They both do amazing work, and the atmosphere in this shop is very comfortable and inviting. You feel right at home when you walk in. Steve is always willing to hear ideas and give an honest opinion- no "whatever you want, wherever you want it" crap. If he loves your design idea he'll share his enthusiasm to get started. If he thinks it would be better in a different spot or with a different approach, he'll be blunt and tell you how it is. You can trust that his main goal is to be sure you walk away in love with your new ink, and I'm so glad I listened to him about the placement of my first tattoo! As for specialty- look at his portfolio! He does amazing detail and line work and his coloring is spectacular. Going back in a few months (he books fast!) to get another and I can't wait to see what he comes up with. This is the only place I recommend for tattoos to everyone who asks!

Got a very rude and disrespectful response back because he "was stressed and sick of people trying to low ball"In my opinion regardless of the day you are having you shouldn't be rude to your costumers paying for your work and leaving them high and dry with a half done tattoo! during the tattoo session this fella did not stop talking about his flat earth theory's and will not let you change the topic. Would of been a solid tattoo if I had a different artist and different establishment all together... no idea how this guy remains in business. Best bets going out of town if you are in brantford. Value Honestly if I could give this place a negative star…read morerating right now I really would. I'm super unimpressed with Kevin Polanski right now. One of his apprentices has done 4 other tattoos for me, absolutely wonderful, well done, professional, clean, all around good experiences with the apprentice. Now tonight I had one pretty fucked up experience to say the least. So we get off to a good start and Kevin is in the back sizing my photo and getting it ready and whatnot. After about 20 minutes he came back with it and we're ready to fully set up. Now it took almost a full hour for this man to set up. He kept stopping to tell us all about his conspiracy theories and how 'people are stupid and need to wake the fuck up'. Now this man, and I shit you not proceeded the entire time from him setting up to him finishing the tattoo to let us know that space isn't real and the world is a flat container that does nothing but build pressure. He told us black and Asian and white people are all aliens and just came from different places to migrate to earth and tons of other completely whack things. I am baffled at how unprofessional this whole situation was. After about an hour and a half (he should have been done by then) his next appointment walked through the door. Well thanks to this next customer Kevin decided I was no longer important and thought he should rush through my tattoo. I am left with raunchy line work, shotty OUT OF THE LINES colouring, a whole lot of uneven spots and out $250 for something that is NOT EVEN FINISHED !!! This is ridiculous, I've seen some amazing work come from him so please tell me why I got such a shit end of the stick?? I was very polite even when his gun broke half way through. I would never reccomend Distinktive to anyone again. This place was great a few years ago but it's absolute TRASH right now. I don't see things getting any better any time soon. Basically fuck this place.
