Luckily, this supermarket was just a short walk from our Airbnb. The store is well-stocked with everything from fresh produce to ready-to-eat meals. We were pleasantly surprised to find a machine that makes fresh orange juice on the spot - my SO was so impressed, he grabbed one right away! I wandered over to the chocolate aisle and was absolutely overwhelmed (in the best way). They had good deals too. So many options! I had a tough time deciding what to bring back for friends. We parked our car there for 3 hours, came back and didn't have enough coins to validate our parking ticket. Machine said we could use coins or notes. Notes needed to be 10 or 20 franc bills. So....we walked around looking for an ATM that allows 20 franc min to be released. Went back to machine and guess what would not except the 20 franc bill. Tried 3 machines on 3 levels with same result. Tried putting the bill in every way possible, even crinckled it up in the end to see if that would help...nope. so we had to find a place in the evening that we could get coins from, not easy in Davos after 7 pm on a Saturday. We are an hour plus into it at this point. By time we got back we owed even more! And although the coins worked be warned it has to be EXACT otherwise it won't accept the final coin. And here is the kicker. None of the machines have credit card as an option. Nearly every other place in Davos has machines that accept credit cards. Anyway wanted others to be warned because the whole experience was so frustrating for us.

There is an Edeka, DM, a take away bakery/food stand and an apotheke. The DM has better stock than the two other DMs in and near Lago center. The aisles are wide and the check out lines short. This DM offers a full range of Alnatura products as well. The Edeka is clean and spacious as well. No lines here either, ON A SATURDAY AFTERNOON! Just amazing. I normally dread coming to Konstanz because of the masses and there is none of that here. This seems to be the center for the "German" shoppers and not the Swiss border crossers. This is my new favorite spot. I will never wait in the parking line at the Lago center again!
