Hansen Plumbing & Mechanical - Installed Hot Water Heater

I was having some work done in my basement and needed to have my hot water heater moved and the…read morecompany doing the work, recommended Hansen. I'm glad that they did, because being new to the Riverbend area I may not have found him on my own. Plumber Dan is a one man show, so be patient. He's not only the plumber, he's the receptionist and bookkeeper, too. He'll get it all done and do a great job, too. When I first called Hansen, I got a voicemail, so I left a message. I explained what I needed done and left my number. I didn't get an immediate call back, but it wasn't an emergency and we were going into a week-end. When I did hear from Dan, it was via text. They were, professional and complete sentences with no abbreviations. I thought it was odd, but once I learned he was a one man show, it made sense. Anyway, I answered his questions, took the pictures he quested and sent them back. He responded quickly and scheduled an appointment. The day he came to do the work, he was prompt and efficient. After moving my water heater, he explained some things to me. He didn't do a hard-sell, but he informed me that mine was 29 years old and when he moved it back after my other basement work was completed, it may not work. I listened and I knew 29 years for a water heater was a long life and I better get a new one. Once my basement work was completed, Dan was quick to get my new hot water installed. A man can only live so many days without hot water. Again, he was right on time and the installation went as smooth as silk. Once they got my old water heater out of the basement and loaded in the truck for disposal, it was obvious I needed a new heater. Dan is a great plumber. He's the one I'll be calling the next time I need one.

Dan quickly returned my phone call and was able to be on-site within 30 minutes. Truly wonderful! Hansens quickly diagnosed the problem, talked me through the issue and the fix, and got everything sorted out in under an hour. Would definitely call Hansen Plumbing again.

From start to finish, my experience with Cardinal Plumbing was outstanding. I began by getting…read moreseveral quotes for replacing my old tank-style water heater with a new Navien 240A-2, and James from Cardinal immediately stood out. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and thorough--he offered more insight than anyone else I spoke with. His professionalism alone made choosing Cardinal an easy decision. When installation day arrived, I received helpful notifications letting me know exactly when the team would show up. Zach White and Logan Mossman arrived right on time, and both of them were so polite and thoughtful. They slipped on boot covers the moment they walked in and took the time to really listen to what I wanted. I asked that the HALO ION-6 be installed on the main line so the whole house would benefit, and they understood immediately why that mattered. They also worked with me on how the gas line should be routed, and they handled every detail exactly as I requested. Their workmanship was truly impressive--clean, tidy, and so well-organized. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Even better, they kept the mood light and fun, singing along to "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" while they worked, which made the whole experience feel surprisingly enjoyable. Everything was done professionally, beautifully, and with genuine care. I'd give Cardinal Plumbing a 5/5 without hesitation, and I'll absolutely be using them again. Highly recommended!

Horrible experience. Had a toilet leak that leaked into our kitchen. Thomas arrived and was very…read morepolite. He took a picture of the hole in the ceiling then a picture of the toilet upstairs. He told my husband it would be $360 to remove the toilet to see what was wrong. My husband specifically asked ok so if you remove the toilet do nothing and put it back it will be $360. Thomas said yes. He said if he had to replace the flange it would be a little over $900. My husband asked him to leave. The "service" call included no service. He only took 2 pictures and did nothing else. The service call was $70. So we basically paid for him to ring the door bell and take pictures. No diagnostics done. I called the company and the manager called me and said he wanted a mutual resolution. He offered nothing but an explanation of how much his truck cost and his overhead which is why we had to pay the "service" fee even though they did absolutely nothing but take pictures. He must have "explained" his overhead to me 5 times and thought what his plumber did was acceptable. Called a different plumber. He came out and fixed the problem in 30 minutes for $175 all included. Under no circumstances would I use this company. They are not honest and definitely over charge. BEWARE
