I loved Studio Phoniex and highly highly recommend if you don't mind sharing a pole (not always, but more often then not) and occasionally making room for the people choosing to "make up" missing their class, during your class time. That is the ONE and ONLY reason I left. Just because I, personally, do not like to share, doesn't mean everyone else feels that way. My selfishness in pole sharing is on me, and does not affect how I truly feel about the company overall. Jenni (the owner) is one of the most amazing woman I have ever met. The level of compassion she has is rare, and 1 of her many traits that makes her so unique. She respects and literally loves every student she has, and treats you like family the second she meets you. I still plan on signing up for workshops because I will miss the studio too much, to not go back once in a while. Sarah (my 1st Instructor) is my girl! She is as real as real gets. She is so cool, goofy, and just goes with the flow. One of the few people who can control my ADD without me even realizing it. God bless her patience, and something I truly envy about her. I left my original review in April of 2016 after a 1 time fundamentals style introductory class and my first 8 week session. I originally stated that after 3 months the studio changed my life. Now, 3 and a half YEARS of training pole and flexibility at Studio Phoenix I cant truly say that SP has changed my life. This would not be true of just ANY studio. The owner, Jenni, and her crew of fabulous, nurturing, supportive and talented instructors have designed, implemented and MAINTAINED a fitness community unlike any other I have encountered. When you walk into the studio you are welcomed by women laughing together, trading tips and showing each other their bruises (pole kisses) with pride. Even when I walk into the studio on a bad day, it is nearly impossible for me to leave without smiling because I am feeling accomplished, excited and proud of myself. I've been taking classes here for about 7 months. I signed up as a present to myself, wanting to do something that helped me feel good about what my body could do instead of going to a gym and focusing on why I wanted my body to look different. I'm happy to say that in my short time here, I've not only literally jumped with joy about being able to do a move for the first time, I've seen my muscles grow, and I've found a lot more confidence in my the way my body looks. My instructors have all been great, and all of the girls in my class have been supportive. It's a great environment where the girls are constantly lifting each other up, and motivating me by showing me all the badass things that they can do. This place is AWESOME!!! The instructors are very knowledgable and friendly. Always willing to help you and teach you. If you need to be shown a move over and over again, they will take the time to do it because they want to see you succeed and do well and progress onto the next level. It is very rewarding and empowering to do pole and see the improvements over time. Even if they are little things. My self esteem and self confidence are better than they have ever been. And I see myself getting stronger each time I come to class. This is a very friend;y environment to be in. Negative comments and attitudes are not accepted. Studio Phoenix is amazing. This is my happy place. I've been dancing at Studio Phoenix since 2014. It's a wonderful place where women uplift other women. You go in there wanting a workout and you leave with new friends with EVERY class you take. The instructors and students are some of my best friends. If you ever have a bad day, GO HERE! I just took the pole teaser class and had a BLAST! The instructors were so nice ( and very skilled!!) and did a great job of breaking down the moves. The class was perfect for all levels of fitness, anyone can come and have fun! Almost all of my class had never done pole before and every single person was able to do the routine at the end! The instructor also showed us some extremely advanced moves and it was so amazing to watch. I would highly reccomend Studio Phoenix for a fun night out! The class times are very convenient too for people who work a 9-5. I will be returning as they have fun classes for improving flexibility and a conditioning class as well. When my friend approached me about doing a teaser class I thought it was just something we would say " that would be so fun!" and then never do it. She found Studio Phoenix near our place in the burbs and we did the teaser not once but twice! This place has the best girls and the best vibe you can ask for. I was a bit worried about my ability and if I would enjoy learning something so new to me. Being in small classes (mine was 6 girls) has made all the difference. WOW! So let me tell you something about Studio Phoenix... They are so great at teaching someone who has two left feet on how to twirl and do a semblance of a wonderful dance routine. The staff there is really encouraging and friendly, and will really work with you to meet you where you are at fitness wise. Also, no need to feel intimidated here; It's an empowering environment home to all ages and body types. I can't recommend this place enough. I have no history of any sort of dance in my background, but have absolutely fallen in love with pole. I recently found Studio Phoenix online and decided to try out one of their intro classes. I have been intrigued by pole aerobics ever since it started getting popular. Now that I've seen it first hand, I know exactly why... it is an amazing work out and it is so much fun! And the women who run this place are awesome. They were so nice and inviting. I am just finishing my first pole session, and I love it! The people here are so welcoming, and the workouts are fantastic! Each instructor has a slightly different style, but they're all really great. I am training for a 15k, and I was just trying something new to help build strength on my non-running days. Now I'm hooked. My muscles have grown, and the classes honestly make you feel beautiful. You will see a trick performed, and you will think you cannot do it but then you do. I have taken one session now here at studio Phoenix. I am so pleased with the staff and how they welcome you with open arms. There are no judgements made here even by any of the students. I just finished my first pole dance series at Studio Phoenix and I loved it! I had the opportunity to work with a few instructors at the studio and everyone thus far has been great. All the instructors are very nice, knowledgable, and talented. Definitely people worth learning from. I was also really impressed with the studio itself, it's very nice! As for the classes themselves, in addition to pole dance being an excellent workout, it's also really fun! Studio Phoenix is my literal happy place. I've been attending classes here for over a year now and there is nothing but love and support within these walls. As a grad student I rarely have time to do anything for myself, but I strive to be at class EVERY week. My instructor Anna is a ray of sunshine, along with the other instructors who I get to meet with on occasion. To be honest, I was nervous about trying one of these classes. I never thought of myself as oozing with sex appeal, so I was afraid of having to make an attempt in front of complete strangers. But once I got there, it was very easy to see that the women who own this studio are very kind and professional.
