Mrs. Daughtry was acting as counsel to her client who brought forward a modification for custody…read morebased on grades and attendance of our child during remote learning. Among those complaints were "other ways" to be disclosed at the hearing. The "other ways" ended up being an accusation that my special needs child was taking my attention away from my oldest, and creating a "chaotic" atmosphere. She argued her client should be given custody based on an evaluation video sent to his school for the purposes of rectifying his behavior that occurred during covid shut downs (he was 4 at the time). Custody was not modified. If you are looking for a lawyer who "swings low" to accomplish a goal, she is your best bet. If you honor morality and ethics, i would avoid this attorney.

Very disappointed. I sought legal counsel for separation/divorce from a verbally/emotionally…read moreabusive relationship. Kelly was, first, 15 minutes late to see me, then, kept periodically checking her watch to make sure she was within time limits. However, worst of all is that she felt compelled and insisted to break down lengthy general guidelines for possible financial/asset distribution scenaruios (to keep within her strict 1 hour time constraint), in lieu of all but completely ignoring my volunteered info regarding the emotional abuse, and not even hinting at taking any stance on it in the actual divorce process. I could have obtained the same information she volunteered from the inernet, and she even insensitively referred to my son, who has been affected by the abuse, as having "issues". I walked away feeling defeated, hopeless, and out $200 of money that I could have used for a more empathetic counsel actually concerned about the client as much as her personal time and money. My sister in law (who is a paralegal for family law in another state) was appalled by her lack of commitment to counsel the very real scenario I presented to her in our awkward and disheartening "1 HOUR" interview.
