DenCo's quality is a level above and their pricing was transparent. I don't write reviews but wanted to get the word out. There are many fence companies out there, but these guys are true pros. Note - if you use Denco, get on their calendar early. They are known to be good and - of course - are in demand. While it seems obvious, I'd be skeptical of any company that can do work immediately.....it's the same reason why people stand in line for good sushi on Pearl Street or ice cream at Bonnie Brae. They were very responsive when we first inquired about automating our existing gate and while they were booked out almost a month before they could start (which now makes sense due to the great work they do), it was worth the wait. Unfortunately, our existing gate ended up needing to be replaced to optimize the automation of it, so Preston's team was able to pivot and add building a gate to the plan and did everything within three days of work. Corey provided an accurate estimate to replace a 35-foot section of older 6-foot high fencing that had become unstable. After Corey found the first available spot on Denco's schedule, Alfredo and Juan removed all of the older fencing and installed the new cedar privacy fencing with cap and trim in under four hours. I was told my fence would probably be done by Thanksgiving. I have been waiting weeks for someone to schedule a fence installation. No one returns my calls or emails. So, so frustrating! We have used Denco for two projects now, and are working on a third. Taj has been great at communication, and the team installing the fence is efficient. They provided everything we needed to get the approval of our HOA, which can be a pain but Taj made it easy for us to get this hurdle cleared and then they were respectful of our property and our neighbors when installing the fence. Although the project was delayed due to our schedule, then came the snow and below zero weather (what you expect for winter in Colorado), Corey was in frequent contact with us and, when the weather began to cooperate, we were immediately put on the calendar. The project took a day and a half, with the workers putting in a long first day. The workers were courteous, respectful of property (ours and the neighbors), left the area clean, were on-time, and efficient. We obtained several bids and, although Denco was not the lowest, they were within our budget. The decision came down to personality, product and professionalism. I'd give zero stars, if possible. Fence on my residential property was supposed to be installed on 8/17 or 8/18. There was a delay with poor (aka NO) communication and fence install didn't happen until 8/25. When the fence installation took place, the crew left without finishing the crappy job - there was no caps on the posts, no gates, the fence was crooked, and there was absolutely no communication that they were leaving with the job partially completed. This was dangerous as we have dogs and children that could have seriously injuries themselves on the sharp metal posts. Gates weren't installed until 9/8 and this was after almost a week of us hearing "it will be tomorrow...it will be tomorrow." Oh, and that crooked fence? That was repaired on 9/25. Almost a month after the initial job. The team also installed the gates to open right into our sprinkler head - that wasn't changed until 11/23. 3 MONTHS LATER! This entire experience has been miserable, long and drawn out, expensive, and I high advise you run, quickly, in the other direction to any other fence company. After expressing issues to our contact person at the fence company after the install in September. He said he would give us $200 dollars off. The entire job was several thousands of dollars, lots of angry phone calls, headaches, and poor quality work - $200 is nothing and almost insulting. This invoice should have been significantly reduced and communication should have been improved. There is no excuse for this type of service when you charge this much. I hope our neighbors saw our crooked fence with your name on it so that they know what poor quality work you provide. I work in customer service and if I ever treated my customers and provided a poor quality service like this I wouldn't have any. Shame on you. read more

Denco fence is exactly the reason why I use Yelp and the reason why I feel the need to post this review. For most of us that use Yelp it's to help avoid the hassle of endless unanswered phone calls, emails and missed deadlines by businesses that are less than dependable. Despite what you might read on Yelp that was exactly my experience with Denco fence. Frankly, the quickest response I received from them was after I informed them that I was going online to voice my displeasure. I sent an email to their website requesting an estimate, four days later I received an automated email that I was on their radar, but no date for an estimate. They did contact me within a few days and set up an estimate for nine days later, basically two weeks from the time I contacted them originally. On the day of the estimate, August 13th, I met Corey in person and I had an existing estimate that all he had to do was a take a picture of as it had all of the measurements and materials already spec'd out. This was a Thursday and he told me I should see the estimate by the following Monday or Tuesday, a week later with still no estimate I call the office and am told that there is no paperwork for my estimate, somebody will reach out to me. I hear nothing until I finally send Corey a text message on August 27 asking about my estimate, the response I receive is that this is "not how they normally do business", but that they have lost all of my paperwork and will have to come back out. At this point I reply and tell them to forget it I would have to be out of my mind to work with them and that I will be posting my experience online, at which point I was immediately called. In Corey's defense he said he had a family issue and was out of the office, while I'm sympathetic, I'm also a small business owner myself and I know that to ignore customers is to lose customers. Corey was very apologetic and wanted to make it right but it was actually more frustrating to receive zero communication and then once I said I was going to post my experience I receive promises of estimates that will be done today, why would I believe them at this point? Furthermore, it was stated repeatedly that a bad review would be really detrimental for them. It was clear that the overriding motivation had less to do with me as a customer and was more to do with keeping their (in my opinion, highly inflated) Yelp rating intact. Maybe their work is great, but the hassle of trying to get them to do the simplest of tasks, return phone calls and emails and provide estimates is mind numbingly painful. If you have plenty of time, don't mind being ignored, and want to be promised a lot while delivering nothing then by all means Denco fence is for you. read more

Zero percent recommend this business. Brandon does a great job of being friendly in the beginning until you sign your contract then the communication stops. Didn't show up once to supervise his crew or check in on the project. My other contractor was here at the start of his project...a status check during... and showed up after to make sure I was happy. I should mention he also looked at their fence and said they did a crappy job. I called Brandon and he acted like I was this massive inconvenience to him the entire time. The fence was crooked which I very nicely pointed out because I look down on it from my kitchen window and can see clearly it was crooked and after calling Brandon, instead of fixing the fence, they moved the door....twice... finally got them to fix that. The fence was split it multiple places and they just left. Had to call on that. Gaps all over the place...to where I was told that's normal. It's normal to see what my neighbors are doing through my fence? If thats the case I would have saved a lot of money and kept the chain link fence that was there! They went all the way down to the ground in some areas and not in others so with a small dog I had to ask them to please add boards. After mentioning my frustrations to Brandon not only about his crew but his communication he said he would take $100 off my stain then just never charged me for it so I thought that was his consolation prize for a subpar install and his lack of professionalism throughout. THEN the icing on the cake was turning my sprinkler system back on when it warmed up only to find out his fence guys CUT my sprinkler line. After calling them I was able to speak to the owner of the company Preston who was nice enough. I told him I would give him the quote of what it would be to reroute the line since I now have a brand new concrete slab on the other side that was causing me to reroute to the other side of the house - he offered to pay for it....THEN I get a bill immediately after for the stain that happened MONTHS ago! Are you kidding me? I text Brandon a couple weeks later saying the sprinkler company was delayed a bit but I should have numbers to him soon and of course I never heard back so I decided a bad review was better than trying to collect anything from these folks. The gentleman said it would be a few days before we received the estimate. Tried to follow up with him last week to no response. When you read reviews, take them all in as this easily could've been avoided as it sounds like others have had this issue with this company. Sounds like it's pretty hit or miss. At first, we were well assisted and we got our fence done. However, the post where the gate is attached has now split where the screws were inserted. The gate is hanging by its bottom hinge. In addition, we were told to wait three weeks until our fence had dried to stain the fence. Approximately five weeks after the fence was put in, we began contacting the company to plan for staining the fence. After leaving two emails, a couple of texts and a voice mail wherein the receptionist took detailed notes, we still have not heard back from them. We were told the person with whom we should speak was busy at a site and would call us back. Here we are, three business days later, starting another period without being contacted. They had to come over a couple of days instead of the promised one day because they mixed up orders and brought the wrong supplies to our house. Denco Fence just completed our cedar fence replacement and they did a great job. We had 350 linear feet of fence with lots of grade change and lots of landscape rock to work around. They made sure to pull all landscape rock back before demo and then added additional reinforcement to the fence to ensure the rock didn't damage it down the road. Denco was also very fast with the project; from demo to completion it only took them 4 days. Glad they were able to get it done quickly which made things very smooth with the neighbors on both sides.
