Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. I called specifically requesting a deep tissue massage, but was told the available therapist, Noel, did not offer that service. I was instead recommended a therapeutic massage with medium-to-firm pressure. Unfortunately, the pressure was very light and did not address any of the tension or knots I was hoping to work out. I regularly visit spas and have received Swedish massages that were significantly deeper. While Noel was pleasant, the massage simply did not meet my needs, and I left feeling unsatisfied. I was also surprised to learn at checkout that there was an additional charge to use the spa amenities. In my experience, amenities are typically included when booking a treatment. Had I known about the extra fee when I asked about amenities while booking, I could have made a more informed decision. The jacuzzi ended up being the best part of my visit, but I go to a spa primarily for the quality of the massage. Overall, I left feeling that the experience was not worth the cost, and I do not plan to return. It's noon on a Thursday so I got the whole place to myself. The only things I would say needs improvement is none of the lockers had functioning or working keys/locks so I couldn't safely secure my personal items and I had some anxiety about leaving my items in the women's room unsecured. Another issue was the shower faucet took a few minutes to warm up and I wasn't warned about it so I fiddled with it so much at first that I just ended up taking a cold shower. It just would have been a good idea if they just told me how to turn on the faucet and to wait a few minutes for the warm water to kick in, when they gave me the tour. And the button for the body wash kept popping off. So just some minor things need updating. The steam room was fantastic tho! I love the mix of eucalyptus. It really helped my stuffy sinuses. The hot tub is amazing! I love how the seats kinda cradle your butt. I usually have a hard time in hot tubs cuz they push me off the seat. But not with this design! It's wonderfully made and I love the stars and candles. I didn't think it'd use the "cool plunge " but once I realized it wasn't cold it was much needed after over heating myself from the steam room and hot tub. I didn't think I would enjoy the UV room but I actually did! It was very relaxing. The hot tea and snacks are also a bonus. Just a very well done business idea and something I've been looking for. I think the price is more than reasonable for what you're getting. I'll be back! I did mention a couple of my concerns with the staff and it sounds like they do plan on getting new locks in the future so I really hope they live up to that because they have you sign a wavier that basically says they are not liable for stolen items. Listened to my concerns, gave me options and choices. Sent out referrals and the ladies who schedule your follow ups are just great. They had to reschedule a follow up due to schedule changes and they called and were accommodating and apologetic for the inconvenience. Overall I found that if you come in with a good attitude everyone there is truly doing the best they can to make your experience as easy as possible.

I explained to Houda that I have dry, sensitive skin and am on tretinoin, which further sensitizes skin. Certain ingredients don't mix well with tretinoin and if you're doing a peel, micro needling, etc you have to stop tret use for several days leading up to treatment. During my facial, she applied a salicylic acid mask that immediately burned my skin, to the point that my eyes were watering and it was unbearable to leave on longer than about a minute or two. By the time I got home, my skin was bright red, like a bad sunburn. By 10/11, my skin was peeling off in chunks. I emailed Houda and she replied some dryness and tightness is normal. I am now 4 days out and my entire face is still peeling in large pieces. If I was there for peel, that'd be ok, but I just went for a facial and had no intention of getting a peel and it was never discussed. Houda's response to my concerns has felt a bit dismissive and told me this is a normal reaction. If that's the case, I wish the communication had been better- I had no idea she was going to use a product that'd cause my face to peel intensely for days on end. After looking into the product used, it is not intended to cause peeling. It seems like this product shouldn't have been used on sensitive skin or on a client using tretinoin. The manufacturer of the product advised me to see a doctor regarding this reaction. Based on other reviews I know Houda can do great work, unfortunately I don't think this is a good option for people with sensitive skin looking for a facial.

Houda also does tattoo removal - for people who lacked the good judgement not to get dolphins and Garfield that Cat tatted to their ankles back in the 80's. The salon is gorgeous and she works Tuesday - Saturday: 10 am - 6:30 pm and her prices are lower than other salons that I'd checked out. If you want to get rid of some cherry moles or ridiculous tattoos (that your mother warned you not to get), give her a call.
