The "other ways" ended up being an accusation that my special needs child was taking my attention away from my oldest, and creating a "chaotic" atmosphere. I could have obtained the same information she volunteered from the inernet, and she even insensitively referred to my son, who has been affected by the abuse, as having "issues". I walked away feeling defeated, hopeless, and out $200 of money that I could have used for a more empathetic counsel actually concerned about the client as much as her personal time and money. My sister in law (who is a paralegal for family law in another state) was appalled by her lack of commitment to counsel the very real scenario I presented to her in our awkward and disheartening "1 HOUR" interview.
