Her heart will always be here :-) Lessons learned some much more than dance (which training is superb) but lessons that last a lifetime; such as discipline, respect for others and themselves. They don't fit children into suitable lessons that fit their ability, they give feedback and criticism to young girls - that parents should ultimately be receiving, and it sets young girls up to fight their image from the start. WRONG. They reject new business and incoming families, and their customer service is disgusting and outrageous taking days to follow up with families and parents. Just because you sit in Barrington doesn't mean you bluntly ignore incoming business or families that want to pay for their children to dance and obtain a suitable dance education. This woman named Risa is a horrible individual - she is ignorant and dismissive; I would not have someone like this running my business or following up with families to any degree. If you're looking for good development go to Denise Sabala or Dance Project! Don't set your children up for failure or disappointment as they age!

Our daughter started with Trilogy a year ago and we plan to stay a part of the Trilogy family for as long as my daughters little legs can dance! Not only is the owner a sweetheart, but they encourage children to dance their little hearts out and do it with incredible technique, strong will, and passion. The shows and competitions are magnificent honestly. Music is well thought out and the children look so happy dancing. The time put in by the entire crew (dancers, teachers, extra help and parents ) shows in the quality of performance. There is a difference between this dance school and your basic park district dance class. Nothing wrong with either but Trilogy definitely takes their quality of dance seriously. They teach the children responsibility that the children can take with them outside of dance and into their everyday lives as they grow. Not to mention how ADORABLE these dancers are!

I spent $540 (full price) on her classes for the September to May class and was never informed that she cannot participate in the Recital and subsequently was not learning the dance "properly" on Zoom; however my card was eagerly charged on the first day of each month. I was also never contacted and asked if my Zoom student wants to participate in the recital. I reached out and informed Trilogy 3 weeks in advance that she will be participating (could have used any basic yellow outfit since hers was sold out), but was told "No" since it would not "match" the other kids ( I mean who really cares! - these are 4-7 year olds!). During some classes she was not let in due to technical difficulties on their end (!) and I was never credited or refunded any fees. Had to call multiple times for any issues to be addressed. Will not be returning and subjecting my kid to this program ever again and would not recommend this dance school. They do not care for their dancers at all.

I hosted an Intro to Aerial class for my Meetup group at Flight Fitness on 07/23. We were given the…read moreoption of trying silks, hoops or hammocks, and the majority voted for silks. Michelle was very patient with our group, and helped us maneuver around the unknown of aerial fitness. The studio is split in two: one side for aerial fitness, and the other for poles (both are offered in 8 week packages). The studio also hosts various other classes such as women's self defense and hula hooping. The workout was definitely challenging, but we all had so much fun! I highly recommend this studio for anyone interested in trying aerial fitness or pole classes!

I initially wanted to sign up for an aerial yoga class, but was prompted to take a "beginner" pole…read moreclass instead because it started sooner. It turned out the class was a Beginner II rather than an intro, and the instructor was more of a demonstrator than a teacher. Despite struggling, I still enjoyed the class enough to sign up for a second session. That session was oversold, as the only pole available had a huge floor flaw that was TAPED over. Over the course of the class, the tape and adhesive became tackier and eventually ruined the shoes I was wearing for the first time. This resulted in my shoes literally sticking to the floor, so I couldn't complete a move and ended up painfully smashing my knees against the edge of the pole base, resulting in bruises on both. Despite being oversold and unsafe, the studio refuses to refund my session fee. I had two credits from signing up for the first session, and I asked for a refund after the 2nd class of the 2nd session. I should have my entire fee refunded, but they took two weeks to write me back and let me know that because the semi-present instructor didn't know I was in pain, they are going to KEEP MY MONEY?!?! The instructor saw me trying to remove the tape and goo from my shoes, but they are literally going to try to weasel out of being accountable with this. They should refund me for my session, replace my shoes, and acknowledge that their studio is UNSAFE, their classes are oversold, and their practices are shady. Really disgusted by the entire experience, it's a shameful way to run a business, and the lack of concern and support is negligent and irresponsible.

Midtown Athletic Club is truly more than just a fitness club--it's a community. From the moment you…read morewalk through the doors, you're welcomed by friendly, personable people who genuinely care about getting to know you and supporting your goals. Upon entering, Holly and the front desk team consistently greet you with a smile, and their positivity radiates. The instructors and trainers are exceptional; they bring so much knowledge, energy, encouragement, and personality to everything they do. Whether you're taking your favorite yoga or barre class (thank you Olga and Christine!), working with a trainer (Deanna is the best!), or are simply looking for motivation, there is always someone there to help you feel supported and challenged in the best possible way. People are encouraging, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see one another. And, it starts the minute you schedule your tour of the facility to see what the club has to offer. My husband and I weren't sure we were going to join, but after spending quality time with Gabi, we were sold. She asked thoughtful questions about our fitness journey and goals, while also making us feel like we were talking to a friend we had known for forever. We knew that showing up and staying committed to our fitness journey was something we were actually going to look forward to, and we weren't wrong! In addition to the exceptional staff, Midtown is a beautiful facility with wonderful amenities. Make sure to schedule a massage with Vanina, and take advantage of the resort like feel of the pools, hot tub, sauna and steam room after a long workout. Grab a meal, get work done in the library between classes, or lounge with a drink in your hand- whatever you're feeling, it's an option! Midtown is a wonderful place to pursue your fitness goals, grow stronger, and become part of a community that wants to see you succeed!

This summer (as compared to summer 2025) the pool has been a park district experience and not "luxury" or "spa like". From Memorial Day to July 30th the water was cloudy (you could barely see the lap lines on the deep end) with green algae growing on the walls. I brought it to management's attention and they assured me it was safe to swim because they did a "chemical shock" at night. Finally they shut it down for a couple days and fixed whatever the problem was. Kids are going to be at the pool in summertime, I get that! But...there are kids running, screaming and crying from 10:00 on throughout the day with pool toys from home strewn about the deck and pool ledge. Outside food is not allowed, but I've seen families bring in literal picnic baskets and no one says a word. Food dropped or left all over and birds swooping in to pick it up. Gross. One time I was swimming laps and tweens hopped into the adult lap lane next to me and started their own private noodle fight. I was getting inadvertently sacked with noodles and leg kicks while I lapped. Lifeguards just sat there. Underage kids are always in the women's locker room. Always. I brought it to management's attention, but there's been no change. I didn't realize a mom and her three kids had walked in and were in the same area as me and when I turned around to get on my suit a ten year old boy's eyes almost popped out of his head. Ughhhhh! The class schedule is great with a ton of variety for all fitness levels, IF you can workout during the mornings (6-noon). If you can only go at night, there's potentially a single class in the afternoon (4:30/5 start time) for moderate athletes. No barre, yoga or Pilates mat offered at that time on any weekday. I have not brought that up with management because all other issues I've brought to their attention were ignored.
