I've never had a great experience here. We went for a free trial for a kids gymnastics class, and…read morethe teacher was short of patience and crabby. The 'open gym' on Friday nights is an absolute madhouse that brings out the worst kids/teens the area has to offer. There is zero security or supervision, the pre teens are foul mouthed and rude, and no-one does anything about unruly guests (drunk (drugged?) guy in the lobby for 2 hours swearing, harassing people, talking REALLY inappropriately to kids around him) and was only asked to leave right before close. If you bring your kids to open gym, I would stay with them, but fully expect they're going to bring home a few choice phrases like mine did. Thanks drunk guy. I imagine the bulk of the attention they give anyone here are the girls/parents that pay for gymnastics classes, which makes sense, and that the other 'activities' they offer are simply money grabs.

Just take a factory building and fill it with equipment and other stuff. And you know, it works! Kids have fun at BDay parties jumping into a foam pit, and more. Also kids get the chance to use the Olympic stuff too- uneven bars, beam, vault, and of course, the spring mat! My daughter loves it here for the bday parties because she says "You can do whatever you want. Like jumping on the trampoline, doing flips on the uneven bars, Back bends on the on the floor, and running and twisting on the vault. You name it, you can do it as long as it's safe!" I've also noticed men's Olympic stuff towards the back. My daughter said the men's stuff is fun and cool, but she prefers the woman's more, as what I know of. There's also a swinging rope. All the kids wait in a line to swing back and forth of a rope attached to the ceiling. It's safe, because it's attached to a ton of stuff to hold it. I even tried it! It was pretty fun!! On the spring mat, it's a different story! A TON of stuff to do! Of course, you can just do the basic gymnastic stuff. But there is also stuff you can sit in and be rolled around in! The bars are really fun! I enjoyed Firehouse and will continue to come for years!

Being a past gymnast myself, it was nice to see good equipment and teachers letting little kids use it (carefully). They also have a toddler section where little ones spent most of their time. My son loved it there, however was at times he would get bored because some little kids who didn't want to participate were essentially wasting other kids time/turns. It wasn't the kids fault by any means, the teachers just didn't handle tantrums and bad attitude very well. Instead of letting those who don't want to participate sit out, they spend more individual one-on-one time with that kid, while other just waited their turn. Which was not fair to the other kids who were ready go and their thing. Thankfully this didn't happen too often. But when it did, it was very annoying to see. Another major gripe I have with flips is the location of their changing area. It's located right next to the main lobby, with doors that open directly to the outside. The dressing space is pretty tiny, and when one group finishes class and goes to change while the next group arrives to change for their class, there is literally no place to stand. And then, little kids have to walk by the exit doors in order to get to the gym area, which is always in use because people leave and enter all the time. So when it's winter time and freezing temps, barefoot and leotard clad little kids are very cold having to walk by the open doors and then stand in the lobby (10 feet away) waiting for their teacher to come get them for their class! Aside from these two negatives (for me), it's really a very accommodating and fun place for little kids to develop their physical abilities.

On the first day, one of the ladies in the office was really hospitable and showed us around. I also got to meet the owner that day, who I had seen out around the community. I was most impressed with the coaches: Nolan, Isaiah, and others. Coach Nolan often stood at the gym door welcoming the students at drop-off and then again at the end of the day with keeping tabs with pick-up. He was always friendly and helpful, often encouraging the kids. They were also detail-oriented in the office, calling the first day to get any remaining forms signed. They also called one day when my son was a little scared after getting a very minimal bloody lip. They just wanted to make me aware, and then they sat with him and encouraged him to keep at it. Pretty impressive that that was the only thing he had when basically doing a 30 hr ninja camp. My son definitely loved the camp. After 6 hours each day, he was drenched in sweat at pick-up and slept hard every night! Thanks for making it a great experience for him and for us! I always felt like he was in good hands.

From the coaches, to the assistants, to all the staff, you'll find nothing but encouragement, smiles, and great service and support. I would definitely recommend you stop by and see for yourself.
