I did not expect to leave a medspa feeling genuinely appreciated. Perhaps the last place I went to…read morehad bad energy or something of that nature, but I truly felt loved and seen today. I went in for a consultation where I got to share all my aesthetic insecurities. Despite the vulnerability, I felt empowered to make the right decision for me. Further, my decision was treated with respect which made me feel more confident about moving forward. I ended up getting masseter Botox for my TMJ. My injector made me feel comfortable and even provided me with anxiety relief tools. She was precise, patient, and provided wonderful patient care. Unfortunately, my injector is no longer at this business but I'd be willing to see others who are also qualified and experienced. I also appreciate the complementary 2 week follow up because it alleviates any concerns about possible complications.

Very similar review to the average of those here. It is about half and half. The studio is very…read morebeautiful, everyone is nice, but it is overpriced. I have only had Dysport, nothing else and recently went to an equally if not a better location for similar injectables at the Vancouver waterfront and it was a fraction of the price. You can also find Groupons (then cross check their Yelp reviews) for a fraction of that. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.

She would not look at it up close, look me in the eyes and did not ask any questions about change in severity except to blame that I may not be using enough of her specially compounded treatment. I was in for a follow up and an annual skin check. She had prescribed her name brand compounded gel that she sells for $68 per bottle. She simply acknowledged 2 months plus 8 prior waiting for an appointment is "not too bad." Next step, 6 months of low grade antibiotics, seriously? When doing my skin check she picked up my Harris with the ends of the fingers, like you might if something was dirty or you wanted to not interact with. She clearly has her own fears or issues about germs, bugs, mites etc. as she was grossed out and/or bored by my presence. She did not educate me in any meaningful way, she did not ask one questions except what I do for a living and she left with a student in tow with not even a goodbye or direction for next follow up. Disinterested or above t all? I'm sure she is well educated and her practice is established, she just seems disinterested. She does not seem to need nor want to he doing what she's doing. Sorry to that student who was made to follow her. I hope she will shadow better examples of medical bedside care before she sets out on her own.

They dropped the ball and didn't follow up with anything. No follow up appointments. Just say we can't treat you. For real??!! I waste my time, money and got a scar on my back for nothing. I am so thrilled to be updating this review!…read more Following my initial review, I was contacted by the office manager, Justina, a truly kind person who urged me to come in and have Dr. Rydzik take a look at the scar. I was wary of returning, as, in my experience, I've found that accountability is rare to come by in medical practices (or in the world at large today!). But I can honestly say I am so glad to have been wrong in this instance. Dr. Rydzik acknowledged that an error had been made and told me that the medical assistant who had removed my stitches was receiving further training. She examined my arm and confirmed a keloid had formed due to the stitches being removed too early and she and her medical team provided me with a complimentary laser treatment to reduce the appearance of the scar, in addition to noting that, if future treatments for this scar are needed, those treatments would be complimentary as well. They were warm, reassuring, and really put me at ease. Thank you, Dr. Rydzik, Justina, and Bilkey (I'm so sorry if I'm misspelling your name) and a big thank you as well to the lovely woman who performed the laser on my arm today (so sorry, I'm forgetting your name!). I will continue to return as a patient for my dermatological needs as well as for my aesthetic needs and I will certainly recommend this office to friends, knowing that this is the kind of place where--should a mishap occur, as it can anywhere--the staff genuinely care to make it right.

I have very sensitive skin, which made me skeptical at first, but Josefina guided me through the process and explained all the benefits in detail. Not only am I hair-free, but my skin actually looks so much better than before. I have a darker complexion, and with my skin's sensitivity, almost anything would cause inflammation and hyperpigmentation -- but since starting the treatments, I've noticed my skin is far less irritated and looks noticeably more even-toned. What really sets Josefina apart is her professionalism and genuine care for her clients. She always followed up with me to make sure I was doing well after each session. She and her team are warm, welcoming, and truly wonderful people. On top of all that, the pricing is very reasonable compared to other options out there. I highly recommend Josefina to anyone considering laser hair removal -- especially if you have sensitive skin. You will not regret it!
