I stayed at this hotel for an overnight stay. I was greeted immediately when I arrived, thanked for my bonvoy elite status, and given a room in the top floor. My room was 2 twin beds that was about 280sqft. The room looked modern and comfortable. The bed was a bit firm and pillows were a bit lumpy, but it was comfortable enough to sleep. The TV was large and there were enough channels to watch, as well as some of the smart apps. The working area was nice and spacious for me. While there was coffee in my room, it was a bit bitter for me. The room was well lit and inviting.
The bathroom looked clean and alright. The shower had decent amount of water pressure and temperature worked when needed. The towels did it's job.
The public areas reminded me of a Holiday Inn. Nothing really fancy, but modern and comfortable. The gym was had various equipment, and I practiced my bull riding on the exercise ball. The pantry for platinum and above elites was decently stocked. I took a brownie, which was a nice treat. The pool was outdoors, but I didn't see anyone use it. The lobby seating area looked inviting.
There is a small restaurant and bar, and I took an old fashioned for 13 dollars. It was strong enough to enjoy. There was a happy hour every day from 4 to 6, but it was for beer and wine only. While the breakfast items were at the pantry, I was given a coupon for breakfast at the restaurant too. I took a yogurt parfait, which was fine and healthy. The coffee looked to be Starbucks, which was too bitter for me. Also, the free selection of items were limited and served cafe style (ordering at the counter than full service).
While the overall hotel would have been given 4 stars, I am upping to 5 because of the excellent staff. When checking in, I was given great info about the hotel, the facilities, and the services. When I had an issue with the TV, the engineer staff came immediately to fix it. There was free shuttle within 5 mile radius, and it was ready for me at the exact time I needed it. And getting the shuttle back to the hotel was as easy as calling the hotel. The van looked to be an electric vehicle as well, so it was nice and quiet.
Because of the excellent service that I almost always get an any Marriott property, it deserves 5 stars from me. While the rooms are nothing extraordinary, it was still clean and comfortable for a Marriott property. The amenities were decent, but nothing upscale. I wished there was a full service restaurant for breakfast, but the food was still good and the elite pantry was a bonus. While I still perfect Sheraton or Marriott for higher level of service and comfort, the Delta makes an excellent Marriott chain hotel for business and families without breaking the bank.
