How stupid and incompetent do you have to be to not know the difference between 1-2 inches from 9-10 inches! All this girl said to me was "oh! sorry!" Yeah sorry my ass, that's not going to bring back my daughters hair that took years to grow out, she didn't give a hell how much that hurt me and my daughter! This was a big F.U to my face! looks like this teacher hasn't taught her students well enough especially this one who screwed my daughters hair! Screw you guys! Then came back and took a class for advanced photoshop. Each class was $300, but I believe it's considerably more if you are coming from outside of the CPS program PACING: I had never touched any of this software before this school, so there was a huge learning curve for me. But the pacing of the class as well as the more laid back structure made for easy learning. If I had a question, I could expect the instructor to stop what he or she was doing in order to assist. Of course, this same stop-and-help policy is true for everyone. So if you are a photoshop whiz, you might find the constant questions and reviews to be annoying. Luckily, that wasn't me. RESULTS: I consider myself to be very proficient in photoshop now, and it's certainly something I owe to the class, because I do not learn well in online platforms.

I was okay with that though because they had a policy in which you could retake the course again if you didn't retain enough. I was 90% sure I was going to want to do that and that is why I chose DB. This is where I have a problem. Upon conclusion of the course, I requested to be informed of when the course would be retaught, but never heard back. I reached out twice over a six month period. I recently reached out again and they said that a) the policy has changed; and b) i was past my retake timeframe. They offered for me to pay 50% to take it again. What a bait and switch. I learned very little for the time and expense. I do not recommend Digital Bootcamp.

I was so excited looking forward to the class because I knew it would be a great learning experience for me. Nika is one of those rare teachers that does not hold back when she is explaining or teaching you something. She will literally tell you all that she knows. And she doesn't get annoyed by people who ask a million questions (that's me). I'm in a season of my career that I'm trying to take things to the next level, and her class was the perfect class for me to take at the right time. I am a nerdy makeup artist who happens to have an advanced college degree. Nika appeases that side of me because she brings in a lot of her background in the arts when she teaches. She knows a lot about bone structure and color theory and is very knowledgeable about that world and how it translates to makeup. She just doesn't explain the what, she explains the how which, for a person like me, is how I really learn things. Nika is also very honest. Earlier in my career she gave me a very intense critique that gave me a lot to work on and helped to push me farther along on my journey. Nika has inspired me to work on my business plan, website, logo, know my way around legal issues, make quality connections, how to brand myself and to really dream long term about where I want my career to go. She doesn't discourage you but she empowers and encourages you to fulfill your potential. After taking her class, I have enough on my to do list to keep me busy for the next year, at least. And my confidence has increased that the goals and dreams that I have in my heart are actually reachable. She also spills her guts when it comes to her makeup application techniques which is so helpful. A lot of artists may leave out one or two most important steps in their technique that really perfects it. Or they will act like something they are doing is simple and common knowledge and gloss over it, when it is something they had to work to perfect. Not Nika. She is very open and sincerely interested in helping others become better at what they do. She explains her step by step and doesn't hold back on her products that she uses. I called to register and was told by Agnus that they are no longer offering it because the other program filled up so quickly. ($1995.00) The course was still online and basically told me for another $500 dollars I could take the other course? Really? I am already a licensed esthetician and was doing this more for fun. Also, you don't even need a license to do make-up. They charge you more for each class you want to take. Additional charges for airbrush class, theatirical make-up, special effects etc. What a joke!
