Sadly, I didn't read this website before choosing this company to be my mover https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/protect-your-move/red-flags. Story time from the beginning, requesting the quote was fast and easy. Eddie called my phone and gave me cool tips to leave stuff in my furniture with drawers so I can utilize that space. He was super nice and answered all my questions. He told me boxes for the TV's I had were free of charge, told me about brokers and how they aren't like that. He then wanted a scope inventory to give me a better quote (original quote was $1300), after I told him how much crap I had he then increased the quote to $2300. Eddie billed me via paypal for the deposit which he said a deposit of $200 was fine. I didn't pay the invoice immediately because I was still considering it, but Eddie called me several times leaving several messages asking me to pay it so I can lock in that rate. I paid the deposit, and he never called or answered my calls ever again after that. The day of pickup. The guys that showed up were awesome, but they were in a rented budget van. English wasn't their first language so it was little hard understanding them, but they were fast, energetic and were really friendly. When they had arrived, they told me I had a lot of stuff, and the sqft of what I'm going to take up on the truck was doubling from the quote. They boxed up my tv's, and wrapped my furniture in moving boxes. When everything was loaded on the truck, the bossman went over the paperwork and inventory with me. He then showed me the price sheet which broken down was, $4000 for the space on the truck, and $1000 for labor and materials (Eddie lied about the materials being free of charge), and extra two flights of stairs fee (that Eddie failed to add to the quote) and asked for tip. I didn't have a delivery address for them, so they said they'd store my stuff and I had to contact them as soon as I knew because it can take anywhere between 1-14 days to deliver. I contacted them a week before my official move in day and they wouldn't speak to me until I paid the extra charges that accumulated from the day of the move. After I paid, I requested that my belongings be delivered my first official moving day (a Wednesday), they told me they would do their best to accommodate me and reassured me that my stuff was getting loaded on a truck on a Monday and that it would take anywhere between 1-4 days. I contacted the new driver and he told me he can get it to me on that Wednesday. That Wednesday. I called the driver and asked approximately what time I should expect him. He told me he didn't have my stuff, that another driver did, and he gave me this other drivers info and hung up on me. I called this other driver and he told me they were loading up my stuff in his truck which was still at the original destination (830+ miles south). I was furious, I called the headquarters, the woman who I had been in contact with (since Eddie dropped off the face of the planet) was clueless as to what was happening. Her boss called me back saying that my stuff was getting loaded today, and it would be the first one dropped off so it would be 2 more days before it would get to me. On Thursday I called the driver to get an estimate time for when he'd show up, he said around noon time, and he'd call me before hand to let me know he was approaching soon. That Friday the driver calls me and tells me he is stuck half way through the destination and can't get to me that Friday, but will arrive at first thing Saturday. That Saturday, he shows up with a generic truck, with a different DOT license and is EXTREMELY RUDE. He had one person with him to help him move all my crap. He told me that more movers are on their way. He also rudely asked me to pay upfront, and I said why, when my stuff got picked up I paid after. He told me when I go to mcdonalds I have to pay first. Yeah well I don't like mcdonalds, and restaurants serve you first, before paying, but after arguing for a few minutes, I gave up and paid. The help that showed up after was nice and friendly, but unprofessional and had no tools to put my furniture together. My furniture came damaged and when I spoke to the driver he said he saw it was already like that. I didn't want to argue anymore with this jerk, but he wasn't there when my stuff got picked up so how can he argue that? Unprofessional, unreliable, untrustworthy. Moved from KCMO to SF. While the pickup went smoothly, delivery took weeks despite quickly providing a moving address. Delivery date was given with less than 24 hours notice, boxes were received heavily damaged, missing, and a number of items were delivered that weren't mine. DO NOT USE- TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE At first, I was quite happy with Delta Moving Systems for move from Texas to Illinois. Edward was very helpful on the phone and came out to do an estimate for the interstate move. He then allowed me to update the estimate a couple of days before the move, once I had packed and knew exactly how many boxes. We spoke on the phone several times and he was very responsive. They provide you a window that your stuff will be picked up, and, when no one arrived during that window, I called. The movers told me they would be another hour (past the window). They then took two and a half hours to load the truck for a one-bedroom townhome. When I asked how I would hear about the arrival of my stuff, the foreman told me to call Edward the following week. And this is where the true issues began. The following week, as directed, I called Edward on his cell phone. He picked up and said he'd talk to someone in operations and call me back in a half hour. I never heard from him again. I tried both this office and cell number several times after that. I then started calling the main number and speaking to Hilda, the dispatcher. Every time I spoke to her, she said she would call the driver, or check with so-and-so and give me a call back. She'd usually give me a time frame (24 hours, 2 hours, 20 mins, etc.). I NEVER received a call back from Delta. At this point, I was fairly patient, calling once every day or two days. But then it was July 3rd, the 4th was a holiday, and I was due to start my new job on the 5th. No one had called me to tell where my stuff was or when it would arrive. On the 3rd, I called Hilda. She said she spoke to the driver and he'd call me back in two hours. When two hours had passed, I called Hilda again and demanded to speak to a supervisor. She said he was on the phone and would call me back in 20 mins. Of course, no one called. When I called back, she said he'd stepped out and wasn't sure when he'd be back. And, when I asked for Edward, she said he was "at lunch"--it was 2:30. I told Hilda I'd wait on the line until someone spoke to me. I waited half an hour and no one came. Finally, late that afternoon, the driver (a contractor used by Delta) called me and said he'd be delivering the next day (they're supposed to give you 72 hours-notice--not less than 24). I kept a record of all my calls, and in total, I called Delta Moving Systems TWELVE times without ONCE hearing back from them. A manager never called. Edward never called. And poor Hilda had to just keep passing on the company's lies. read more

I Hired Delta through a intermediary because I was not located in Missouri and I needed someone reliable to move my items. The process leading up to them was good until the actual pick up. Some one arrived at my storage facility in Missouri and picked up my items and then I did not hear from them for three weeks. The first time I spoke to them, they told me my items would be to me by the end of the week. After three weeks I finally got a response that said my truck was on its way. When it finally arrived at my house, the movers unloaded all of my items but after further review, they did not deliver all of my items. I called the truck driver and he found my item and returned but only because he had dropped someone else's items at my house. After I finally unpacked all of my items, I also learned that a number of my items that numbered in the high $$ were "misplaced" and never made it to me. I continually called the company and complained asking if they had my items but on every occasion they said the items were misplaced. I ended up filing a claim with movers insurance and they have yet to get back with me either. End of the day, I will never use them again!! read more

I write reviews to help others and always do so honestly. Please stay clear of this shipper. The headache and stress is something I have not experienced before and I have moved between three major cities in 6 years. They will call you multiple times to get your service. Do the entire nice roll play. Act as if they are a real business, there to serve the customer. They will assure you that everything is good. Eventually they will leave you expecting a service that unfortunately will not come to be. The shipping times are highly exaggerated. If they tell you 7-10 business days it will take 21 days or more. If you call...well...they wont call back. Making you think someone just stole your entire home. When they finally do call they will do so the day before they delivery the items. This is important, listen up, when they call you that means the next day is your delivery day. No butts or wiggle room. No heads up, no time to plan. They pick the day and time and that is final. This would be fine if they called three days before the delivery date but no, they essentially give you under 24hrs. Leaves you wondering who the customer is? If you are not available on that day...well guess what $600/day in fees. They also have a tendency to hang up on you mid call. Please do yourself a favor, pick a reputable shipper that understands simple business ethics. I hate writing reviews like this but I do not want anyone else getting burned like I did. I spent a month sleeping on a yoga mat waiting for my home goods to arrive. What was supposed to be 7-10 days turned into 18+ days and getting hit with random fees. The quote the provide is based on complete lies so that you select the company. They will ended up charging 3 time more that what they quoted and I took less things that what I had in the quote. When I call and requested to be present when the items were going to be weight, they said that was no problem, that they will call me and they never did. When I called to follow up, they said that they had already done it and they provided a fake number that NO way could have been my furniture. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I moved for work, and used them to move from Texas to Missouri, this was the worst moving experience I have ever experienced. To start, everything seemed great, the representative sent someone to our house to give us a quote, agreed to everything, signed the contract, then moving day came. The movers showed up 4 hours late (was told that they would come between 1-3, showed up at 7pm!). This happens sometimes, I get it, but then we got no information about our stuff for 3 weeks. I called about 12 times trying to get updates from the representative who sold me the contract, with no avail. I continued to call. This is 3 weeks into the move, and I finally get in contact with someone in the operations department, and they tell me (according to the contract we have 21 days, but I'll call you later today with an update). I never received a call. I then called again the next day 3 times, left 2 messages asking to speak with customer service, no reply. I then call 3 more times the next day, and finally someone answers. They put me in touch with the operations department again, he tells me again he will call me later that day. He finally does, and tells me a delivery date. We then got our stuff. I have since, called the company 4 more times and left messages wishing to speak with customer service, AND STILL have not gotten a call back. On top of all of this, to follow up on my contract, I went to the link for the contract I signed, and the contract is gone. It said "If you wish to view the contract you signed, you need to speak to a customer service representative" with no contact information, no phone number, no email. The issue with this company is the sheer lack of professionalism. I read some good reviews on Yelp and decided to use Delta Movers to help with a cross country move for my dad. Huge mistake! After the fact, it came to my attention that they had a BBB (Better Business Bureau) score of F. I now see Yelp has posted a warning about fake positive reviews. 1) The sign up process was easy, working with someone named Denise. I booked several weeks out and was told I could get delivery on June 27th, 2017 ("no problem, assuming no weather issues"). We paid the 25% deposit and they came and picked up the items on June 7th, 2017. 2) On June 13th I was contacted by Alena, who had taken over the account, saying we owed another payment of 35%. She wouldn't take a credit card without me signing away legal rights, so I asked her to send me the amount and I'd pay when I got home (I was out of the country at the time). I made the mistake of assuming that my dad's furniture and other items were on their way. 3) On the 19th Alena called to say my items had not shipped because I hadn't paid the 35% yet. Needless to say, I was floored. I paid the amount and called Denise to have a manager call me as I wanted someone else assigned to my account as Alena's communication skills were horrible. No manager call. 4) On the 25th I was told my items still had not moved and they had no shipping estimates. I posted a review on yelp hoping I would get some response. Within 60 minutes a manager (Matt) called me. He yelled at me (literally) and threatened to return the items to San Francisco if I didn't remove the yelp review. After about 20 minutes of him blaming me for this issue because I hadn't paid the second installment within 5 days, he said he'd have a driver assigned Monday (6/26) and I could get my stuff around July 4-7th if I pulled my yelp review. I pulled the review. 5) As of Friday 6/30 the items were still sitting in San Francisco (now at 3 weeks). On July 3rd the truck finally started the trip. Even though the contract said in big bold letters they were not brokers, they actually contracted out the delivery to another company, which in fact makes them exactly that: BROKERS. We only found this out when the driver called when he was nearing Miami and he told us that he didn't work for Delta but was a contracted driver with a truck containing multiple shipments. (Also of note: during this time I called Matt a few times with no return calls). 6) On July 9th (almost two weeks after the original delivery date) we received a call from the contract driver saying he would deliver the items the next day. Then he (the driver) started talking about extra fees. Although I didn't reach out to Delta, I received a call from Ben at Delta saying that rather than deliver on the 9th they were going to have a different crew, claiming that these were actually people who work for Delta, deliver the items so that we "wouldn't be charged extra fees by the driver," but that would add a couple days to the process. 7) On the morning of July 12th, we heard from the other crew saying that they were in Florida (having been called in from St. Louis...?) and would be arriving later in the afternoon. By the end of the day, we were told, by the crew ,that they had to go to the west coast of Florida first and would now be arriving in the morning. 8) The morning of July 13th we receive another call saying that they had to finish the job in West Florida, then they had to pick up the items in a warehouse two hours north of Miami. They didn't arrive until 8pm. The crew and the truck rolled up and then told my father he owed them over $2K. I was not there for the delivery but received panicked calls from my father saying he thought it was less and didn't have that much cash and they would not unload the items without cash in hand. After about an hour I was able to find an email I had received a few days earlier from Delta that confirmed in writing the actual amount due on delivery, which of course was much less than $2K. The crew also received word from their "dispatcher" that the amount they had was wrong. They finally started to unload around 9pm. 9) The unloading did not finish until after 11pm so there was no time to unpack (note: we paid an extra few hundred dollars for extra unpacking services which we did not receive). We ended up hiring someone else to unpack the items. As we unpacked, we discovered that several items were missing and damaged. In addition we found other items in our delivery that were not ours (to me this clearly indicates that our shipment was moved around to several warehouses and not adequately tracked). To date we have not received any reimbursement for missing or damaged items, the work not performed was not reimbursed, nor has Delta picked up the items that our not ours and belong to someone else. I hope this feedback helps save someone else from the problems we had. read more

I'm seeing these other bad reviews but I had a nice experience with this company actually. I used them to go from Texas to Colorado (what a change, right?), and all of my belongings got there on-time and in one piece with the exception of this one chair. But they have an insurance policy that covers damages, so the whole chair issue was remedied. The customer service was great- the lady on the other end was very polite and straight-to-the-point. I did have to speak to a manager at one point for further clarification on the insurance, and the whole ordeal was quickly handled. There was some back and forth about the arrival time for my things but it all worked out fine and I appreciate them calling rather than leaving me in the dark about the status of my stuff. Transport was fine, save for that one chair (but honestly, I could foresee the same damage occurring if I had taken it myself. The leg broke off at some point, but it was a pretty old antique). Obviously bummed about that one piece, but everything else was in perfect condition. I did have to unpack on my own, but understandable for the price. 4/5, I didn't have any prolonged problems with this company and will gladly use their service again if I ever want to go back to the ridiculous Texas weather. read more

They broke a table of ours as well as broke half our glasses. The also "misplaced" two kitchen table chairs as well as my favorite neon beer sign. I've emailed claims and haven't heard from them in over two weeks. Not a fun experience at all. I would not recommend them to anyone unless they settle up on our losses. I get it that things happen. I used this company for a move from TX to CA. Just like the other reviews, this was a terrible terrible experience with awful service. In summary: 1. the overall cost ended up being double the quoted cost 2. their sales folks are aggressive, but once you have signed a contract, forget hearing from them. Their customer service is terrible. 3. there is no tracking of your goods, you will not know when they will arrive. Mine arrived 10 days after the quoted delivery date. 4. They are not the movers, dont own the trucks etc. They just sell space. 5. You WILL pay additional fees when you receive your goods, hidden as extra distance to walk, or elevator fees. I should have done more research on this company prior to booking them. I have moved 9 times over the past 20 years with multiple van lines and have had many good experiences, but this was the worst one of all. To begin with, this company did a poor job of packing. Items were not wrapped properly and arrived broken, large items were scratched and damaged, and one of my sofa's had the back support completely broken. Once the claim was filed, they told me they only pay .60/lb for damaged items. I'm told this after we agreed when the move was quoted by their sales associate, that I require full replacement value for loss or damage and was told that's no problem. What a joke! Please don't use this company for anything. They would not stand behind this and the claims company they use, CSI, would be an upgrade to say they were terrible to work with. Called and left multiple messages and everyone says they'll call you back and then you don't hear from them. My stuff is missing for weeks. They threaten you and say that they legally have 21 business days to deliver your load (which is a month!!). Pure evil and terrible service for the price. SKETCHIEST COMPANY EVER. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. WORST IDEA EVER!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!!! I was promised a delivery date for my items to arrived. I had confirmed with Alena (operations manager) 3 times before the date. I texted Alena the DAY OF delivery to ensure we were still on for my move to Pennsylvania. She called and confirmed. I texted Alena 1 hour before delivery and asked for the movers phone number. Alena then texted back and said "Sorry i got you confused with an Oregon delivery and your stuff will not be delivered." IN A TEXT. After i had just driven 13 hours to move across state, not having a thing with me or knowing a single person within 1000miles. I called Alena furious bc i needed my stuff. She was extremely rude and said sorry and pawned me off to her supervisor. Her supervisor had no idea what was going on. He was clueless and extremely defensive saying things like "you obviously don't know how transportation works" or "the contract technically says i have 21days to deliver your stuff so." So now i am stuck in a foreign state with no belongings after paying 60% of the bill. The movers finally showed up 3 days later at 8:30 PM AT NIGHT on a Sunday.......They had called me earlier and said they would be there between 5-6. 2.5hours later and they are now trying to move me in the dark. The movers then told me i needed to pay them $150 fee for having an elevator. I had asked Alena in the BEGINNING of the move if there were any hidden fees or charges i needed to know about and told her i lived on second floor BEFORE the move. She PROMISED me there would not be....that was another lie. The movers were on their phones the whole time, they didn't unwrap anything, they are missing pieces of my bed that should have been put together, and they left trash in the hallway of my complex, as well as screws and nails everywhere in the carpets. They couldn't drive the truck, a random guy in my apartment complex who drives trucks for a living had to help them. IT WAS SUCH A MESS. I am missing several items (cooking pots, pans, trash can...ect.) and all of my boxes were upside down and smashed. I have moved many times before, and I'm well aware that some damage always happens. But not even in my worst nightmare could I have imagined that the movers would break or lose virtually all of my furniture. When the mover finally arrived, several weeks late, he apologized for the state of the boxes and furniture but told me that he only drove the last segment of the move and that they were already broken when he collected them. He also said that my stuff had been left in some random warehouse in Denver for a couple of weeks while Delta was trying to find the cheapest driver to continue the move. The moving team (driver and helper) came and picked up all our household goods and furniture. They were timely and professional, very efficient and were very careful with our belongings. The driver was very good at explaining all charges, and since our cubic footage was more than the original estimate, he explained the additional charge. Horrible, Awful, UNETHICAL people!!! DO NOT USE THEM!!! First, let me say that I am handling the move of my 19 year old daughter, as she is autistic and can not do it herself. This move is actually to send her to an autistic program in Minnesota. We got to Delta Movers through a broker called Coast to Coast Moving. Loved the Coast to Coast guys: polite, helpful, caring. Delta on the other hand ... not so much. We were promised that the quoted and contracted price would be all we would pay- no hidden fees for fuel charges, packing supplies, bubble wrap for the corners of the dresser, having to go up an elevator... anything. From the moment Delta arrived to pick up my daughters things they were rude, arrogant, and tried to charger us for extra things that were supposed to be included. When I refused to sign saying I would pay they got even ruder. I was only given 45 minute notice of when they would be there and had to zip home from school at lunch to meet them. We had everything in a pile in the garage with the exception of the bed and dresser. I had to leave to go back to work- I am a teacher and I can not just leave school- I have to have a Sub. My 19 year old autistic daughter was left home as they finished loading everything. What I later found out, is that they brought out an additional form that I had not seen before I left, ADDED EXTRA FEES AND HAD MY SPECIAL NEEDS DAUGHTER SIGN THE FORM. Because she is special needs she did not understand what they had done and signed; charging us an additional $350 for various "things" (fuel charges that type of thing). COMPLETLY UNETHICAL!!!!! I will be contacting the Federal Department of Transportation which governs movers going across a state line and filling a formal complaint. US. The service rep lied with a low estimate to get our business and doubled the price two days before the move. They blamed me for under estimating how much stuff I had but I told them a full house. They took advantage of a vulnerable gold star mother and a disabled vet. The crew they hired to unload my belongings did not put anything where we asked-they left heavy items outside that I could not move (disabled vet). DO NOT Use This company to move. I spoke to a person for over an hour, explaining to her that we were moving the contents of a 2,000 sq ft house, which included a couch, 2 queen beds, and various alrge and small furniture. So what did they send me on moving day? A van! One of those that seats like 8 people. Not even the mattresses themsellves could have fit in here, let alone the 100 boxes I told them about. In no universe could this have resulted without some form of negligence. It is a good thing that they gave me my money back or I would have sued them for fraudulant advertisement. Excellent job done for my stepchildrens move! Two men showed up to my house expecting to pick up 17 items, which was WAY less than what I actually had for them to pick up. The move was set up by someone out of state who didn't know how much had to go, so not fault of Delta. I had the majority of their items packed up and was under the impression they were going to finish the rest, however, that is not how this move was set up. Regardless, these guys helped me pack everything up and took all of the kids belongings without complaint. I was very impressed with their reaction and willingness to help out, especially on a Monday holiday. I cannot remember the names, but want to say that one may have been Will. ZERO STARS, this company was one of the worst experiences of my life! Avoid doing business with them at all cost!! They promise all kinds of discounts when signing. Once we paid our deposit our estimated price went up by $500. We were literally never able to get ahold of our sales representative after they picked up our belongings. Their only 800 number goes to voicemail every time. No one returns calls. Drivers are hours late. The only way we were able to get any phone numbers to call was through another customer. Customer service representative we were able to speak to after weeks of not having our belongings was unhelpful and rude. They couldn't get our new address or phone number correct. We were moving from Texas to Florida, which is supposed to be their specialty. We started out speaking to Edward thinking it was going to be a good experience. He made it sound like our furniture would arrive on our requested day, which is apparently their premier service (was not mentioned). We agreed and signed the papers after I spoke with him, my husband and my mother. He agreed not to go by weight as long as we matched his list (which he short listed us on). They tried to pick up our furniture a day earlier than scheduled, which I had to say no too. They wrapped up our furniture very well, and stickered everything but didn't take down what everything was. They then proceeded to tell me that my delivery was between Tuesday-Thursday, instead of Saturday or Sunday which we were told. We were finally called and given either Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning basically wasting two days. They're here now but have subcontracted out the people to bring our furniture in. The driver knows nothing! The people moving the furniture (not Delta employees) are AMAZING! And extremely helpful. But basically now no one has any clue what is what, and the driver refused to move anything more than once (aka once in the house) so once unwrapped he wouldn't move it again. I've called the company MANY times and spoken to Luis the manager for the shipping but he didn't help much, told me Andre (filling in for the manager in Costa Rica) was going to call me on Monday. It took me several calls to get Luis to call and so far nothing from Andre even though I've called multiple times today. I would NOT recommend them out any out of state of moves!!!!! read more

To anyone who is thinking of using Delta Movers to go across country or even door to door, I would recommend tying your items to your back and make that walk to your new home!!!! This will rest assure your items are intact and will actually arrive on time, will NOT be broken/damaged and will NOT disappear!!!! With that being said, going through Delta Movers ESPECIALLY FROM Texas AKA Ms. Amber Brown "Moving Consultant" and Mr. Edward Jordan "Logistics Manager" is a bad mistake!! They obviously have no clue how to do their job!! Let me share my experience with you!! After getting five different quotes from 5 different companies, Delta Movers fooled me into going with them. I spent many hours on the phone with Edward Jordan, letting him know that I have several pieces of memorabilia not to mention all the other expensive items in my home. He assured me he has done this many times before and could easily handle it. As you read further you will see he's a complete liar and a dipshit who does not know how to do his job!! After talking with the moving consultant Amber Brown and the logistic manager, Edward Jordan, they convinced me that they will do a good job for us. Please keep in mind, my wife, our four furbabies and I were all Hurricane Harvey survivors and we were forced to move to Seattle to take on a new job. Delta Movers knew this and I presume they took advantage of that. Please keep in mind I paid Delta Movers in full. The contract clearly states pick up date as Feb 25th 2018, 1st available date for delivery on their BILL OF LADING was for March 1st 2018. Our items never showed up to our new residence until April 9th 2018. If you are reading this, please stay tuned because what I am going to say will probably save you a ton of money.... As of Feb 26th 2018 (one day after pickup), Edward Jordan assured me my item were being loaded onto a truck and will be heading to Seattle as we speak. A few days later, after checking in with him, he said everything is still on route to the Northwest. After my wife and I reached our destination, we called him and he told us our items were in Spokane WA and we should get it the following day (which by the way Spokane is just 4 hours away from Auburn WA where we live). After numerous attempts to reach Mr. Jordan, he finally emailed us to tell us our items have been re-routed!! After numerous attempts to contact him, he fell out of contact and we finally reached Amber Brown who clearly stated to me in an email that I still have telling us that our items never left Texas in the first place and they were stored away in their warehouse!!!!!!! Amber Brown seemed to be our solution to the problem they created by promising us that she will take care of it right after her maternity leave and yet after almost two and a half months, we still receive no update. The last email I got from Amber Brown telling me the management will be having a meeting to make things right for us and she will update us immediately after the meeting because she knew Delta Movers was in the wrong. Well here we are again, after almost a month, STILL NO UPDATE!!!! I have contacted the BBB (Better Business Bureau), Delta Movers and even on Yelp!! Now they are even ignoring our emails and phone calls!!!! If anyone has any legal advise or any suggestion as to the next step forward, please let me know!! Best case scenario, anyone reading this, PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH DELTA MOVERS!!!! The last advice I got from a third party mover that Delta Movers worked with to deliver our items told me my biggest mistake was paying in full!! After Hurricane Harvey, losing my job and having to relocate was tough but having a moving company take full advantage of our predicament is nothing less than disgusting!!!! We initially got a great quote from Amber who came to both our home and storage unit to inventory our belongings. We thought the estimate was too good to be true. So, we looked into the reviews which raised an eyebrow. My husband called her back and started asking questions about delivery date. Amber would not give a direct answer and kept dancing around the question. Then, she finally said that all long-distance moves have a 7-21 day window. I have moved across the country multiple times and have never heard such an absurdity. Maybe a few days, but never that long. Then she said that she would look into pricing a designated truck which would obviously cost more, but would pinpoint the delivery to 7-11 days. When we asked how much more, she couldn't answer because she had lost the inventory and would have to come back out. So, we made an appointment for 4 pm a few days later. At 4:21 on the day of the appointment, Amber finally calls and says that a designated truck would be about 6K more. So, why didn't she call us earlier in the day to ask if we still wanted to keep the appointment? Anyway, I would run the other way. If you can't keep track of an inventory or keep an appointment or give me a window shorter than 7-21 days then how can I possibly do business with you. Pathetic. read more

These guys acting like professionals but not. Let me start my sad story Two rude and Disrespectful people came on a Sunday morning and started moving my stuff. I packed all my stuff and kept ready except for a few big items like Bed , TV etc. I was being uninformed of the hidden charges for padding my tv and my glass top computer table. They charged me 200 $ for the miserable packing. Packing with carelessness and also rude to us if we try to talk to them about the horrible packing style and charging extra for just the padding and the cardboard and the tape. The guy was literally sitting on the top of my glass desk and put the tape and when we asked not to do he was like this has cardboard and padding will not damage the product.hmmm!!!!!!yup like me, you might be also wondering $200 for just the cardboard and padding which is worth 30$ max in Walmart. I am atleast ok if they pack it professionally. They took my bed frame with their dirty hands and it left their black hand prints on my tempur pedic bed frame.Such a uncivil crap! owwww the way they handled my three seat recliner couch and taped it might give a heart attack to any one who atleast saw this in action.Last but not least the way they tossed my dyson vacuum cleaner was the highlight of all.So guys beware of delta movers crew! Second Part. The truck arrived on time which is the only positive thing of all. The crew who unpacked/delivered my stuff at my destination was really good.But the number of items broken are worth more than what i paid to the coast to coast move. 1)My 2 out of 4 dining wooden chairs are broken 2)My office glass desk which he charged extra for packing was miserably broken.The Fit for nothing guys taped it without even removing the legs of it, which is a very basic packing technique followed by all. The crew who came to deliver my stuff was feeling the same. 3) My 3 seater power recliner not working anymore because of the careless packing and negligence of not retracting it properly prior to packing 4)My wardrobe shelves are broken 5)Vacuum clean 450$ Dyson, Remember the one they tossed from the top inside the truck was broken and now valueless Pros: Sales person Ebony is good till we decided to move with them. Accurate inventory details and communicated well. Cons: Lied about hidden charges Rude Packing and irritating crew. Fit for nothing candidates works for them Have to teach or hire a person who knows packing No clue on the damage claim or Insurance Process is more and action is less Can easy expect broken items worth more than the moving cost Finally if you ever call Delta movers for the move then be sure to face the above consequences!! read more

Do NOT, under any circumstances, use this company. They have an "F" rating from the BBB and for a good reason. I used them through a broker, which I will also be complaining about. They give you a low offer to get you to sign with them, but they require a "deposit" to lock in the rate. They did arrive mostly on time to pick up items, but the movers were rude, they immediately jacked up the original estimate, and they broke a piece of my furniture and denied doing it. I was told that my move should not take any more than 10 days at the most. Three weeks went by until finally we made a big enough stink that they had to hire out another moving company in order to get our stuff to us! On top of all that, they gave us a box of items that didn't belong to us. We called them the very next day and told them that we got somebody else's box. They said they will call Fed-Ex and get it picked up the following Saturday. Saturday comes and goes and Fed-Ex never shows. We proceed to call them several times over the next SIX WEEKS about this package, saying they called Fed-Ex. Fed-Ex never showed up and there is no record of ever getting a request for any pickup. Eventually, the company just stopped answering the phone and have refused to call us back. Today, I sent the package back to their office through UPS, so now it is there problem. I left a message today with them to let them know their mistake is being sent to them. I also let them know how I felt about them. They seem to be calling themselves "Global Movers" now. Do not be fooled! They used to be called a different company before they were called Delta. All the details are at the Better Business Bureau Website. A poor company, use literally anybody else. I hired Delta Moving Systems to ship my stuff for out of state moving, and it was the worst experience I ever had in business transactions. For the whole month, there were many minor annoying incidents with them, but I am writing only two major issues here. The sales person gave me a quote on the delivery, and he rejected my request to dispatch someone to review my stuff for final figure, telling me no need to do that; even a few more boxes would not change the quote he gave me. But when the day two movers came, they charged me approximately 50% higher. And I no longer had time to seek for different movers, and I already made down payment to them as they required. It was just all by their estimate, not by actual total weight. The mover told me that he is charging for maximum estimate, and the sale person will contact me the next day, adjusting the amount down with actual weighting. He did not. When they delivered my stuff, I found one box is missing, and some of my furniture pieces got seriously damaged. I reported those damaged and lost items in their inventory sheet, but it has been ignored. I contacted them several times, but all I got was an email finally with some fake links that direct to their website for reporting. read more

I would highly suggest AVOIDING this company at all costs. Not even sure where to start with this one. They raised their binding contract dollar amount by double. And then once the movers got to our house the day of the move they raised it again. The truck that showed up in our driveway to take away all of our belongings had a sign duct taped to the drivers door but the sign was not for Stout. It was extremely disheartening to watch our belongings be loaded onto a truck that was not with who our contract was with. Movers smelled of smoke, smoked constantly, used unprofessional language even with our 2 year old present, asked me to buy them dinner but then didn't pay me for it, showed up hours late, and were very much amateurs. They put tape directly onto all of our wood furniture, so when we removed the tape it peeled varnish off the wood. They threw everything into huge "wardrobe" boxes that we had to pay for (which were not wardrobe boxes but we certainly got charged for them anyway). When unpacking, we found items from our kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, and garage all in one box. Very unprofessional. We were promised that the foreman who picked up our belongings would be the same one to deliver at our new house, but he was nowhere to be seen. Our items were picked up on a Friday and we were promised delivery at our new home by that following Friday. Stout put our items in a storage unit in our new city and didn't come deliver our belongings until that NEXT Wednesday. So they didn't meet our time requirements or their time promise to us. The company is impossible to get a hold of and avoids clients. When I was finally able to get a hold of the customer service manager, she hung up on me twice because I demanded answers on when we would get our belongings. She blamed other customers as the reason why we weren't getting our belongings (nearly a week later than promised). I began to think the company was a scam and I feared the worst. When we finally did get oir belongings, countless items were broke. Our dryer was missing a while knob (broke off) and the vent was missing. My sons toy chest was missing wood pieces all together. My grandmas dishes that she handed down to me are shattered. The list goes on and on. The guys who delivered our items weren't given the key to the storage unit, so they had to pay to have the lock cut. They didn't have our contract with stout and of course their truck also didn't say stout on it. There was no inventory system and we have yet to find everything. These delivery guys told me that they hate stout and all the people smoke weed in the back room and it is the most unprofessional company they have ever contracted with (even though stout told us they don't contract with anyone, they do all of their own work). I have tried getting a hold of stout since the end of November with no luck (it is now into January). No one will return a phone call. Sincerely, please do not use this company. I don't want anyone to go through what we have gone through with them. *I am willing to update this review if they ever call me back. read more

A recording says you have reached the office of Patricia Bay, Customer Service Manager, and that she will return your call. NO, SHE WON'T!!! No one ever answers the phone or lets you know anything. They took only about a third of my belongings, even though I had an estimate with everything listed, and said they would need another $3000 to take it all. I wouldn't have given it to them if I had it - no way! I had to rent a moving truck and a storage room for what they wouldn't take, costing me more money for storage and another upcoming move WHICH I WILL DO, MYSELF, BEFORE TRUSTING THESE LYING THIEVES to do anything else to me!! The team at Delta was extraordinary during my frantic last-minute move to Chicago. Obie was the lead mover, and he is an absolute rock star. I was the last pickup, and Obie and Junior worked late into the night to finish loading the truck and make sure everything ran on time. We ran into some hiccups with the delivery building (highrise in Chicago) that had "unique" restrictions on allowing moving companies/trucks into the building, but Ben, Alena, and Obie worked with me to find a solution so delivery could still be made on time. Moving is always stressful, but Delta's responsiveness and problem solving saved the day. Highly recommend. read more

I was given a binding contract of 3100 dollars. The day the Packers came, they took 7 hours for what should have taken no more than 4 hours. They also charged me a 100 dollar bulky item fee for a dresser..... afterwards they charged me 1000 dollars more than the BINDING contract price, over 4100 dollars. The Packers were also extremely unprofessional and didn't pack the items correctly. They wont answer the phone, and wont return phone calls. They also tried to say items were not on the inventory check list but when I looked, they were there. Do NOT use these movers! read more
