting and emailing me! What do you want from me TJC?!?!? You're stressing me the F*** out and giving me lower back problem! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The receptionist are friendly. I gave this place a try since it's close to me and my sister had been going here. They have a first visit "special " . I ended up getting a subscription. I got charged $119 meaning I get 6 passes - is what I was told. That I had to have it for 2 months and then I could cancel, which I was fine about. I went in today to try and get seen and cancel since it had been two months. They told me my "card" didn't go through so I couldn't use it. I proceeded to tell them what card was on file so I could check and they said no since you canceled. So I paid $119 for two visits...that's insane .
