This is a fairly large Coop supermarket in St. Moritz. The parking structure is a bit weird where there are only a few parking spaces on each floor and it goes down several floors deep. I was getting a bit dizzy driving down in tight circles to find an empty parking space.
It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon when we went, so a bit of a queue to check out. I liked how all the produce is up front when you first walk in. So colorful and cheery with all the fresh fruits. :) I also like the Coop JaMaDu line, where they package smaller items for the kiddies. I bought a pack of JaMaDu apples, thinking the pint-sized fruits would help me with portion control, but then I ended up eating 2 at a time because they were so small. :P
The refrigerated section is also up front, and I got a new drink to try--the C-Ice Swiss cannabis ice tea that I've seen before in vending machines but never bothered to buy. It came in a cool paper can. After I got home, I actually went to the web site listed under the can to check out more about this interesting packaging. It seems quite fantastic, but I wonder if it's really an improvement over aluminum cans or paper juice boxes... hence, that's probably why we don't see them mass-produced yet.
Anyway, the ice tea tasted like regular sweet ice tea... but with a grassy scent. And by grassy, I mean the grass on your lawn. Nothing as aromatic as I would have guessed. Just plain, 'ol green grass. Quite strange and not really the best thing I've ever had, but still edible. Anyway, it was still worth a try just to satisfy my curiosity. read more
