A very negative environment for children. All last season a coach was swearing at the kids at competitions if they didn't perform perfectly. Many children felt uncomfortable with this and this was children from the age of 8 to 15 they had on this team. At a competition when the team was practicing, that same coach was angry and grabbed a child by the arm and pulled her off the mat. This was witnessed not only by the team, but the staff at the competition, and athletes from another gym. They know this happened and there is proof that they acknowledge the incident, so they can't even deny it now. The staff at the competition kicked them out of that building for how they were treating the kids and yelling. Then they released the kids without warning to the parents and walked off, not making sure the kids even got to each of their parents. Only a couple of parents were there and we never saw a coach or the owner when the kids were let out. It was a complete mess with kids crying and one having a panic attack. The gym just brushed all these concerns off like all of it was no big deal. There is a culture of bullying there that is so disappointing, from children and staff alike. Just this week, a staff member called a child a very nasty mean word that I can't repeat or my review might get taken down. Injuries are not taken seriously here and children are pushed to come back from injuries before they are healed. This is such an unhealthy practice, you should want your athletes to be healthy, but all they care about is winning. The final straw was how they handled a child's very serious injury. While this is a dangerous sport, there are measures that should be taken to ensure the athletes safety when learning new skills or practicing current ones. The stunt was not being done properly to such a degree that the flyer was dropping to the ground repeatedly. Instead of doing anything to fix it, they were made to just keep doing the stunt. Usually in cheerleading, it is taken very seriously when a flyer is dropped because of the high chance of injury. It was not taken seriously, no changes were made, and the last time the child was dropped their arm broke to such a degree that the bone was sticking out of their arm. The situation should have been handled with more urgency, and in the following days with more tact. They are also suppressing reviews on all platforms any way they can. They've blocked people on Facebook so they can't give them bad reviews and are reporting any bad reviews on Google. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!! read more
