I've been going to the salon for 4 years and love my nails when I leave but unfortunately the last three months my gel manicures have barely lasted a week and a half. I am not one to complain but this past time my gel pedicure didn't last a full week. I came back and asked for a polish change since i had 4.5 toes left with polish and was charged 27 dollars for a polish change. It's very disappointing to be a loyal customer and feel taken advantage of. I will give one more chance before I switch salons. read more

I only come to this nail salon for Kate. I wanted a manicure before an event and was considering getting polish which I never do. Kate is not available on Saturday so she scheduled me with Ivy. My appointment was for 11:30am and she did not start my manicure until 11:45am. I politely asked if I could get a dip manicure instead of the regular manicure I scheduled and she was not able to because of her next client. I understand appointments are made for a reason and the type of service determines the length of time. What really angers me is that Ivy was 15 minutes late for my appointment. If she was running late because of another client please be professional and let me know. My girl Kate is out for a while so I'm going to the Deluxe Nails closer to my house. It has been a while since I've been to this salon so I decided to stop in. My friend stated she has been happy here. I had asked for a French Manicure with dip powder. I was told that the technician available can do pink powder and paint the white tip. I agreed, since It appeared she was the only one available and I just walked in. Moments later I was handed off to another technician and was told she could do the pink and white. I sat down at her station and she proceeded to remove the current dip on my nails. After wrapping my nails she got up and stated it will be a couple of minutes. I sat there for close to ten minutes. I had to ask if my technician was returning for the solution started to burn. The receptionist matter of factory mentioned i a while for them to soak. When I told her I've been sitting there for over five minutes she proceeded to stated how it can take up to 25 minutes. Granted I'm not a nail professional but over the years of having the dip AND the gel polish, I have never sat for 25 minutes while my nails soaked. I was bit offended as another customer pointed out I was sitting there longer than five minutes. I asked if she ever soaked for 25 minutes and she said no. Fine okay. So as another technician came to look at my nails (I believe the owner) she says how some customers like to soak longer blah blah and then my technician came back. After that whole ordeal guess what she wasn't able to do? The French with the white and pink powder. I blame myself for I should have clarified what she was going to do. Out of seven technicians, not a single one was able to do a French style with both white and pink dip powder. Needless to say I won't be going back. read more

Mullica Hill Deluxe Nail I was humiliated and made to feel like a counterfeiter! My senior citizen mother left me with old $100 dollar bills. They refused to take it and held the bill up to the light and loudly said " It doesn't have the line" They refused to accept my $100. I told them I wasn't prepared to pay any other way. So I walked out to go to my bank and get smaller bills. A man followed me and escorted me to their bank. I was told my $100 was good and given 5, $20's. They made me feel as if I was walking out and NOT going to pay!!!! I was a "good", regular, every 2 week customer! Not anymore!!! Going to find another nail salon. read more

I had a 12:15pm appointment. I arrived at 12:10. Signed in. Was greeted and checked in. Sat and waited to be walked back for 15 minutes. Finally walked back up to the front desk to be told they forgot about me. While I'm standing there a lady and her daughter walk in without an appointment and were helped right away. Only after bringing it again to their attention, I was walked back to my chair and sat for 30 minutes without being helped, so I left. I won't be back. Terrible customer service. I typically go to the deluxe nails in Deptford, even though there are other places nearer to my home, Deluxe has always been the best. So, when I realized the nail place by my favorite coffee shop (ok only coffee shop nearby) was a Deluxe, I stopped in. The place is lovely as is the other location. Bright, large and nicely styled. There was no wait, I chose my opi gel and went right to the chair. The girl was nice, but Deluxe has an unusual habit of using a cheaper gel for a first coat of color then they apply yours. They also sometimes employ the I'll paint two fingers on this hand, two on this hand, one on this hand...the constant changing in and out of the lights make me look like I'm speaking American Sign Language or telling Jimmy Rollins to bunt. My polish chipped in 4 days. The waxing was also an interesting adventure. I left covered in peppermint cooling cream yet also still covered in wax. Parking seemed fine in this mini strip mall. They also honored my loyalty card from Deptford and refund the $1 surcharge for the ATM. I'll go back, but just 1-2 more times before I avoid this location. read more

This place is great.. almost too great. Very upscale and in a great location. I love the environment but there are sooo many girls doing nails and so many customers that I really didn't feel "safe" since covid is lingering around. We all wore masks and there were dividers everywhere but how much social distance can you do if there are 30 customers in a small salon? The girl did a great job with my nails - don't remember her name. She left the acetone on a little too long which hurt my nails but I doubt she did it on purpose. read more

Stopped in to have 2 different wax services. My total was $14. I made sure to bring cash for tip but was rudely told that the credit card minimum was $14 and next time I should really remember. I don't get these places that can mandate cash. I've been to many where the minimum is 10 and tips are preferred in cash but this was ridiculous. I have been trying to use a gift certificate that I received from my students in MAY for this nail salon. On two separate occasions (in June and today), I have been denied service. Receptionists are extremely rude, telling me in June when I called to make an appointment that there were "none available for the rest of the week". How is that possible? I figured making an appointment wasn't the way to go after having trouble the first time around, so I decide to walk-in today (which I do at every other nail salon in the area). When I walked into the salon, I was not greeted by the receptionists at all. They were having side conversations for a solid minute and a half before attending to me. When I said I was interested in getting a pedicure and gel manicure the one receptionist said "Yeah sure", turned around and then said "Oh well did you make an appointment?". Her rude tone made me feel as though appointments are the only way to get in this salon. When I said no she said there were none available for the rest of the day. On a Wednesday during the middle of the day. With my work starting back up soon, I have no clue when I will even be able to use this gift card I have. Completely unprofessional!!! They should have a better grip on the flow of customers they get daily from the looks of it. Maybe training your receptionists customer service would be nice as well. read more

We arrived 10 minutes before our appointment time and the receptionist said "I know you had appointments but there's still gonna be a wait of about 20-30 minutes." Well we usually like going to get dip polish at deluxe nail and spa. Peter and Haily always do such a great job. But the past two times we have gone , we had two different girls. They we're awful!!! They we're rude and purposely cut me with the nail buffer. She was so rude and rolled her eyes and spoke to the other girl sitting next to her. It was an Awful experience, and we are not going back. Came here right before an event to get a manicure and pedicure. I selected this salon because it was closest to my house, but I was pleasantly surprised to walk in to see welcome desk, updated interior and comfortable pedicure chairs. This salon definitely has a spa feel and you are relaxed upon walking inside. I typically get SNS over tips or acrylic, but due to being short on time opted for a pedicure and gel mani. The pedicure took about 45-minutes and didn't smudge after leaving. The gel mani took only 30-minutes, but the polish was applied thin so it appears more natural. Will definitely be back again to try out their SNS and acrylic sets! read more

I have been going to Deluxe since they opened. I am disappointed to say I will not be back. Making an appointment here is completely disregarded and it is a chronic problem. They cannot explain how they handle appointments, but a 90 minute wait is not acceptable WITH an appointment. My girls planned a day to get their nails done for weeks,made an appointment and after 60 minutes, I had to take one of them home due to a prior commitment and the other waited an additional 30 minutes. It ruined the day they had planned together, not to mention my inconvenience to have to pick one up. The receptionist offered them a $5 gift certificate, not each, so $2.50 per customer. I had an appointment at 3:30 one day then when I went there I had to wait AN HOUR AND 15 MIN for my nails to get done. I was extremely disappointed. The staff is always unfriendly and rude here. I have been going to Deluxe Nails since they opened. The owners are wonderful caring and very professional people. They are consistently improving and the cleanliness of the salon is very much appreciated. Although they take credit cards they give a discount for paying cash. Alan is one of the owners and I highly recommend him as well as Jessica and Gwen the other owners. They all do an outstanding job. I love going there ! This is my second time trying this nail salon and both times I have been rushed. It's very annoying to try to enjoy your pedicure(my only break from my kids in weeks) while the girl stands next to you to do your nails at the same time.... how can you do a good gel manicure when standing in between pedicure chairs trying to rush to get it done??!? I had to hold the UV light on my lap. I had an apt. So it's not like I just walked in at a busy time. Also they walk around asking for payments while your getting your nails done so the front desk can close up well before they close at 7pm. The man who did the pedicure did a wonderful job though. Great nail salon! Very clean, friendly service and no waiting an hour or an hour and a half for service. The place was hopping, but still got my nails done with no long wait! I went there yesterday for the first time. Its a nice salon and I got a beautiful set of nails from Tracy. Minimal wait time for walk in and outstanding pedicure, again from Tracy. I only give them 3 stars for 2 reasons. First they're pricey although the quality was probably worth the price but the biggest reason is they charge $2 for using a credit card. It is not advertised anywhere that I could see although I wasn't really looking for that information. They have an atm on site which charges a fee to use. In this day and age many people don't carry cash and alot use their phones for payment. I think this policy is tacky and in many states illegal, although not in New Jersey. In reading other reviews I've noticed this is a complaint of many customers. It's a bad policy and turns customers off. I'm not sure if I will go back which is too bad because my nails are gorgeous read more

I have been using this salon for years and HIGHLY recommend them! I absolutely cannot relate to the complaints that I have read... I have never been rushed, NEVER had anyone do my mani while I got my pedi and have never been asked for payment before the completion of my service... Michael is amazing, but honestly, everyone does an excellent job. The receptionists job there is hectic... If any one has complained of rudeness, it may be do to the receptionist having a rough day (we've all had them...) One of the receptionists (will not name names) has a very dry sense of humor that many may not understand or appreciate, but she takes her job seriously and professionally. Yes, they do get busy and walk-ins are welcome, but they do a great job and the traffic they have because of it can cause a decent wait (that is well worth it because of the quality). My suggestion is to make and appointment, but be understanding that even if you do, you may still have to wait a few minutes before being seen. Pricing -wise they are a little high but Deluxe nails is worth it! read more

I have been going here for a little over a year and make sure to always call ahead to make an appointment. On Saturday 10/22 I waited an hour to be seen after calling ahead on Monday 10/17 to make a 9:30 appointment for a refill. When the hour was up the receptionist came up to me and apologized saying everyone who can do refills is busy. I said screw it and walked out. Why should I have to wait an hour for anyone one to see me when I made an appointment days in advance. I don't accept your apology, if you know you have a lot of appointments for a certain time you should of made sure to schedule enough people to cover that time. They actually do a wonderful job with nails - simple stuff and creative Pintrest-type manicures. The place is clean and modern looking with ample space.
