Delta Utah appears to be suffering economically and the Deltan Inn reflects that in its shambling, unkempt, ill-maintained facility. The cost was $42 for a small room with patched, rusty colored old carpet, missing (bare fixture) light bulbs, flickering TV (horizontal bands), falling-apart planters, broken ice machine, etc. Little was OK about the room and the place in general.
For the price, one cannot expect too much. But for an out-of-the-way and, frankly, undesirable location (not any kind of destination, I think) and for a place that hasn't seen any remodeling in perhaps 30 years and precious little maintenance of any sort, I think the price was about $10-15 too much. I'd expect to pay that for a well-kept chain motel such as Motel 6, not for a place that obviously has seen no care from the owner in many years.
Pass. I was sort of caught by circumstance and didn't expect to stay in Delta until the last minute and didn't see any alternatives (out of sight just a half mile away).
The only good thing about it pretty much was the microwave and small fridge. No ice, but it helped. read more
